    Lori:

Do you understand what it means to produce after their own kind?

God said let us make man in our image.

God is Spirit, if we are (Re)created in his image, we also become Spirit (God, in a glorified body, just like Christ)

Psalms 82:6 For I have said, Ye are gods, the children of the most high.

John 3:6 ... that which is born of Spirit (God) is Spirit (God).

John 17:21 That they all may be one, as thou Father, art in me, and I IN THEM ....

Colossians 1:27 ...this mystery ....Christ IN YOU .....

Romans 8:29 ....predestinate to be conformed to the IMAGE of his Son ....

Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be IN YOU, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God that worketh IN YOU both TO WILL and TO DO his good pleasure.

You must be born again: do you understand what awaits us when we leave this body of flesh.

1 Timothy 6:16 Who (Christ) only hath immortality, dwelling in the light ....

1 Corinthians 15:53 ...this mortal shall PUT ON immortality (Christ only hath immortality, we put on Christ).

    God bless you.

When you are wondering about something in The Bible, you go to where the word or phrase has been first mentioned to find the meaning. In their own kind is correlating with yielding something mostly. God created in order, cattle made before man? Plants before cattle? Stars before the plants?

He is guiding us to the understanding of His order of creation that yields growth.

That is what He is doing, forming a Kingdom so it can grow and produce their own kind accordingly. Plants, Cattle, Man and more that we haven't mentioned.

I love relaxing in Genesis chapters 1-3. What a miraculous beginning of not only His Kingdom but also the journey that all of man will have to take!

    Luke 3, Genesis 5,

Interesting years don't seem as significant to GOD as they are to man. Isaiah 55:8-11

Events, seem to be the significant time table to GOD, Genesis 15:13-16, Revelation 6:9-11, 2Peter 3:8-11, Romans 16:25, Revelation 10:7,

It almost seems like you're asking because of a Biblical study question

    Hellow Anthony.

Let me clear up something dear brother. When we say God's wrath we don't always specifically mean the Day of Judgement, or the day of punishment of people that accepted the mark of the beast like during the fight of Armagedon or after.

The great tribulation during the time of antichrist will be caused by God's wrath (call it anger, judgement or anything else if you like) to the sinful world. Famine, physical catastrophies like the eartquakes, like the water becoming blood, like that star that fell off the sky, like the sun and moon stopped giving their light etc are caused by angels pouring God's anger on earth to the sinful people. The horses, the wars, the seals opened by angels, the trumpets, the woes, the hail, the fire mixed with blood, the third of all living creatures including people dying etc etc are all done by God through His angels. Rev 7:2 "And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,", Rev 9:15 "And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men."

As I said before I cannot think that God will be doing all that while His church is still on earth so we, His children, will suffer famine, wars, catastrophies, death together with the sinful world. All of which (and this is very important) are due to His anger for the sinning world which He will surrender to satan and his man, the antichrist. It doesn't sound logical to me. What for? The saints suffer together with sinners? Die together with sinners? That is not what happened to Noah and Lot. They first left and then God punished the sinners. They didn't suffer, they escaped all that. Protection during the great tribulation is only offered to the Jewish people that are going to believe to Jesus. These are the ones that are sealed in their foreheads, Rev 7:3, Rev 9:4

    Hello Giannis

If you read Revelation you will see that john received two separate revelations. One which was specifically dealing with the seven churches and what would be their fate in the near future.

The second revelation begins in Rev 4:1 and is not specific to the seven churches who are addressed in chapters 2and 3.

We cannot build sound doctrine on assumptions or conjecture so we must not add to what has been said in revelation bearing in mind the warnings for those who add or take away from what has been written in Revelation.

If you read Rev 6:12, onwards, you will see events that correlate with Christ's description of his second coming as recorded in mat 24. which Christ says will happens after the great tribulation. And if you read on down to Rev 6:17 you will see the day of wrath is mentioned. So, the day of wrath happens when Christ returns after the great tribulation. The great tribulation is not the day of wrath.

You will notice the angels recued Lot on the very same day that God poured out his wrath on the unbelievers. There was no delay. And so it will be when Christ returns after the great tribulation. He will send his angels at the sound of the trumpet to gather his elect before pouring out his wrath on the unbelievers. This is the rapture and it happens on the day of wrath.

I always have to remind myself of the truth of Scripture when I meditate and ponder the passages I am reading and praying for wisdom from the LORD. I always must remember 2 Timothy 3: 16, 17 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God..."

The Scriptures teaches us that JESUS never sinned in HIS heart or in action. Every thing HE did glorified the FATHER'S name. As far as 12 yr old JESUS addressing Mary, and 30 yr old Jesus addressing her as "woman" it was acceptable and not considered as a sin nor disrespectful.

