  • Mishael on Acts 1919 - in Reply on 1 Corinthians 15
Read it, Bob. I knew it had to be bad because of the Book of Lamentations. I know that the end of the earth was going to be bad. God has to eradicate contrary religions, beliefs.

That's why it is so important in evangelizing that people get the newborns into a Christian church and study group.

I know from my studies that God is going to give the Jews a choice to repent and run to Him only; receive Jesus as their long awaited for, Messiah. Of course that will happen after the Caught Up event. Also the other events to endure. If they don't believe in Jesus at that time, there will be no more remedy for them. The wheat will be separated from the chaff; the goats from the sheep. Everywhere. God is no respecter of persons.

I didn't know how deeply they are into mysticism; esoteric and occult belief.

Hard to believe it was that all consuming.

Satan has something for everyone. My experience: he doesn't like to lose the ones who served him knowingly or unknowingly. Everyone who has dabbled...better repent and get all idols out of the home. It gives "them" permission to come in. Destroy it; pour paint over it. Acts 19:13-19

    Thanks for sending that, Bob.

    Carlos ...

The entire Word of God was written by Jews and was written to the Jews, with exception of The Apostle Paul, The Apostle of The GENTILES.

    That is YOU!

The Revelation is a book of PROPHECY ... to The 7 Churches of Asia that existed during Paul's day.

    Revelation 1:3

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this PROPHECY, and keep those things written therein: for the time is at hand.

You see, The Tribulation was right around the corner for those Jews living during Paul's day, and the books Hebrews through The Revelation are written to prepare the Jews for the SOON Tribulation.

BUT, what happened? How come it DID NOT happen right away?

Answer: Paul and The Body Of Christ

These 7 churches of Asia were JEWISH . . . 7 Candlesticks, Angels, Works, Synagogue, Doctrine of Balaam, Hidden Manna, White Stone, Jezebel, White Linen, Priests, Key of David, New Jerusalem, The Lamb, Lion from The Tribe Of Judah, and on and on.

None of The Revelation has anything to do with YOU!

    Thank goodness!

Hebrews - The Last Days, Prophets, Throne, Anointed With Oil, Heirs Of Salvation, Signs and Wonders, To Call Them Brethren, Seed Of Abraham, Bondage, Make reconciliation for the sins of the people, Moses, House, Provocation, and on and on . . . ALL JEWISH.

James . . . To the Twelve Tribes Scattered ... JEWISH!

Peter . . . To the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia . . . ALL JEWISH!

    123 John . . . Unto The ELECT Lady ISRAEL . . . JEWISH!

Jude . . . Feasts, Error Of Balaam, Egypt, Moses, Angels, Garment spotted, Last Time, Looking for the Mercy . . . JEWISH!

The Tribulation . . . The Time Of Jacobs TROUBLE!

    WHEN did Jacob have TROUBLE?

The 1st 7 years Jacob worked for Leah... the 2nd 7 years Jacob worked for Rachel, whom he loved, that was TROUBLE! The Kingdom promised to Abraham and David will come and The Jews will inherit The Earth!

God is going to KEEP HIS PROMISE!

The woman is the church and the answer if found in Revelation 12

that is the real future of the church. I know many will argue with me, however IF they want to believe the antichrists

in the middle east are the woman, well that is on them. A remnant of them shall come to the Lord at one point.

Zionism is a secular non-religious movement.

King James Bible Jesus speaks to some of the Jews in John 10:23 - 29:And Jesus walked in the temple in Solomon's porch. Then came the JEWS (THE JEWS) round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly.

Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me.

"But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you."

But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand

You have much more experience than I do in all versions of the Bible. I only have King James Bible and KJV Bible commentaries; Dictionary. I knew you have recommended the NAS too. I just thought you'd do better to answer that questioner. I meant no confusion.

Although I have a Dakes, I really only look at the lists or their concordance. I just ordered a new KJV large print concordance so I can see it; which I am very excited to get.

