  • Verse 9~We want to be so careful to avoid stumbling others that even our right to choose, if it would stumble someone, we wouldn’t exercise that right.
  • A disciple on Genesis 2
"But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die." God named it thus because that's what it was. What happened when they ate from it? "Their eyes were opened and they knew that they were naked." So God asked, "Who told you that you are naked? Have you eaten of the tree that I commanded you not to eat?" THINK

  • BSP on Hebrews 6
Verse 5~Paul used the word taste and taste is something very personal. Someone can’t taste something for us. We must personalize the ransom for ourselves. We have the ransom because bad things were happening to us as the offspring of Adam and Eve. Jehovah sees the bad things that happen to good people and he has given what is needed to correct it.
  • BSP on Mark 10

  • BSP on Judges 6
Verse 14~Jehovah God saw the potential that Gideon had. He told him to go with the strength you have. He knew he couldn’t do it in his own strength but he needed him to just get going and Jehovah would make up for the rest.
  • BSP on Ephesians 4
Verses 15,16~Jehovah God organizes his people from the head (from Christ) and they are joined together like the fingers are joined to the palm and then the palm to the wrist. As individual members we must give what is needed on our part and do what is required.
  • Verses 14-18~In Jehovah God's organization each of the members have a different ministry. There should be no division in the body, it cooperates as each member performs his or her part.
  • BSP on Micah 7
Verse 7~Micah was determined to be like an active sentry on a watchtower. He was determined not to become impatient and frustrated with things he could not change. Verse 2-5 shows the conditions that Micah was living under. Micah served faithfully for some 60 years.
  • BSP on Psalms 91
Verses 1,2~The secret place is where no one or no thing can rob us of our love for Jehovah God. It’s secret because unbelievers can’t understand it. The key of getting into the secret place is humility and trust in Jehovah.
  • BSP on Acts 21
Verses 23,24~Paul was here willing to go a long way so as not to stumble the Jews. We want to do all we can not to become a cause for stumbling others.
  • Anne on 2 Peter 3
Peter is amonishing the saints not to forget the teachings of the apostles and the predictions of the prophets that false prophets and scoffers will come in the last days with false doctrines and that they should not be carried away with their error but continue to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

  • Kurt Chappell on Matthew 1
With visiting angels to Mary then Joseph, a series of miracles began in their home. No one else knew until Jesus’s ministry began. These parents knew, and let Jesus’s siblings know. Imagine 2000 years ago, there were no science fiction novels,so truth prevailed and James, brother to Jesus, probably grew up to become an apostle. They witnessed the crucifixtion, with no human rights activists!

I want to exult the Lord Jesus. I was praying with my whole heart this week and I asked the Lord what to do about my calling. I have been called to start a nursing home that will change the way we care for our elderly. I am a nurse and I see the terrible condition patients come into the hospital because they are not cared for right. So God gave me specifically 2-4. I have written my vision out.
  • MNYAWI on Genesis 7

  • Kathy Turner on Proverbs 15
  • A disciple on Psalms 15
Bill; all the Scriptures you quote are wonderful; but why don't you believe they have any power to make you a new man? Why do you attack me for writing the truth about the work of grace? If you haven't yet repented of all your sins, and still afraid of being REALLY AND THOROUGHLY CONVERTED; that would explain your hostility to showing proof of your love to Jesus, by actual day to day OBEDIENCE!

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:Not of works, lest any man should boast.Ephesians 2:8

  • David Johnson on Ruth 4
This story which is so beautiful is a type of Jesus and his mainly gentile bride which he also redeemed with his precious blood. Like Ruth we also deserved not Gods favor but were saved by grace through faith that not of yourselves it is the gift of God not of works least any man should boast. thank God....
  • A disciple on 1 Peter 1
"As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, BE YE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY." Note carefully, that NOTHING is said about our natural condition or how uncapable we are; like His command to be perfect as our heavenly Father is perfect.
  • Les on Romans 1
