James, Satan likes to catch us when we are weak. That is when we are most vulnerable. He will tell us God does not love us nor does he hear our prayers. He will say give up. But don't give up. Be as the woman who would not give up until the unjust judge avenged her of her adversary Luke 18:6. God is just waiting for us to repent.

Father God we pray that you would open up the windows of Heaven and pour out so much love, peace and joy that it overflows James heart and he cannot contain it all. Give him confidence that you are with him always. Amen

    Also ...

    Matthew 16:15-19

    15
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys...

No man (flesh and blood) revealed it, so what did Peter do, seeing he had the keys, when asked?

    Acts 2:37-40

    37
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Well, he gave them the truth, as revealed to him.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Peter also thought all who can be baptised should, and told them the correct name to use, not just titles, the name.

    2 Timothy 3:16

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

All scripture, so we cannot discard a single thing, we must fit within ALL scripture, not make the scripture fit our way of thinking, that is why we have hundreds of denominations.

Peter was ignorant and unlearned by the way.

    Acts 4:13

    13
Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.

So I take knowledge of them also, the Lord cannot be the Author of confusion.

Do not let your faith in your Heavenly Father waver. His loving concern for you is undeniable. My dad had an xray of his lungs with a spot in it. The entire surgical board along with it's nationally recognized head all agreed it was cancer and needed surgery. When he had additional tests done in preparation for the surgery the spot was gone. Even the head of the dept. said it was a miracle. God specializes in healing his children. Keep the faith.

It is, without a doubt, God's Will for you to be healed. Which way He will heal you is yet to be determined. Your part is to trust His leading and keep the faith; His part is to keep His Word and heal you(Matthew 8:7). He is well able to do it and He will.
  • Chris - in Reply on John 5:4
Jeff, I perfectly understand your need to spend time with the family & therefore no immediate comment is expected.

Just to offer a quick response to your comment: I fully agree that all of Scripture, including the Gospels & Jesus' instructions, must be considered, when dealing with any issue. However, I always keep one thing in mind when I refer to Scripture pre-Cross/Pentecost: whoever Jesus was talking to or whatever teaching He was giving, was of course to let His hearers know the Father's Mind & Will, but we bear in mind, that the Holy Spirit had INDWELT none of His disciples. I know this point can be argued, but the Gift was UPON them, e.g. in their ministry of healing, casting out demons, etc., as a temporal measure, & as an extension of Christ's ministry on Earth & their position as disciples.

It was not until Pentecost, that they were endued "with Power from on High" to begin a true life as Christians & to labour even to sacrificing their lives (except in the case of John), for the Name of Jesus. So any reference to 'perseverance' pre-Pentecost, I consider as one's effort without the help & Power of the Holy Spirit within.

Now, at the references to it post-Pentecost, then 'perseverance' is still an 'effort' by the believer (Hebrews 6:4-6), but now we not only have the Spirit's convicting & help in 'setting our hearts right' immediately, but also a reminder to the believers tending to slacken off, that they need to get back to correct thinking & personal discipline. They would not lose their salvation, but they stood to become spiritually destitute & deserving of God's dealing with them (Hebrews 12:3-11) as a result. I think that where the problem appears between us, is the fact of God's eternal Seal upon us & the subsequent Spirit's indwelling which removes the possibility of a soul being lost forever. Yes, our choice to remain true or depart is still there, but the Spirit simply can't permit that to occur & His Work aligns with our spirit to persevere.

Revelation 20:4-5 explains the saints left behind, were not taken in the Rapture. They will be martyrs. Raptured saints will go to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

God has not appointed his Bride unto Wrath. The Dead in Christ rise first and we that are alive and remain (unmingled, unmixed, sacrificed) are caught up and meet him it the air at the, 'Last Trump'. We shall not all sleep. President 'Trump' is a major sign that the Trumpet is about to sound.
  • Jesse - in Reply on Luke 21
    Mishael,

I want to also share this with you. These are actual 7 steps of a Jewish wedding.