In my culture, presently all the children address their parents as mom/dad or the equivalent. Prior to the 1970's, we called our parents by their first names. This was not considered as disrespectful or ill-mannered, it was part of our culture and social norm. We should never try to press the narrative to fit our own thinking or our life style.

The bottom line is when scripture indicates a truth, then it is the truth for all times.

The LORD shine HIS face upon us all. Keep praying for our nation's leadership and the coming mid term elections. 1 Timothy 2:1-3

Praying also for our first responders and the lost.

As with anything else; Hebrews 9:27 makes a plausible argument; but it isn't worth quibbling about. The nature of the unique ministry is quite remarkable; as there will clearly and at long last be an undeniable "signs and wonders" ministry that will dwarf anything seen before. This will; of course involve a prophetic contest between the truth and a lie; with fire coming down; a mark or seal; and a Resurrection being mimicked by the Beast immediately after these witnesses have completed their misistry (although their ascension can be replicated).

I tend to emphasize the same concept as Christ preaching to the spirits of disobedience in hades. This is; along with likely the 144,000 primarily if not exclusively a DECLARATORY message of judgment rather than the Gospel as it stands today; since by the sixth seal ALL of mankind will know about God and Christ as well as the beginning of judgment. I would say this probably can be defined as the completion of the "Gospel of the Kingdom" ( Mark 1:14-15). The Gospel was said not to be given to all the cities of Israel before Messiah returns ( Matthew 24:14). There are certain verses about preaching to kings and having the Holy Spirit give the words which seem to be dual prophecies for the Apostles as well as the end time saints; as much of the generation that is described that will not pass until all these things come to pass seems to be describing later on in verse 34 of the same chapter.

It does seem that there is a lag time between the Rapture and the appearance of the 2 witnesses. Since certain judgments on the earth are held back before the 144,000 and likely the 2 witnesses coinciding with that time frame; it would seem that time is needed (they say 6 months or so) for the Temple to be constructed and for most of the seal judgments to transpire first.

That in my mind would also all ow the so called " Psalm 83" war to take out Israel's surrounding nations and their threats to come first before Ezekiel 38.

Such is wisdom in the state of affairs particularly related to international affairs but as well for the godly individual that is rarely heeded to today. Man wants to trust in governments; their own resourcefulness; riches; or even family members to support them rather than God. In the same token the wisdom about things as worldly possessions causes many to bring about their own early demise financially because of foolish spending and putting themselves in the bondage of debt. Many try to bypass the admonition that if "you don't work you don't eat."

  • Richard H Priday on Psalms 7 - 1 year ago
This Psalm goes through an early life experience of David; commentators state that the man mentioned verse 1 is one of Saul's "henchmen."

The Psalm asks for God's judgment in verse 6; hence is "impreccatory" in some ssense. It is more of a declaration of David's innocence and proclamation that if he has done anything amiss that he wished his enemies to overtake him (verses 3-5). Those sentiments made David a "man after God's own heart" ( 1 Samuel 13:14) at first; until the infamous Bathsheeba incident.

We should learn well from David's life as his own wishes for enemies to overtake him if he was at fault was part of the judgment after condemning Uriah an innocent man to death to get the woman he wanted.

Verses 11 through 16 show the general state of the wicked who are ensnared by their own sins (verse 15) as well as being judged by God (v. 13); the most extreme example of course being at Armageddon.

The last verse is praise according to God's attribute of righteousness. David was quick not only to repent with a "contrite and broken spirit" ( Psalm 51); but also praised God and even danced for him ( 2 Samuel 6:14-15). This sort of abandon seems unique among rulers in Israel and really cannot happen in a genuine manner without a heart that is of pure motive and open to the Lord's presence. That is a lesson we should take heed to as well.

Mark 12:14 - 17 And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?

And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

    Pharisees and scribes asked Jesus

Mark 7:5- 9 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked him, Why walk not thy disciples according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashen hands?

6 He answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me.

7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

8 For laying aside the commandment of God, ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do.

9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition.

Any Philosophy that adds to or changes the word of God, the tradition/Doctrine of Jesus Christ is tradition/doctrine of Men, Easter is another example.

    Part 1

    Hellow Antony.

Although I don't agree with you about the church going through the great tribulation (but this is another topic), I agree with you about those 7 churches in Revelation

Notice. In verse 1:7 says "Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia...".

Now Jesus says to John to write His words and send them to those 7 churces. If the churches are symbolic for the history of the church through the ages and not litteral, just imagine say the pastor of Sardis who maybe was doing well in his ministry to receive a message from Jesus telling him that he is dead. He will definately die of heart attack. The pastor of Ephessus? If he had not fallen from his first love to read Jesus telling hin that? Imagine if Philadelphia was not doing well and Jesus congratulated them? How about Antipas the martyr, was he symbolic for something? It is obvious that those churches were litterally existing at that time and Jesus adressed some issues there, He knows they have to be corrected.