I stress understanding of God's Purpose for Creation, because without it, many things in Scripture don't make sense. Why, for example did God create the Jewish Nation? Did God just look around for some group that looked good to Him and selected them to show them love? What about the rest of humanity? Doesn't God love them too? Let me explain. God created the Jews from Abraham for:

    1. The Law

    2. Christ

The only two reasons for the existence of the Jews, was so Christ could enter into a broken world, deemed wicked by the Law. There is a thread that ties all of the Bible together from front cover to back cover. From before God created anything, God started threading the needle of history with Christ. Christ is that thread that holds all things together. If you take a needle and thread, tie a knot at the end of it and shove it from Genesis 1, page by page, chapter by chapter, book by book, through to Revelation 22, you will see that the thread is Jesus. He was before all things and created all things. God the savior of mankind existed before Adam and Eve fell. God threaded the needle in eternity, before He created time/space. And God started sewing the fabric of history with Jesus from Genesis to Revelation.

When we see that the people of Israel, the Chosen People, were created with a specific Purpose, that Christ would come into the world through them, the rest of the story falls in perspective. Creation is about Christ. The Bible is the story of Christ from before the beginning of time 2 Tim 1:9, Hebrews 10:5, Matthew 1, Revelation 22.

The time of the Rapture is really inconsequential. What our focus should be is in that Christ is Coming Back. The Bible is the history of Christ. The Rapture is about His triumphant return to earth.
  • Jesse - in Reply on Revelation 13
    Hello Greg,

Thank you so much for pointing that out. I see where I could have reworded things a little differently. Please allow me to clarify. I believe you might be referring to this: "During this time, I see no mention of the church being on the earth, so I have to believe that we have already been raptured."

When I said "during this time," I was referring to the 7-year tribulation period, with the last 3-1/2 being called the "Great Tribulation." And where I said "I have to believe that we have already been raptured," I meant that we will be raptured prior to the beginning of the 7-year period, not that the church has already been raptured.

Again, thank you for pointing this out. And my apologies if I may have caused confusion.
  • CARLOS RAMIREZ TREVINO - in Reply on John 5:43
Ann Hering. With respect to the "Mystery", Paul is not the only one to use that expression. In Revelation 1:20, 17:5, 7 the Angel reveals a mystery of the end times. In Daniel 2:22, 30, 47 God reveals a mystery. A mystery is something we don't yet know or understand. In Isaiah 44: God tells us He is going to reveal things that have not happened. See also Amos 3:7.

Sometimes well-intentioned people teach things that seem true, but are wrong. As stated before, the Bible never segregates the Tribulation as an event that will only affect Jews. The New Testament letters were written for the Church, not for the Jews. It is God's message to us who believe, 1 Cor 1. Paul and Peter were adamant about not returning to Judaism, 2 Peter 2:22.

Perhaps Hebrews 6:4, 6, 10:26 can shed some light on this. There remains no Sacrifice for anyone that thinks they can be saved by returning to Judaism. And if that is the case, why would God nullify Christ's ultimate sacrifice on the Cross, to punish the Jews for 7 years? Sacrifices, by Jews or anyone else are worthless. So why would God want to restore them as a means for Salvation in the Tribulation? The doctrine that the Tribulation is for the Jews, absent Christians, is a fabrication that doesn't meet the test of reality. God works within the framework of reality, not fiction.

If you can show where the Bible says the Tribulation is for the Jews, please do. But first, you must deal with Matthew 24:29, 2 Timothy 2, which set the stage for every other mention of the 2nd Coming and the Rapture. We know from the mouth of Jesus that He is coming Immediately After the Great Tribulation. It remains to be shown that He is coming before that for a Rapture. But if there is a place in Scripture that says otherwise, please point to it. I can tell you now, you won't find it. Every mention of a Rapture scenario follows the description in Matthew 24.

Furthermore, don't believe the lie that some of the books of the NT are for the Jews. They are not.
  • Tread Carefully - in Reply on Jude 1
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

    Genesis 6:1-4

The sons of GOD ARE INDEED Angels, this is referenced in Jude as well. So, 1st Enoch may be missing from our translations. GOD YHWH is the ONLY TRUE AND HOLY JUDGE.

Carlos ... Dispensation is a word that God uses.

