    Hello Temelt 14

Balaam was a non-Israelite diviner (sorcerer) who was asked by the King of his people to curse the Israelites do that they could be conquered. But God made it so that Balaam spoke blessings upon Israelites rather than evil curses. Balaam, though he spoke blessings instead of curses upon God's people, was still an evil occultic person who was powerful (through the devil) in bringing evil upon others. The king obviously esteemed Balaam to be powerful to weaken his enemies through the curses Balaam could speak over enemies. But his power came from the evil one, not God. His practices were an abomination to God and totally prohibited for any one devoted to God to participate in.

    Hello Paul,

I hope you don't mind me stepping in here, but I would like to add that anything is possible with God except sinning or doing evil. God will never cross that boundary because His essential nature is unable to do so. He is absolutely pure and sinless. He is without shadow or hint of corruption. He is infinitely righteous in all of His ways.

He could destroy all of creation in just one word if His will was to do so. He could have today be the day of Christ's return if His wisdom determined that history is at its end. He could end the lives of all who are unredeemed instantly. But He does not do this due to His mercy and grace towards humanity that He created and redeemed through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He is patient and longsuffering, willing that many more will come to believe the Gospel, even today, or tomorrow, or ten years from now. We are to trust in His wisdom and will, knowing He loves every person He creates and desires for each person to come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ int the Gospel. He also has empowered the Gospel by the Holy Spirit, to bring conviction of sin, repentance, faith, and regeneration to those who hear it preached. So, let us concentrate on bringing the Gospel to any who will openly hear it, that they may receive the salvation that is only in Jesus Christ.

We may never be able to resolve the seeming contradictions or paradoxes in the Scriptures. But, I believe if we endeavor to read the Scripture to gain knowledge of the saving grace of God throughout history and not to be critical of the Scripture, we will discover such truth that these seeming contradictions will not seem such large matters to us in light of the redeeming work of God in history and in recorded in the words of Scripture.

Blackfoot. Something else that I thought was significant to share with you

Our conscience is literally our habit patterns so as we put on the word

Romans12:2 and renew our minds, putting on the mind of Christ. Our habit

Patterns change from corrupt to profitable to God. As we walk and believe

We change and let God work and then see 2 Corinthians 3:18.

Paul. With God nothing is impossible is true and the context of Hebrews is

In reference to mpeople not God.

In reference to any temptation or provoking remember James 1:13 God can't be

Tempted neither tempts he any man. Satan or the devil or our adversary is

Constantly attacking God people to trip them up and accuse them before the

True God. The anger of the lord many times is shown old testament when

Israel giot into idol worship or a man of God disobeyed an order.
  • Henry - In Reply - 1 year ago
Tremelt14. The worship of Balaam or Baal or bel was basically devil

Or Satan worship I.E. blood sacrifice of child sacrifices or worship of

Immorral sex practices or bestiality or idol worship or sun worship

All which started as far back as Nimrods kingdom and Babylon.

The scientist say, that we are not living in real time? That if you look at yourself in the mirror, that person is already 1 billionth of second old, or past already gone!

This way of thinking, though provocative, will open the eyes of the believer ever wider to the words of God.

A fact given in the holy scriptures.

God, is who God says He is, who without beginning , without end, is Timeless!

I Am Alpha and Omega! Without beginning ,without end!

This scientist, has given you his understanding of time, how it works, while looking in a mirror!

The heavenly many may not grasp. The evolutionist, who judges according to what He see's!

The perfect knowledge of who we are and where we are going, learning and Having a perfect knowledge of time and space is what man has forever contemplated!

However, the man who is led by the spirit , will see if only a glimpse of the power of His glory. The power to sustain and protect those who belong to Him!

This is the hidden wisdom in the word. Every word in scripture is from God Himself! While man thinks himself wise to change it, it is in fact the road less traveled, that leads only to darkness!

Soon, those who think themselves wise will become fools! The patience of God as He waits for repentance!