But the problem ia always initiating from what Jesus said to Philadelphians."Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth."

But what is it meant by "the world" and "the earth"?

Colossians 1:6 "Which is come unto you, as it is in ALL THE WORLD; and bringeth forth fruit, as it doth also in you, ...:" also verse 23 "If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and WHICH WAS PREACHED TO EVERY CREATURE WHICH IS UNDER HEAVEN; whereof I Paul am made a minister;" Romans 9:17-18 "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went INTO ALL THE EARTH, and their words unto ENDS OF THE WORLD
  • Giannis - In Reply on Revelation 3:2 - 1 year ago
    Part 2

    Anthony

So what is meant in those verses when saying the whole world, about every creature under heaven, ends of the world, into all earth,...?

When Paul (and the ancient people) talks about the whole world he primarily means the Roman world, the Roman empire, the west civilized world. Everybody and everything outside that region was not worth to be mentioned of (plus the fact that they had a limited knowledge of the actual size of the earth and the existing nations).

Now what is it that God protected that church from in reality? Maybe a general persecution in the empire, some major catastrophies, some big wars with enemies to Romans? One has to read the history of the late 1st and early 2nd centuary AD to find out.

But to be honest I am wondering, why Jesus included those warnings to those churches in a book written about the end times? Surely He could do it in another way. Is it possible that the actual litteral churches were also a symbol for the church history. Facts do seem to coincide with the actual church history(?). And we also know that in Bible often real events are also a symbol for something else that happened later in the future.

Now about the great tribulation. Christians have so far gone through persecutions and tribulations many many times. Also through harsh times due to wars, famine, physical catastrophies like the rest of the world. But the great tribulation is something else. It is not just a tribulation. It is a tribulation due to God's wrath. It will be caused this time by God, not people. And I cannot think God sends His wrath on earth while His people are still there, to suffer His wrath together with sinners. This is what the scripture says about Noah and Lot. First God took away His people and then sent His wrath to those places. Plus the fact that we now live under Grace. Grace and Wrath do not fit together. First His Grace has to be removed with the rapture of the saints and then His Wrath will be sent to the sinful world.

    Dear Olivia

Firstly you have to have to find out what is it you fear for?

Is it that you feel quilty about things you have done but repented and asked to be forgiven? Then you'd better forget them since God Himself has forgotten them. Sometimes we have a guilty concience (without any reason) that does not allow us to enjoy our relationship with God.

Is it that you don't feel you walk in front of God perfectly? Nobody does. We all have our struggles in our christian life, our ups and downs, but we still keep going, this is the most important thing to do. Keep going nomatter what you have done and how you feel, things will eventually become better. God is on our side to help us, not to condemn us. He wants to get His children to the end, to Heaven.

Is it that circumstances in life make you frightened about the present and future? You have to trust and rest in God's Word. Faith in God is increased by reading and listening to God's Word. Be in company with fellow christians to get support, christians should not be loners in no case.

Maybe you can not locate where your fear comes from? Ask God to reveale it to you and how to get rid of it.

I think it is you that can help youself, with God's grace and strength.. Have a Blessed day.

    PSALM 27:1-7

Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb

    .

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and He shall bring it to pass.

He shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him:

    VERSES 16-26

A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

For such as be blessed of Him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of Him shall be cut off.

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in His way.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread

he is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

Believe and rest in His Words and they will be fulfilled in your life.

    Have a Blessed Weekend

If a person believes Jesus was commanded by his Father to establish the following doctrine, then they must obey the command:

    "...if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;

Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift."

    Matthew 5:23-24 KJV

If a person does not want to obey the preceeding command, they must present a compelling argument against it.

"For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist."

There are some who think that David was afflicted with some type of venereal disease due to his many relations; and the descriptions of his sufferings in such passages. Others say it could be a bone affliction of old age such as osteoporosis. When he was dying he had care for what some would say are hypothermia. We see similar language of David's ailments in Psalm 32.

Apparently; as verses 8 and 10 indicate; God used his enemies to humble him; which were promised due to him in 2 Samuel 12:9 and following after his downfall with Bathsheeba and causing Uriah to die. These would taunt him for the rest of his days; and also would delay the Temple of the Lord to be built because David's transgressions and whatever was meant by his being a "man of war" ( 1 Chron. 28:3). That could be a veiled reference to causing death to Uriah in war; as well as battles that resulted from enemies that came after him due to his own sin.

God did chasten David as he states in verse 1. David surely was a saint of God; as we see from Hebrews 11:32. His broken and contrite spirit as seen in Psalm 51 allowed him to repent as he did many times; admitting his sin. Hopefully; since all scripture is for instruction ( 2 Timothy 3:16-17) we will avoid certain costly sins in our lives as things are written for examples to us in how to live.