Paul tells us that there were 2 GOSPELS!

    Galatians 2:7

But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the UNCIRCUMCISION was committed unto me (Paul), as the gospel of the CIRCUMCISION was unto Peter.

God is "dispensing" GRACE today. Israel's salvation in the past was based on works!

God hid THE MYSTERY in time past BUT NOW has made known to US through Paul.

Read these VERSES very carefully . . .

    Ephesians 3:1-9

For this cause I Paul, the prisoner of Jesus Christ for you GENTILES,

If ye have heard of the DISPENSATION of the GRACE OF GOD which is given me to you-ward:

How that by revelation he made known unto me THE MYSTERY; (as I wrote afore in few words,

Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in THE MYSTERY OF CHRIST)

    Which in other ages was NOT MADE KNOWN unto the sons of God, as it is NOW revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

That the GENTILES should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by THE GOSPEL:

Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the GRACE OF GOD given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

    Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is THIS GRACE given, that I should preach among the GENTILES the unsearchable riches of Christ;

And to make ALL MEN SEE what IS the fellowship of THE MYSTERY, which from the beginning of the world hath been HID IN GOD, who created all things by Jesus Christ.

The Word of God is CLEAR on this!

You and I ARE GENTILES, and we had better listen to Paul and get our doctrine from him!

Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David had to DO WORKS (whatever God told them to do) THEN they FOUND GRACE in the eyes of The LORD!

That is NOT how we get SAVED!

Adam was in the garden of Eden by himself for (we don't know how many of years) and never was tempted by the fruit on the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Than GOD put Eve in the garden (we don't know for how many years) and neither of them ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It was only when GOD put Satan into the garden that Eve was tempted and ate the fruit which has gotten us where we are today.

So my Question is why put Satan in the garden, when the temptation was already there?

Behold th kingdom of GOD IS WITH IN YOU VIA THAT GOOD SEED TH WORD. 27 times th prophets saw the world in travail and birth pains. We don't need to go anywhere we are complete in him, besides there is no oxigen high up in the clouds. Soon the rain was coming down and the ppl were drowned but this 2 nd time its not natural water but spritual water Isaiah said that knowledge shall cover the earth as the waters cover th seas a spritual flood living waters then isaiah mentions the weaned child and the sucking child then isaiah mentions a 2 nd coming, I will set my hand again a 2 nd time to recover THE REME NANT OF my ppl this IS the rapture via seed ( THE CHILDREN ) SHE BROUGHT FORTH A MAN CHILD . Thats y jesus said these things are hid from the wise and prudent ( religious folks ) but revealed unto babes his babes that are spirits, That new born babe Paul is speaking of is the H.G. that desires the sincere milk of the Word . Ann Hering, 1st of all, the idea that Christians will not go through the Tribulation, is a relatively modern notion. It is also closely tied to a Dispensationalist program that is also a modern invention. That program is not found in the Bible. On its surface, it does give you a picture of a somewhat historical development of Biblical events, but with many flaws. Out of it comes this idea that we are in the Dispensation or period of Grace that will come to an end. The fact is, the Grace and Mercy of God was always in effect and will never come to an end, Galatians 3:21.

Salvation is based on Christ and Christ's death never comes to an end. That Christ died and we can be saved by calling on Him will always be true. And the Holy Spirit is never taken away. There is no Gospel for the Jews as distinct from a Gospel for the Gentiles. 2 These 2 is clear that both Rapture and 2nd Coming are concurrent events for those that follow Christ. There is no distinction between Jew and non-Jew. Paul tells us there is no other Gospel, Galatians 2:21.

Many churches teach there will be a period of Tribulation just for the Jews. Therefore, Christians must be taken out of the earth. To get there they read things into Scripture that just aren't there. Christ never even alluded to that. Neither did any of the Apostles. We are saved by Grace. If the Law and Sacrifices could save, Christ would not have been necessary. Christ died once and for all. There is no Dispensational 7th Week of Daniel outlined in the Bible. He is just telling us what is going to happen to all of us. Luke 19:10.