Do you hear the words of Jesus?

They have eyes, but cannot see! They have ears, but they cannot hear!

The grace found is no longer a mystery unto those who know the truth! A truth that will set you free. now and in eternity!

    Repent and be Baptized

who is Balaam in the old testament?
  • Free - 1 year ago
Dear everyone. It has become a must to visit the web every day. And that's good. Today I read something that is really a recurring question in here. It is the will to and not be baptized. Where do you think it comes from?

    In

Acts 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree:

    40 Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly;

41 Not to all the people, but unto witnesses chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him after he rose from the dead.

42 And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead.

43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.

    Amen.

And it does not surprise me that Peter here speaks well of Jesus Christ. For all who heard received the Holy Spirit. Is it not so?

Stay strong in the word and never stop talking of Him He loves us all and i love in u all in Christ.

Be a vitness all the dayes.

    S. Spencer

    continued

..humanity needs instead to face up to their depravity and their standing before God as His enemies, dead in sin, and access the the Holy Spirit brings to us in the Gospel that empowers us to repent from sin and believe what the Gospel means and Who it points us to and to Whom we are reconciled. That is really the best pursuit of humanity because any knowledge of space or even subatomic discoveries will not mean a thing in eternity in hell. But saving knowledge of God in Jesus Christ is the greatest treasure and brings to us all that God desires for us to know about Him along with the physical universe and spiritual realm for all eternity for those who believe.

I am a person who has always been drawn to science (almost had it as my minor in college, one class short). But in all of my studies of science I have always viewed it through the lens of it revealing God's creation and the wonder of Him in His power and wisdom. He has made a beautiful world for us. I think it is enough to satisfy us for what it is worth. But nothing compares to the glory and majesty and splendor of God in Christ.

    Hello, Steven,

I grew up in the 60's and 70's with the big push to explore space. I remember the moon landing and am amazed by the pictures we receive from telescopes from crafts launched into outer space.

But with this as part of my life's experience, I just feel deep down that God gave us earth to live upon. It is where He reveals Himself and works with mankind, not outer space. I think of the billions of dollars spent on the space programs, and consider how much good we could have done on earth for those in need with these resources. I am sure that we may have some benefits from exploring space, but I don't know if what we have benefited outweighs the detriment. I guess I just don't think that God ever wanted us to bring anything from space to earth, nor for man to go into space.

I know that our inquisitiveness and intellect are good things bestowed on us from God. Yet, the fallenness of mankind has corrupted these abilities to an immense depth of depravity, as it says in Genesis 6:5-6 of unredeemed human nature: the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every intent of the thoughts of his hearts was only continually evil." ."

And in Genesis 11: 6 the LORD says that "Indeed the people are one and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do, now nothing that they propose will be withhold from them." (Meaning that whatever they can think of to do they can accomplish it.)

So, our exploration of space is really from an unredeemed standpoint. What are we trying to prove or discover, really? If man is really trying to prove the existence of God by space exploration, they won't discover that since man does not believe what God has already revealed about Himself in our history and Scripture. Are the scientists that are working on this exploration Christian believers influenced by Christian thought? If not, then their endeavors are evil, just like at Babel. I think that instead of trying to satisfy a curiosity of "what is out there"

    You said:

"You haven't broken fellowship or erored in your walk?"

My witness was: No one is rebuking me...

Every true Christian believes we will be judged according to the word Jesus has spoken in his Father's name:

    Surely, the Master has said:

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 12:48

    Like God told Cain:

If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?

and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door.

And unto thee shall be his desire,

and thou shalt rule over him.

    Genesis 4:7

Because for hundreds of years atheists made the false claim that because of so much time passing they assumed the Bible was was "changed" and no longer accurate. But when the dead sea scrolls were discovered in recent times and realized they were thousands of years old they then compared to the current Bible and discovered it was the SAME text. It had NOT changed has many falsely assumed in order to attack the Bible's credibility. You can see it with your own eyes today at the museum in Jerusalem. Can you see how this would be a big deal?

