Roman, I agree that we are to preach the law to the unrepentant. They need to know that they have transgressed it and deserve the curse of the law. They need to know that Jesus warned people that unless they believe in Him they will perish eternally in hell. But also, we are to preach in love, with a plea for them to turn from unbelief to faith in Jesus, who alone can save them. some will be pricked to the heart and repent. Others will angrily and hostilely retaliate or mock or scoff at the preaching. We should expect that. And if it is considered hate speech, then so be it. The apostles and disciples who preached to the unsaved faced all kind of persecution and torture. We should brace ourselves to receive similar reprisal. But, as Paul was willing to receive these hellish treatments in the hope that some would believe the Gospel he pleadingly and lovingly preached.

I don't get out much anymore since covid. But I have family members and others I know who still will not repent. I pray for them and willingly speak the truth to them when the opportunity comes forward. I have finally been approved for disability after a two-year process. So, I am limited but hope I can get out more in the future as the Holy Spirit leads me and allows.

I do want to practice what I advise others to do. Believe me. I do think the time is coming where believers will be called to speak up at a high cost. May the Lord prepare us to do so and be willing to bear the cost honorably.
  • Dgjot - In Reply on Ezekiel 3 - 1 year ago
The average unrepentant sinner isn't interested in the love of Jesus. In their mind, Jesus is some sort of bearded, sandal wearing hippie who goes around preaching love, love, love, who will make sure they get into Heaven no matter what they do. So I switched gears and now talk about hell and damnation. I warn people that if they don't repent and seek God while He may be found, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, they're doomed. Those are the cold hard facts. This is now considered Hate Speech. When I got saved, it wasn't because of the love of Jesus. It was because I was afraid of going to hell. It was years before I understood how much God loves us and how much Jesus loves us. He proved it by going to the cross voluntarily. Then God raised Him from the dead, He ascended into Heaven in front of witnesses and sent His Holy Spirit to the earth to dwell among us. God and Jesus have done everything they can do to keep us from ending up in hell. But people don't listen.

When Jesus walked the earth, WHO was He preaching to??? The Jews. Everything He talked about was directed to the Jews.

How many times did God punish the Jews for their wickedness? How many times were they taken into captivity???

Jesus kept trying to steer them back to The Father, but many would rather live by their own man-made laws. The scribes and pharisees were so sure they were in the right, they made sure that Jesus was taken out.

Jesus taught as one having authority, not like the arrogant, attention-grabbing Scribes and Pharisees. He sent his Apostles to preach the Gospel, giving them authority to heal the sick and cast out demons in His name. Many believed but, even after seeing the miracles, just as many didn't. It's useless to preach to people who don't want to hear it. Remember what Jesus said, "When I return, will I find faith on the earth???"

Amen to you . I have learned that i cannot change anyone but I can always help to the best of my ability and this is what is expected of me as a Christian . Im not responsible for the sins of others but I am responsible for my own and to me , it is a sin to knowingly and deliberately disobey Christ's commandment to show love to every human I come on contact with . If anyone thanks me for a kindness I always say something like : I'm a Christian it's what we do , or , thank God because He made me show you His love for you . All non Christians and sinners we come into contact with are part of God's creation and He loves everyone . They are potential Christians and we must treat them as such . We were all in this life without hope at one point , until we learned the Truth . It's not up to us to judge people , we don't know their hearts , God knows the begining and ending of every individual , He knows who is and isn't His but He knows who isn't His now but will be in the future . We know nothing . If we obey God , that's the best thing we can do in every circumstance , it's our basic duty as Christians .

    Hi Giannis,

All of your arguments/points of view I've shared myself, so these are not new considerations.

I can tell you haven't watched the interview either. Anyone who doesn't watch it will likely make many false assumptions about it.

For example I didn't say the interviewer met aliens. It's in regards to a craft that was discovered. I don't know if you've ever had unexplained phenomenon occur ever in your life. The creation is amazing and no one person fully comprehends the details and complexity of what God has created. The Bible does not say anywhere that life wasn't created outside of earth. It doesn't say one way or the other. But it would be a logical fallacy to assume that by omission then it must not exist, because the Land of Nod, for example, was not explained in how it was created or where the people came from, but was just suddenly briefly mentioned. It's likely a book could be written about that in itself, but instead we have a tiny mention of it.

