  • BSP on Matthew 18
Verse 22: This doesn't mean that we should literally keep a count and only forgive 77 times. We should be generous in forgiving as our Heavenly Father is generous in forgiving our sins.
  • BSP on Genesis 24
Verse 63: Isaac chose to go out to a quiet place and meditate. We must create the right conditions and environment in order to meditate on the Bible properly.
  • BSP on Amos 5
Verse 14: We must search for good and not what is bad. This will require effort because we are surrounded by badness.
  • BSP on Hebrews 6
Verse 19: Our Bible based hope can serve as an anchor for our soul or life. Our hope can keep us from drifting away.
  • BSP on Matthew 24
Verse 38: People are so busy today with normal activities and hobbies. There is nothing wrong with these things, but one must make time for spiritual things and put God first in his or her life.
  • Eutychus
Donna, "The Hebrews Paul was talking to had become stagnant in their faith and walk with God. He was showing them the truth of deep commitment by those in past." Yes, great insight! But, he was also teaching Christians of Hebrew/Jewish roots and raising. And as a revelation of the gospel of Jesus Christ, for the Jews, Hebrews has no equal. Note Acts, and sermons for Jews, vs sermons for Gentiles.
  • Roosevelt Paige on Revelation 22
This Was Great I really like reading the word of the bible it gave me knowledge of God word.
  • Dennis clauder on Genesis 1

Will; Hebrews 11:3, "THROUGH faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Does it mean we will have access to the Universe that God created?

Yes,we already are heir to that thru faith in Jesus. But it goes further than that; with it, we please God. "But without faith it is impossible to please God" vs6
  • BSP on Philippians 3
Verse 13: Paul knew he had to forget the things from the past and look ahead to the future prize in order to stay on the right track. We want to imitate him.
  • Eutychus on Hebrews 11
The word 'faith' occurs only twice throughout the OT. Yet here is an entire chapter devoted to faith. Do this...take every OT reference, every example of faith, from Cain and Abel, to Noah, Abraham, all of them...and look them up in the OT, their proper context. You will finish that exercise with a bulked up faith that can move mountains. Faith grows, inexorably, as we read and study God's Word...
  • BSP on Jeremiah 9
Verse 3: The Israelites went from one bad thing to another. They ignored Jehovah God. We must strive to be pleasing to God in all things.
  • BSP on Matthew 14
Verse 20: Jehovah God is never short in his provisions. He always provides an abundance.

  • Verse 13: In order to live we must have a reverential fear of Jehovah God and keep his commandments.
  • Frances Matthews on Romans 9
God is still in control of the Remnant, I believe God said there is no respect of person, He whom gives his heart completely to God through the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ, being born again, and have become a new creature in the Lord, will be in the remnant, Jews, Greeks ,Blacks ,Whites, all of God's people, for God said he has sheep of another fold that He will bring, will be in the Remnant.
  • Jeff Berry on Genesis 1
Brian, sin entered creation when Adam
  • Fred Sission on Psalms 23
The 23 Psalms is near and dear to my heart, its like a tattoo, it can never be removed, it has taken me through the good, bad, and ugly of life, recalled a very depressed time in my life and i recited it over and over, what peace it brought to me, on that day!!
  • Eutychus on Hebrews 9
"For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things..." Hebrews 10:1...looking ahead we see that the law was at best, a shadow, a figure, a type, with things on earth pre-shadowing both our lives as saints, and our lives in eternity. Chapter 9 is revealing how the types and shadows interact with the tabernacle and temple in light of our NT lives and living.
  • Eutychus on Hebrews 9
"It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these." The OT reveals in figures and patterns, the reality we live today in Christ Jesus. You must read Exodus, Leviticus and Deuteronomy to find figures and patterns of those things we experience today, and will experience in heaven.
  • Eutychus
"For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:" This new covenant is Jesus, the Word of God, dwelling within us in the person of the Holy Spirit, who leads us into all truth and verity. A promise fulfilled...
  • Eutychus on Hebrews 8
"Now of the things which we have spoken this is the sum: We have such an high priest, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; a minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Lord pitched, and not man." We have the ultimate high priest...but of the church, the true tabernacle, built as Jesus said he would. That tabernacle is the temple on earth.
  • Robin Jester on Hebrews 8
The earthly tabernacle built during the exodus was patterned after the tabernacle of God in Heaven. Ex 25:8,9 40 . The tabernacle built "without hands" after which the earthly tabernacle was modeled resides in Heaven. The tabernacle system portrays the plan of salvation. The earthly version was the type: The heavenly version fulfills the types. This is the message of Hebrews 7-10.
  • Eutychus

"For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof. For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did." The law was a stopgap measure (Gal 3:19), until the Seed of Abraham came, which is Christ. At that point, the law ceased to speak, and we walked into the reality of being justified by faith, not by law...
  • Eutychus

How can Paul equate Melchisedec to Jesus, who is God on earth among us???? Paul isn't equating Melchisedec to Jesus...he is drawing a comparison between their ministries, and their priesthoods. And Jesus' ministry and priesthood is superior. "By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament" vs 22. Melchizedec's ministry was temporal...Jesus' ministry is eternal, everlasting.
  • Eutychus on Hebrews 7
"Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually." No beginning, no end of is the mystery...regarding which I will not attempt an answer. WHERE IS MELCHIZADEK? If he has no end of days, he must be alive...where is he? On earth? In heaven? Where then is Melchizadek?
  • Eutychus on Hebrews 6
"That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation." vs 18. WHAT ARE THE TWO IMMUTABLE THINGS, Paul is speaking of here? Don't know? Read carefully, to verse 12, of chapter 7. That verse names the two immutable things...The priesthood, and the law, which have been fulfilled in Jesus. Both have been remade, made better, fulfilled, in Jesus.
  • Eutychus on Hebrews 6
Please read again, the first 6 verses. Slowly, carefully, prayerfully. You are capable, with the help of the Holy Spirit, of fully understanding what is being said here. Read it, and tell me what it is saying...put aside what you've been told, and let a better teacher, the Holy Spirit, guide you into the truth. It isn't mysterious, nothing hidden. Just the words, saying what they mean, exactly.
  • Eutychus
    "Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" The "HE" here is Jesus, Son of God.
