  • Sylvia on 1 John 3
Romans 10:9,- That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. (Titus 3:5) Not by works of rightousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
  • A disciple on Hebrews 12
"Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:" Hebrews 12:14 The Lord Jesus laid out for us EXACTLY how to do this in the Sermon On The Mount, as well in ALL OF HIS TEACHINGS AND PARABLES. This is what the teaching of the Law and the Prophets is. This is the Life of Christ and Christians exposed and expounded in the Psalms, Proverbs and Sacred Writings. NOT just hearing and agreeing, but real life doing, and taking a prescribed course in life after the Spirit of Christ, shall we truly be those of whom this word is fulfilled.
  • A disciple on Matthew 13
As the earth brings forth fruit of herself, so is man to his reflection. We must not only prepare our hearts for the planting of the good seed, but must labor to maintain it until the harvest; for the enemy will always come behind us to sow his evil seeds and cause his weeds to come up everywhere; and neglect will ruin the ground. He that is of God will hear God's words and receive and do them.
  • Bill on Revelation 1
Who is the angel of Jesus Christ? ( Refering to Revelation verse 1).
  • Tim on Matthew 19
Disciple, good point when you wrote, "NOT IN ANY WAY to grant approval, but simply for Public Record.".
I'm going over to John 5 in a day or so and comment on the healing poll, I'd like to here your comments. I enjoyed our interaction.

  • A disciple on Matthew 22
"But they made light of it, and went their ways..." (cont.) AGAIN, this is what the LORD saw happening when He came down to see the city and tower that men were building; Genesis 11:1-9: the heathen revolt and conspiracy that is deeply ingrained in the natural man's psyche ever since; which thrusts away God and faith in His Anointed from them with indifference and contempt and violent hostility.
  • Bruce on Genesis 4
Bertski: Verse 3: eventually Cain brought an offering. 4: Able brought The Best, The First for an Offering. 7: The LORD told Cain if he done better he would be excepted.
  • Christ Magnified Glorifying Jesus on Exodus 23
End of day 23 in Bible in a Year Reading. I used to think that God placed a lot of rules/laws on the Hebrew people. Now I look at the laws and codes in just the area I live and realize that humans create far more laws that have little noble or educational purpose. Laws upon laws. God's law clearly defines sin as sin. No preference given. Equal treatment with love as the final objective.
  • Emelia on Psalms 46
God is all I need, God is all I want a and He deserve all glory honor and praise for all He have done for me . I read this psalm daily because it reminds me that God is always there for me.
  • Servant of God on Luke 15
Penitence-to return to God in whom we have mercy and forgiveness. In the world is an eagerness to pleasure oneself with treasure, position, power, sexual gratification. Every inhabitant on earth dances twist the two. The Father rejoiced when one that was lost returned to Him. Mercy and Grace in the company of God or strife and wanting in the world in which we abide.
  • Luigi on Mark 3
Jesus has a special calling for John the Revelator One of the two witnesses Rev. Ch.11 A prelude was not the time yet to breath fire.
  • Enoch on Genesis 4
Bertski...there is enough info to deduce why THE LORD honored abel's offering and not cain's...abel offered first fruits but cain did not...early lesson of proper sacrifice and foreshadowing GOD sacrificing his first born for us
  • A disciple
(continuing on the subject of divorce) It is especially clear in the Greek Textus Receptus translation, which says, "Moses with a view to the hardness of your hearts wrote you this precept; but from the beginning it was not thus;" which demonstrates God's willingness to NOT to condemn us for a deeply damaged moral condition; but at the same time cannot negate His Laws because of our evil nature.
  • A disciple on Matthew 19
The question that the Pharisees asked; whether it was lawful in every case to divorce; was a treacherous design to catch the Lord in something said, so they might accuse Him. People want to divorce just because they "can't get along;" and the allowance given by Moses was only with the stipulation that the matter be documented legally; NOT IN ANY WAY to grant approval, but simply for Public Record.
  • Tim Kirkpatrick on Numbers 1
God is awesom, and Thank you
  • Antonio Thompson on Psalms 91
Psalms 91 powerful powerful powerful round untouchable Psalm 91
  • A disciple
There's so much muddying of the waters by men trampling all over the simplicity in Christ! They say that no one can keep the Commandments; but God said, Thou shalt keep all that I have spoken unto you to do them, that it may be well with you. They say we can't call ourselves good and just; but it is by our goodness in Christ that the Spirit convicts men unto salvation! Let us be wise to do good!