People will continue to attack the Bible with the same debunked claim today but the discovery of the dead sea scrolls kills that argument.

    You said,

You made a statement I can't buy that is that the bible Gods Word

    Contradicts itself impossible.

I don't say the Bible contradicts itself to say the Bible is false.

I'm saying the Bible contradicts itself because it was compiled by man and translated by man; therefore, there are flaws.

Please provide your insight on the following not being a contradiction,

For with God nothing shall be impossible. ( Luke 1:37)

For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. ( Hebrews 6:4-6)

And please tell me who provoked David, God or Satan?

And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah. ( 2 Samuel 24:1)

And Satan stood up against Israel, and provoked David to number Israel. ( 1 Chronicles 21:1)

I have answered your questions but you have not answered mine.

I don't want to cause contention I like the discussion for truth.

Jesus told the guy: Go, and sin no more; lest a worse thing come upon you.

What, pray tell, could be worse than spiritual death?

    Destruction?

    Being cast into outer darkness?

Having one's body and soul cast into hell?

    Not sinning is easy.

Jesus says ask and ye shall receive.

Jesus teaches us to ask for God's will to be done in earth as it is in heaven.

God's will is for us to NOT sin.

    May his will be done.

    Ask

    Seek

Dear Anthony, I will pray for you today.

LORD GOD, in the name of Jesus we pray today for Anthony. We ask that You bring healing and restoration to his spirit, soul, mind, and emotions due to what he witnessed recently. We ask that You will take away all of his fear and anxiety over this experience and replace these with a calmness of spirit and peace of mind. We ask that You will not allow this experience to rule in Anthony's life, but instead that the peace if God rule in him ( 1 Corinthians 15:4) 24/7. LORD GOD, we ask that You will keep Anthony's focus on You and Your holy Word, reading and believing Your promises and trusting in Who You are above all else.

We ask all of this of You today, LORD, because Anthony needs these things right now and we know we can come to You for help and supply of all we need. Amen.

Evelyn. When I read the context of Mathew ,24 it lines up with parts of the

Appearing or revelation or Apacolypse, it isn't talking about when Christ returns

For the church because he never touched earth we meet Him in the air?. In the

Book of revelation or judgement day that is when you read of great tribulation

Not like anything since the world began. I believe the events ofverses 40 + 41

Are during the revealing or revelation.

    Hi Denise,

    S. Spencer has given you a very good explanation of what the Bible is referring to when the word alien is used, being someone that is not an Israelite, from a foreign nation or tribe.

But if you are asking if there are aliens from other places in space, that is a big question that I do not think can be truly answered in the affirmative or negative, as the Bible does not speak about other physical beings from other planets. The Bible does speak of angels, devils, demons, powers, principalities, and authorities in the spiritual realm. We are warned in Scripture to not try to gain contact with such spiritual beings, as it is considered witchcraft or sorcery.

Science as of yet has not proven whether physical beings from other planets exist or not. There have been many reports of sightings of crafts and interactions with non-human beings from space, but these most likely are demonic in nature. That said, I guess we will have to wait and see of this matter. I read some good articles on Herescope site. Google "Alien Encounters" and click on the site (I believer) "discerning the truth" or something similar. it will have articles that are from Herescope on UFO's, aliens, and such that are from a solid Christian perspective. But, stay away from any site that is really into aliens, UFO's, abductions, and government cover-ups. Most of the people who post on such sites espouse New Age, occultic, humanistic, and heretical "Christian" ideas. I say, tread with caution on this topic, prayerfully, and with discerning from the Holy Spirit.

In the end, I say, what if God did create other physical intelligent beings in other places in the universe. That is really His business, not ours. God revealed Himself on earth to us, with the gospel being for humans. Jesus came as a human to save humans, not aliens from outer space. In order for His sacrifice to be sufficient and efficacious for mankind, He needed to have full human DNA, human blood, and human nature, truly.