    1. First, the Jewish groom barters with the father of the bride. They get together and they go back-and-forth, and barter as to what the deal is going to be.

    2. Once they reach an agreement, the future bride is brought in. And if she approves of it, all three of them drink out of the covenant cup, which means from that time forward they are betrothed.

    3. The groom goes back to his father's house to build their living quarters. It is built right off of the family home. And once the wedding takes place, and they are now married, they will go back to his family's home, and there will be living quarters that will be for them.

    4. Catch this one: The father of the groom decides when the living quarters are done, and when he can go get his bride. What does that tell us? We don't know the time or the hour. It has to be a minimum of one year because it is a time of purity for her. The groom can go get his bride when his father decides it's time.

    5. When the marriage announcement is made, catch this: the people who have already been invited to the wedding feast, they take their positions along the parade route, because the groom is going to get his bride. And there are people stationed in position all the way along the route. They join the parade as it passes by. It is called a parade.

    6. When the groom reaches the bride's house, he stands at a distance and blows the shofar, the trumpet, for the bride to come out and meet him. And the wedding takes place at that time. Do you see anything in there about prophecy? The groom comes to get his bride, and he stands a ways off and blows the trumpet, and she comes out to meet him.

    7. The parade goes back to the groom's house and the wedding feast begins. All of the guests in the parade gather in the Fellowship Hall, and the door is shut. This is not an open public thing.

Compare this to prophecy in Matthew Chapter 25. So Powerful!

  • Jesse - in Reply on Luke 21
God keeps the time from us for a reason. We know He's coming, and we're to be ready. But if we knew the date, many would say "I've got plenty of time so I'll just "live it up" for a while. You and I, and all those who belong to Him, we are always watching, and we are always ready because His Spirit is in us, and His Spirit is ready.

I believe we're close. I read some accounts a few years back of how close it is. Did you know that the Jews right now are ready to perform sacrifices in the temple area? The temple hasn't been built yet, but they don't need it. Back in Nehemiah's day, all they did was lay the foundation before they started performing the sacrifices. According to God, that's official. You can build everything else later.

They have already anointed the four corners of the temple area. And it wasn't until the mid-1990's that there were carnivorous birds in the area of Israel. There were none whatsoever before then. The birds are going to come and eat the flesh of those who die in the battle of Armageddon. And that couldn't have happened before the mid-90's.

Also, there's a special die they use for the blue color in the priestly garment. I don't remember the name of it, but it comes from some type of sea creature that only comes ashore every 70 years. It came ashore in the late 90's. So they have the priestly garment's ready and they have already anointed the four corners. Plus they already have an altar set up.

Even though the antichrist might come in and say I am going to help you build your temple, he means the rest of it. He's going to help the Jews restart their sacrificing. And right in the middle of the tribulation period, he's going to step in and put his image in the holy of holies and say everybody must worship him.

Jesus told the Jews to flee when they see that happen because there's going to be great tribulation like the world has never seen. The church doesn't have to flee. The church will already be gone (Raptured) before then.

Lawrence Hempel - SUPER LATE RESPONSE

Well actually, there are 7 dispensations. One is correct to say there are divisions, but where one claims them to be is what can make or break the "...workman that needeth not to be ashamed..."

    Innocence

    Conscience

    Human Government

    Promise

    Law

    grace

    Future kingdom

Along side the dispensations there are the covenants which can help one to futher understand the dispensations. Dispensations and covenants overlap.

    Edenic

    Ademic

    Noahic

    Abrahamic

    Mosaic

    (some say Palestinian is separate)

    Davidic

    New Covenant

Jesus loved some of the Jews and others not so much as recorded here in harsh language.

Jesus speaking to the Pharisee Jews - Bible book of John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

45 And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not.

46 Which of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

    48 Then answered the Jews

    Then answered the Jews

    Then answered the Jews

pretty obvious who Jesus called of their father the DEVIL.

Obviously not all of them since some came to the Lord.