God is big enough to make whatever He wants in the expanse of the universe. I don't think its right to try to assume God has a limitation and "cant" make others for this or that human reasoning. Your point #3 sounds like speculation about what you think God can or cannot do, for example. It would be extremely weird if we found out there were other beings besides just those on earth, heaven, and hell, and the spiritual dimension. And how that reconciles with the Bible, but who are we to say that God can or can't make more beings besides us. The mention of another "Jesus" savior wasn't serious. If there were beings that were immoral and defied God then they too would need saving, however. God bless.

    Hi Richard,

Do you have any notes compiled about the period Israel breaks the covenant, regarding David's throne? I happens at the day of the Lord, Joel 2:1-11, and ends with Christ claiming the throne. The underlying issue is did God suspend a binding arrangement, or was it unconditional that David would never lack a man on his throne, 1 kings 9:5, Jeremiah 33:17. Does the man of sin have dominion over David's throne?

Didn't you mentioned this a few days ago? Could you do a breakdown of it? I found verses like Isaiah 24:15, Isaiah 13:11 compelling, any insight? Thanks.

Your personal experience of being by Jesus is a very powerful testimony of the power of God to change sinners. God has rewarded you for your faith in Him.

For this reason, sharing your faith in Jesus with others who are sinners like you in your old life, will help saved them. You know this is good and pleasing to God, and will glorify his name.

BUT NOW, you've decided not to do good to others, even to others that might insult you out of fear or anger. You're disobeying God, your pride of life has influenced your decision. Two commandments written with Jesus' blood in our hearts: 1. Love God with all your heart, with all your strength, with all your mind; 2. Love others as yourself/ourself.

I PRAY TO GOD, that you change your mind, in JESUS' name.

    Gigi,

I didn't intend to put that on the main thread, a thousand apologies. I've got you on my mind.

You need a sign. You will wonder when the US/Israel put a "scroll" over Tehran, Revelation 6:14. That's the sixth seal, moving the world closer to the day of the Lord, which dismayed the prophet to tears, Ezekiel 21:7. You won't be able to deny it now that I've made you aware.

TITHES & OFFERINGS ARE INTENDED TO HELP SPREAD THE GOSPEL OF GOD

Malachi 3:11 Context 8Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

    CHEERFUL GIVER

2 Corinthians 9:6 - 7 6But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

    BIBLICAL DEFINITION OF TERMS

TITHES = NOTE: God created and owned all things. You and I are servants or stewards of God. So God doesn't need our money, BUT wants what tithes represent: our hearts, trust and faith in Him. As our Father, He is teaching us to always put God first in our lives.

OFFERINGS = represent the best fruit of our labor offered to God as a return of thanks for God's favors, love, and blessings.

    Hi Richard,

I did not want this conversation to go into what it did with the poster "Anonymous" or "Roman" if they are the same person. I posted to you to speak to the generation Jesus is speaking about in Matthew 24. I would love to hear more of what you think. I am still learning when it comes to eschatology, so I find people's input valuable.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 1 year ago
Ok, Roman. Thank you for sharing your theory with me.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 1 year ago
Hmm, I am just not sure what you are trying to get at here except to somehow trip me up.

You may think I am wrong in my thinking. That is fine with me as this topic does not speak to my salvation in any way. The time of the end will come one way or another. I usually do not enter into conversations on this topic because it has such a diversity of thoughts and no definitive timeline in sequence anywhere in the Bible. Most people take Scriptures from various parts of the Biuble to fit together their theory. And that is what we are talking about here.

I appreciate hearing your views but I do not wish to argue on this topic. I would like to know your name, though, so I can address my post to you by name.

Leviticus Boy, I will pray for your friend.

