  • A disciple on 2 Thessalonians 2
Ivan; You have to use discernment, and check the person out. Theatrics and showmanship is not the power of the Glad Tidings, but the work of God's Spirit on the inner man to awaken to life from the dead repent and be converted, and to show forth the completeness of the Word. "I and the children which God has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel." God wants to show works of Power in us!
  • A disciple on Revelation 6
Cont. Going back still further; the whole intention of the Lord in His messages to the Churches, has to do with being fit for His Presence by a clean and pious life first most importantly having Jesus as our unmovable first love; in order to bear up during the catastrophic completion of the age; and by all means OVERCOME the beast and its image, even unto death. So we are shown what all this is!
  • A disciple on Revelation 6
Al; Let's go back a chapter or two, and see what is the matter here. We are brought into the Throne Room in heaven, and Him that sits on the throne has a little scroll in His hand; a "small matter" but one that only the Son of God is worthy to take and look upon its contents. This little scroll in the right hand of God contains the conclusion of the matter of the Satanic condition of the world.
  • A disciple on Revelation 6
ALZEPP; I started reading the commentary as you suggested; and found it quite empty. There's nothing in the Scriptures, or in ancient history to support this person's fanciful ideas. But there was one both in Scripture, and ancient writings, who fits perfectly this description of a conqueror and an archer and one whose appearance and exploits have covered the earth and remain a fundamental belief.

  • Stephen B. on Isaiah 53
How great is the love of Christ, to endure death, even the death of the cross, for such a worm as I.
  • Stephen B. on Isaiah 52
As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

This is Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God, God the Son himself. What verse 14 is saying is that He did not resemble a man because of his torture. That is how much He loves us.
  • A Disciple. Jesus and His disciples preached the gospel with sign and wonders and that is what brought revival and souls to the kingdom. Words are not enough. A true believer full of the Spirit will walk in holiness and power. The signs that the devil performs does not draw people to Jesus, but to the person. It is very simple to tell the difference. Don't change the gospel. It is with power.

  • A disciple on Ecclesiastes 12
"Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them...Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it." The Summoner has filled this book with questions and searching out by wisdom the purpose of life; for the end of all this vanity is death.