Bible old testament book of Amos 5:26 But ye [Jews] have borne the tabernacle of your Moloch (Satanic god child sacrifice by fire) and Chiun your images, the STAR STAR STAR of your god, which ye made to yourselves. (Jews carried what star?)

Acts 7:43 Yea, ye [Jews] took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the STAR STAR STAR of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon.

What STAR STAR STAR do the jews (even so called Messianic) carry? Moloch and Remphan

Moloch was the satanic god that demanded children be burned alive in fire.

Remphan has reference to the giants, think Goliath

Look at the Israeli flag do you see a star that they have carried for centuries?

Some shall repent and turn to the Lord in time as he has his remnant.

But the great majority? We shall see what happens.

Why is when the rapture / resurrection a hotly contested thing? It was not even debated until 200 years ago.

Jesus tells us plainly in Matthew 13:24 Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field:

25 But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed (weeds) tares among the wheat, and went his way.

26 But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also.

27 So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares?

28 He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?

29 But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn. (first the tares WEEDS get gathered, the wheat last) could it be any more plain than this?

Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.

    37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

    38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.

But if we are to talk about incest, Eve was born from Adams ribs. Wouldn't that be a type of cloning?

That would be like marrying his daughter. And if God created everything and everyone then we are all related in some sort. We only know of incest now because we were taught to recognize it as a sin but in those times the main importance was to multiply and fill the earth with souls for the glorification of God.

  • Bride of Christ - in Reply on Revelation 11
    Bob Hilt:

Elijah/Moses are the prophets in Revelation 11 (not Enoch). Research Shabbat mey-eyn olam ha-ba and Pesach Seder (Passover etc.) Shabbat and Pesach Seder are yearly feasts... setting a place at their table for Elijah, and leaving the door open for Moses. It will give you a better understanding as to why Moses/Elijah are the Revelation 11 prophets. Jews/Hebrews all around the world prepare (yearly) and wait for the fulfillment of prophecy.

    Malachi 4:5

Foretells of a (one) Gentile prophet that would have the same spirit as/of Elijah. As crazy as that might sound, the Gentile (Christianity) dispensation also needed a prophet.

Although it is controversial among Christians... yes, the rapture takes place before the tribulation. When Moses/Elijah appear in Israel (modern-day Jerusalem), God has already taken His elect. They will not experience the tribulation.

The Bride kept God's Word (even though it was hard) and correctly followed the road map (The Bible, His instructions).

Those on this earth that refuse to follow God and live unjustly will go through the tribulation.

The great tribulation occurs after Moses/Elijah (slain, left for 3 1/2 days, and brought back to life).

God is gracious, loving, and forgiving, but we see in the Bible how He views sin. Sodom is one example of His wrath.

At some point, we know He will deal with His chosen people (Jews/Hebrews); they are the 144,000 spoken of in Revelation 11. Moses/Elijah will come to them, not the Christians/Gentiles. That is who they preach to for 3 1/2 years. God revealed Himself (through Jesus Christ) was rejected/crucified (New Testament). During this time, the Jews/Hebrews will understand who they crucified. He loves them, and Revelation 11 is all about them and has nothing to do with Christians.
  • William on Job 3:25
Though Job was indeed a believer, yet there remained a fearfulness within him. It is a picture of the reality that no matter our level of walk with the Lord in this life, for most of us there is always another level of purification. In each instance with Satan at the throne God said, "behold...." In other words the enemy had quit looking for access against Job because of the Lord's protection, but God is hones even with the enemy. The Lord showed Satan Job's weakness and used the enemy to purify Job for yet another level.

This shows what I see as a truth of the kingdom. Sooner or later God will bring you face to face with your greatest fear in order to show you that he is greater than all of your fear. Though Job demanded answers, when God actually presented himself in the whirlwind Job stood silent with his hand over his mouth knowing God was greatest of all and answered to no one.

The thief didn't require water baptism to be saved, had he lived and come in contact with disciples he'd have heard same commandment, his action would have been same as Eunich.

And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

If the same Spirit that wrote the Word, be in us then would not that Spirit obey His own Word. And would It not act the same way in us as it did in them?