  • A disciple on Luke 14
If we only go by what is the language of the Scriptures of truth, and forget for a few minutes all the things many teachers and pastors have SAID was the meaning; then we see that its not unlawful to actually be just, and therefore to claim that one is just. God gave us a whole Bible so that we would be just and true, toward Himself and toward each other. How else can we learn to discern judgment?
  • A disciple on Genesis 4
Bertski; Cain and Abel were THE first sons of the actual first parents, Adam and Eve; and we have to expect, that inasmuch as succeeding generations still had some knowledge about what transacted between God and the man and his wife, and the devil being condemned by the coming of Christ; then it follows that the first sons would also have had the knowledge most perfectly. Cain rejected the Truth!
  • A disciple on Ephesians 4
"Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbor: for we are members one of another...Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying that it may minister grace unto the hearers." The first tendency of a guilty conscience is to run and hide and then right on its heels to lie about it. We come to the light TO BE MANIFESTED!
  • Israel on Genesis 3
What a tragedy the fall of man, man lost his inheritance and dominion to the devil; man died spiritually as God said the day that you eat of that fruit you will surely die. The good news is that Christ has reconciled us back to God and has committed to us the ministry of reconciliation, glory be to God forever and ever Amen!
  • Lindy on 2 Chronicles 20
Today, as in every age, we are surrounded by the ungodly near and far. In Col. 3: 2, we are exhorted to mind the things that are above, not the things that are on earth. Also, Proverbs 16:18 encourages us with knowing that pride goeth before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall. Keep our eyes focused on God, praying with thanksgiving to Him, knowing that He overcomes all evil.
  • A disciple on Psalms 89
Steve; Yes! When we read any of the Lord's parables, for example, He was using familiar things to bring out a spiritual and moral point; which were the same points as were in the Law and the Prophets' Writings..."By Inspiration of God!" Of course Jesus quotes Scriptures, as do all His servants speaking in His Name; but that wasn't what I said! I was talking about expounding the sense and meaning.
  • A disciple on Mark 3
Bless; I suppose that it was because of their Thunder-like personalities. But apparently that was how God made them, like how He makes all of us a certain special kind after His own likes! The parts where we have to be sanctified many times come in conflict with our "nature" but a sincere heart of love and obedience will get the victory, and by His grace become ALL of what God intended us to be.
  • A disciple on Exodus 18
Charlene; That's a very good observation! I think what it also means, is that we are supposed to settle things between ourselves as much as we can, and learn how to love and judge righteously; so we don't have to bring every matter to the "highest Court in the land!" We learn how to work things out RATHER THAN immediately taking a brother or sister to God for judgment, and grow in God's character.
  • A disciple on Matthew 22
"But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: and the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them." Why did the Lord so often speak of such negative things and the way men are? Why did He not talk about happiness and joyful singing like so many modern Churches do? Because we are in a world that threatens to destroy us!!!
  • Tim on Matthew 19
fornication was the uncleanness in the law Moses gave. and it was given for the hardness of heart. and when Jesus was speaking he was speaking to the Pharisees, and said it was given for the hardness of your heart. Jesus is the true law giver and like Moses when Jesus spoke fornication for remarriage is still for the hard hearted. Jesus didn't change the law. he told us what the uncleanness was.
  • I AM on Proverbs 15
Tell ye, what is the Name of Jesus Christ? For his Name shall be called Jesus as he is the Deliverer, sent by God. And he is certainly the Christ, the Son of the living God. Yet, what is the Name of the only begotten Son of God? For how can a man call on the Name of The LORD if he does not know his Name? Or how can a man be saved if he will not confess the NAME of The LORD JESUS CHRIST?
  • Kingdom Preparation Christ Glorified on Exodus 20
End of day 22 in the daily Bible reading program. If you are "daily reading" it is ok to miss a day and then "catch up". I have done this several times. I listen to the audio as I read along. It is fascinating to me that since creation "human" self interests are at the heart when lacking in faith and subsequent obedience to God. God is always patient and loving despite our selfish tendencies.
  • Dickson on Psalms 91
Very powerful prayer for all at all times