There is a misunderstanding of the Book of Revelation, the Tribulation Period, Judgement and Wrath. A study of Revelation will show the Day of the Lord and Wrath are specific to the last hour of the Tribulation. Many confuse it with the entire 7 year period. Revelation gives you a panorama of history, then starts shrinking it down to the last moment, which is when God pours out His Wrath. Romans 1:17.

    Context, context, context!

You have to know what was going on during Paul's day. There were Jews during Paul's ministry that wanted to put people under The Law (Acts 15:1), and Paul warned them not to believe in ANY OTHER Gospel 1 Cor 15:1-4.

John The Baptist preached this gospel to ISRAEL ...

    Matthew 3:1-2

In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    Acts 19:4

Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.

Jesus Christ preached The Gospel of the Kingdom to ISRAEL.

    Matthew 4:17

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

    Matthew 4:23

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

The Tribulation Gospel will be preached in the future to ISRAEL after The Body of Christ is taken out of here.

You see, WHAT Israel had to believe during Jesus' ministry is NOT The Gospel Paul preached to Jews and Gentiles in this Age of Grace.

Paul's Gospel is THE GOSPEL 1 Cor 15:1-4 we need to believe to be saved today!

Thanks Mishael: I think you would have done quite well, as others, to answer this question.

Ongom, your question can receive many answers according to people's research, their understanding & preference for a particular version. As you are asking on this Site, the obvious answer will be that the King James Version is more preferable to all others. I only read from it, though I believe that if someone simply can't understand its English & if suitable helps are not available to them, then it's better to read from another translation (e.g. NASB, NKJV), than not read or understand the Bible at all.

So to the KJV. Even though it was translated from later Manuscripts (& not the older ones as some would give preference to), the translators found that these Manuscripts were much more reliable (for consistency, accuracy & from checking with other Manuscripts) than the others, such as the Sinaitic & Vatican Manuscripts, which contained significant errors.

As well, there were many scholars (about 47 of them), highly skilled in Hebrew & Greek who were involved in this work of translating & they constantly checked, re-checked & assessed their work before the Bible was published. In fact, they worked for several years (about six years, I think) to ensure total reliability.

Yet, I must also say, that by just reading the Bible (as many do for its olden history), will be of limited value unless God's Spirit Who inspired the writers of the Bible books, is also involved in helping the reader to understand it & learn from its many precious lessons. So, we pray that God's Spirit will help you to decide on the right version of the Bible & then to understand & apply the Truths of His Word to your life.
  • Chris - in Reply on 1 Timothy 2:4
John, just going through your comment & a few questions arose in my mind:

    a. what is the Fire of God you speak of? You said that "it's not a literal fire", but I couldn't think of a Scripture that spoke of the type of fire you mentioned.

    b. Romans 14:11. I don't think the word 'forced' to confess & bow is what Christians understand when reading that verse (at least, I don't). I see that at the Coming of Christ & in His Reign on Earth, people will not be forced to do anything. Paul said that since we as believers will all stand before Christ's Judgement Seat & have to give account of ourselves, so will all those who are not believers also have to submit & confess to God about their lives & their rejection of His Christ. So, I see rather that we will all be in a state of judicial submission where our appointed time with the Judge has arrived: some to reigning with Christ & others to everlasting damnation.

    c. Which then leads to: "a literal fire to burn forever." Can I assume that you see this fire as an allegory? And what of the other Scriptures that speak of it? Your response, should you wish to give it, will help me understand your position better for discussion.

KWAW, have you tried sleeping 2-3 hours only over an extended period of time? If you have had to do it to maintain your regimen of studies & research, you will soon find that your waking hours are not going to be very good. You will get very sleepy, lose concentration, maybe get irritable, become unhealthy, etc. Adequate sleep is a must & should be seen as a far greater need than even achieving success. Sleep is important to help your body & mind recover, heal & stay in focus during your waking hours.