Dear Heavenly Father, Help us to always honor Your name and that of Your Son, Jesus and that of the Holy Spirit. We all need to grow in reverence of You and in proclaiming Your name rightly. Today we bring before You this friend of Leviticus Boy and ask that you move in his life today to draw him to You for salvation. We pray that the Holy Spirit will bring to him the conviction of sin and his standing before You as a sinner. Cause him to seek You today for forgiveness, salvation, and a new life in You. We ask this of You, Father, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

  • Roman - 1 year ago
    Gigi,

I'm sorry, but you are mistaken. The resurrection tenants and time-line is specifically laid out in a particular order:

#1) The saints are resurrected first. They heal the earth alongside millions of mortals, great tribulation survivors, and at the end of the 1,000 years, God defeats the 3 evil spirits that make us behave cross towards one another. The saints are judged at the seventh trumpet, they are the first fruits of the 1st resurrection. You are implying at the 1st resurrection, Jesus is picking out souls for everlasting life, but it's the resurrected saints he's gathering prior to Revelation 14:1. 1 Thessalonians 4:17, Paul is referring to the saints only, not anyone else.

#2) The Great White throne Judgment, resurrection happens AFTER the 1,000 years, Revelation 20. This is the resurrection of the rest of humanity, the sinners, unbelievers, believers of false doctrine. This is my place, where I belong, you will find me amongst the sea of humble sinners, praying for redemption. Ezekiel 37:1-14, the valley of dry bones ALLEGORY of the 2nd resurrection where God had pity on the whole house of Israel and reestablished him at the last, Isaiah 14:1.

'Jesus has to prepare a place for us' is synonymous with Jesus creating a new heaven and new earth. The 1st resurrection saints will enter a totally destroyed world, Isaiah 24. The 2nd resurrection group will inherit paradise.

Hebrews 9:27 God set the parameters for entering the kingdom of heaven, part of it is to require a mortal death. Jesus Christ was the first example of being 'born again'. Jesus is the only man to live, die, having God resurrect him into everlasting life!

Please consider what I'm saying in accordance to the narrative of what Biblically occurs. I have 1 more intriguing post for you about the saints.

It has to do with when you stood for God , linked yourself with the Father or the Son Jesus Christ . I would read Ephesians 1 and learn what predestined and before the foundation of the world means . many were written in long ago .
  • Chris - In Reply on Nehemiah 1 - 1 year ago
Hello Brian. In Nehemiah 1:2, the prophet was specifically speaking to Hanani & those who came with him from Judah, about the Jews which escaped the captivity by the Babylonians. So the word 'Jew' is derived from the name 'Judah', or 'Yehudi', from which tribe the captives were taken.

Then in verse 6, we read of Nehemiah's passionate agonizing prayer to God for Israel. I understand that Nehemiah here was praying for all of God's people, both Judah & Israel who had sinned grievously before the LORD which resulted in their captivity; and to both these, he referred to as 'Israel' and was not specifically praying for Judah.
  • Giannis - In Reply on Exodus 20 - 1 year ago
    Hi J

Do you mean a christian Catholic or just somebody who has the name "christian" but doesn't practise a christian life? Is the other person saved or not? The problem is not marrying to a christian from any another church but marrying to somebody who is christian as a custom (because their parents were and baptized them when babies) but doesn't really believe in Jesus, their lives show no real faith, no change, no fruit. And Catholics are ususally like that (but not always).

Anyway a marriage between a believer and a non believer(I am putting a question mark on that) may be a big problem. How can two different lives, beliefs, practises be compromised together? A common life has to rely on some standards, some common rules etc. What are those going to be? Somewhere in between? Can the light be compromised with darkness, purity with sin, truth with lie? Such unions often lead to difficult situations. You will want to go to the church and she will want to go to a club, you will wish to hear christian music and she will want to watch some worldly sinful moovies, you will not say lies but she will do that. What will the rules that you will raise your kids with? You may believe that you will attract her to the real faith but often the opposite occurs. Sin is powerful and if you are not careful then you may find yourself in a big big trouble. Now if she is a believer but the Catholic way then things are better ...

The above are general things, it is you who knows the other person and know what to expect from her. Why don't you ask for God's advice, ask for His guidance. He knows better than our heart. Pray to God and if you are in a church consult your pastor, the elders etc. especially those who know that other person and can tell you a few things.

(I think that if you want to be married in a Catholic church then you must become a Catholic yourself and be baptized in water in the Catholic church, but I am not so sure about that)

Did you not notice that ,God's commandment in verse 9 of Leviticus chapter 8 , about priests not drinking wine before they enter the tabernacle , comes immediately after the incident with Nadab and Abihu ? Personally , I believe these things are written in the order that they are because that's what happened with Nadab and Abihu . I think that they had maybe had a drink of wine and got a very silly idea in their heads which they then executed and then they were executed .

    Hi Adam.

    1. In my life I have met people that are such good actors in their everyday life that one would bet their life on them. Can that person who saw aliens prove what he said or is it just words? Also often people say that have seen ghosts, do you believe them?

    2. Genesis 2:1-2 "Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them).

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made."

So God finished creating the heavens and earth and rested on the 7th day. So nothing more was created from there on at least. Even if we assume that God did actually create other people after us on other planets then those people should be "younger" than us, so how come they have already created such a supercivilization that made spaceships that travel millions and millions of light years and finally found earth when at the same time we here on earth have not travelled further away than the moon (man boarded missions)? Not logical is it? Maybe God made other people before us, before creating earth? Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning (of creation) God created the heaven and the earth." So earth was the first thing to be created together with the heavens. Genesis doesn't place anything in between heaven and earth, nothing was created before earth. So nothing was created before earth and after earth was created (together with people) God stopped and rested.

    3. You ask "did Jesus go there and die for them too?". So if there are say 1000 (or million) different earths in the universe then Jesus was sacrificed 1000 different times? Not a very good idea to be a God then, is it? It would be very painful (just trying to be funny). I don't think that even God could take that

    4. Maybe another Jesus, you ask. There is only one Father, one Jesus and one Spirit, there aren't many.

Well dear brother we will hear a lot of weird things these last days. Don't believe them. My opinion.

    Have a blessed day.

Amen! I love what you said last about how we should honor Jesus and not treat him casually. I have a friend who is an unbeliever, he will casually toss God's name around like it was his own. Since he doesn't believe in him he doesn't think anything of his name. But a change in him. I would really like it if everyone would just pray that the LORD works in his life.

May the LORD bless you and keep you all!
  • Jesse - In Reply on Revelation 20 - 1 year ago
    Evelyn,

In Revelation 3:5, John gives an exhortation to the church. He says, "He that overcomes, and that's a Present Participle.

To the one who (is) overcoming, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will (not) blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

We are given references to the Old Testament that tell us there's more than one book. ( Exodus 32:32-33, Daniel 12:1-2, 7-10, Psalm 69:28)

There's the book of life which has listed in it everybody that has received human life. And then there's the book of the Lamb, those who belong to Christ.

In the book of life, if a person rejects Christ, their name is removed from the book of life as if they've never been born. They're gone!

But no one is ever blotted out of the Lamb's book of life.

If you go back into the Old Testament and you study from those references, it will show you that there's more than one book. And the Jews knew that.

It's not that God has books up there. But it's just a human example or an illustration that God knows everything, all the people that have been born, and all the people that belong to Christ.

He say (I will not) blot out his name out of the book of life. And I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. Jesus said that He would do that.

So, our names are entered into the Lamb"s book of life the moment we receive Christ. He will never blot out a believers name from that book. That's how permanent our salvation is. He will never blot our names out of His book!

    Gigi,

FYI, you described resurrection, not rapture. And you conflated the 1st resurrection with elements of the 2nd resurrection. It is amazing how many people will accept falsities as Biblical fact, and give praise where praise is not due.
  • Leviticus Boy - In Reply - 1 year ago
Wow, GIGI, It is amazing how you understand the Bible so well. I really appreciate having someone like you on here; you make it all the more fun by helping people understand. You have encouraged me to read more of the Bible and dig deeper into understanding it. My church right now is walking through the book of Revelation. It is a very interesting book about the end times of this world. Personal I don't want to be on this world when it happens due to all the destruction and pain toward christens. But at the same time I do want to be a part of it, to witness what the Bible talks about, and perhaps even to see Jesus in His seconed coming. I thank God that I am a believer. Because if I wasn't, I would be cursed to Hell forever.