My suggestion is that you choose the time of day that suits you best to do your research & writing of papers (sometimes it is better in the early hours of the morning when the mind & body are fresh). If so, then go to bed earlier (7:30 or 8 pm) so that you can get adequate sleep before starting early the next day. And in a short time, your body will adjust to the new time schedule. But please don't neglect your rest time; and don't neglect your time in prayer & God's Word which are able to refresh your spirit & guide you through your day.
  • Mishael on Why Evil Things Happen on Matthew 7:5
When Lucifer was kicked out of Heaven (pre-garden of Eden), he was on the earth in the darkness. He was here when creation began.

When Adam and Eve sinned, Lucifers name became Satan. He obtained the deed to the earth.

Evil was here until 2nd Adam, Jesus came to earth, became the Son of Man, and fulfilled his work as Messiah; the Son of God.

When Jesus was crucified, He fulfilled over 100 prophesies. One was Genesis 3:15, And I will put enmity between thee (Satan) and the woman and between thy seed and her seed, "IT" shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

Jesus got the keys to hell to release the prisoners; and He took back the deed to the earth. Satan was stripped. But he's still here. At the 2nd Advent, there will be a war between Satan and Jesus. Satan will lose.

That's why we have an I WILL running around to and fro in the earth exercising evil against people. Gods children are hurt too, but we can pray for Divine intervention if our faith is strengthened and exercised.

Even in the Lords Prayer, we pray: deliver us from the evil. If you don't know what that prayer means, you are going to suffer hurts or worse. Get knowledge and fight!!

Satan is a loose evil will in our world. That's all he's got, but that's bad enough. That's why I tell people to pray and ask the Holy Spirit for the gift of Discerning Of Spirits. You'll be able to discern when evil is about or when angels are near.

Learn about spiritual warfare. Don't start seeing demons everywhere. Learn what their fruit is.

Look, I'm not going to tell about weird stuff that's happened to me. If you have weird stuff then you can ask me. My testimony is Heinz 57.

Be blessed because Jesus has overcome them!
  • Peter on Genesis 1
I am fascinated by Genesis 1 and 2 and I have tried to interpret various verses always saying that we should look at them in context meaning along with the other verses in the chapter; however; now i think that along with that; it should be in context with other related verses in the Bible; and I always said that maybe the Bible and God does not tell us everything; but now I think that maybe it does; if I indeed could do that; and some people are good at it; I see their references and comments; and I always appreciate them; and I usually or generally check them; and indeed do like reading them; but I am generally not good at doing that and sometimes get a bit hazy or it sometimes confuses me; however; starting at 1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. I wonder what i would find if i were to read all the other verses in the Bible connected with what He put in the Heaven at that time; and some of those things of course are mentioned in Genesis 1 and 2 but I wonder what else because i know that there were angels in Heaven but I always assumed that when we died; that was what we became plus I have heard about the archangel etc. and now that too probably should be considered, I think, in interpreting these first 5 verses, for example, and i think that I would also need more information I think that is available in the Bible for interpretations on Adam and Eve and who sinned ...etc.
  • Chris - in Reply on Job 17:12
Amadeus, I don't believe that Job 17:12 actually says that, with due regard to your Father's understanding. When I study that verse, indeed the book of Job, I see a suffering man in every sense of the word. And to add insult to injury, his 'friends' often gave him atrocious advice & were of little comfort to him.

So this verse is a small part of Job's appointment to continual suffering. In verse 11, he dismayed about the days given to him, even his thoughts & ambitions for the future, were in pieces. So in verse 12, I believe he intimates that his 'friends' added to his troubling thoughts, that kept him up all night ("turned night into day"), even his daylight hours were like darkness because of the darkness in his mind ("light is short because of darkness."). Then as you read on, his hopelessness is exacerbated, as he thinks of his nearness to death.

If I should use a verse to describe what you've said, I could refer you to Proverbs 6:6-11. These verses speak about the Sluggard whose laziness takes him through the night into the next day, thereby assuring him of poverty. The Ant is cited as a creature that has more sense & work ethic than a lazy man. But if you're seeking a Scripture for people who need to stay up at night (e.g. medical staff, security, warehousing, etc.), then there is nothing in the Word, nor is there anything to suggest that reversing the order (i.e. sleep in the day & be awake at night) is wrong. Sometimes, this is necessary.
