Caught Up in the Clouds. I think it was the Greek word, Rapta, that started the controversy.

    Sometimes called the Last Day
  • Ken - in Reply on Isaiah 57
Correct, at the last trump (after the seven years of Tribulation), the Church is absent from any associated text. It is because the Church was raptured (harpazo) prior to the tribulation period...

We await the final count of the gentiles (and converted Jews) to come in.

At that point of the final number, the rapture occurs, the Bride of Christ (the Church) is taken away, the Age of Grace ends, and Daniel's 70th week begins... not a good time nor place to be here on Earth. The Bible says that the sorrow and grief will be unlike any period preceding. Envision the Holocaust again, only worse...

How come it says they were burnt but they also took their bones ??
  • Fricis Ukstins - in Reply on Isaiah 57
1 Corinthians 15:52 even states when Christ will return ... at "the last trumpet"

the Greekbword for Trump here isvthe clarion call or the last call as in a bar and is only found in 1 other place ... Revelation at judgement ... there is no "rapturing" the church out .

Chris, who teaches in here every day, will be back soon. I hope you will meet him and tell him your testimony. He's very knowledgeable about Catholicism, and what it all means. A very good person.

    Book of Joel, Chapter 2

28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your DAUGHTERS shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 And also upon the servants and upon the HANDMAIDS in those days will I pour out my spirit.

Large scale or small scale; people are waking out of their slumber, to preach the return of Jesus. IT IS NOT useful to criticize the preachers gender. I the past , God has even used donkeys or asses to get HIS WORD out to its intended.

We are to encourage each other!! Not strip us down to bones so we become useless. People are falling over like dominoes every day because, where are the encouragers?

It was Mary Magdalene who snapped the Disciples out of their fears and encouraged them to Go See For Yourselves: HE IS RISEN!!!

If you cannot be an encourager to those WHO WILL, GO YE.... go hide in your house with your Bible that has quit speaking to you.

But Jesus would say, be healed, be re-filled and anointed anew with the power of the Holy Spirit; to carry the Gospel and encourage others to join you.

Jesus talked to one outcast Samaritan woman (Gentile) and in the conversation told her of all the secrets of her life. She runs to her village and testifies what happened, and they all run back to Jesus to meet this man of GOD. It says the entire town got born again.

God is doing a brand new thing now. Keep your eyes on him, and let your opinions go. DO what Jesus is doing.

Brother Norman Walker Butch - Brother Adam is directing you right where you need to focus. Your Blessings from God. Your wife, whom You Love. Love her even more. You have a body that still works - okay, not so well anymore, but use what you have. I am right on your heels in age. Greet your wife with a smile and a loving kiss on her hand. Treat her as Christ treats the Body of Christ - with total love. Ignore what is happening in this world, because God has allowed it to happen. He allows and disallows to fulfill the Scriptures. Check the weather, and then read your Scriptures. Pray to God throughout the day. Then, smile at your wife and let her know the love you have for her. Sit down and eat every meal with her. Let her know that your knees are still weak for her. Keep loving God, love yourself for whom Jesus gave His life. You are special, and so is your wife. Love your wife. Keep the Scriptures close to your heart. The time is indeed near for Jesus. God bless your days my brother.

Adam, thank you very much and I want to tell you that you are right on! I have thought about all the things you just said. Instead of me changing everything I just sit and feel sorry for myself and ask God to make me happy! I also have been really worried about what is going on in this country a lot and I need to stop because there is not one thing I can do about it at all! If we have the Holy Father then we really do not have anything to worry about at all! Thanks again and I am going to try to change the way I look at things now! I wish the best for you Adam and really this is not me at all, I was always wide open and never looked back and now I have changed so much since I have got older! Thanks!

I do not want to be contrary, but there are scriptures that are coming to mind.

Isaiah 42:9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.

God says by his prophet that he will tell his people (Israel) what is to come to pass before it happens. Things coming to pass would include both the blessings and judgement. No prophet from between Malachi and Jesus has predicted the extreme and severe and by my heart horrific events that many Jewish believers have suffered.

Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like

    unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;

This Prophet , Jesus, fulfilled this passage. It is from this Prophet, Jesus Christ on that will predict what is yet to come to pass before it passes for all people including all Jews and Gentiles.

    Hi Norman,

While that physical challenge would be an adjustment to deal with and while you can find sympathy and prayers, I would like to challenge you in a different way which God already gave us freewill to change: our outlook and attitude. The fact is life is short and we all have limitations and challenges, some seen, some hidden. Grass is greener on the other side too. You admitted that you had 50 years of active fun with your family- that's amazing! Many people don't even get to experience what that's like to be married like you and many are lonely like me who never found a person to love. What I don't understand is how you think that having a physical limitation automatically means you can't be happy? Who says? Or that it means your 'no good for her'?! Where does that thought even come from? Does it come from God or satan? It's certainly not God, because all are valuable in his sight. Have you seen the youtube video of the motivational speaker with no arms and legs who travels the world and has a fulfilling life? Why do you think he's happy and he's overflowing with blessings, but you can actually still walk but are giving up on yourself? Do you think people who are disabled or in wheelchairs can't be happy? What I suggest is to challenge your interpretation of your condition. Count your blessings, do what Philippians 4 says. Yes, pray, but the best you can do for your wife is to have a positive mental outlook. It takes practice, but you already have power over these emotions which come from false interpretations. You do this by replacing your interpretation with a more positive and realistic interpretation, practice this and thinking how blessed you are, practice having compassion for all the others in this world who don't have as much as you. Learn from those who have found the 'secret' of being content in all situations, like Paul, and the disabled motivational speaker. Don't believe the enemy's lies about your value. You must fight back. God bless.

As Mishael said it is hideous and I agree. And yes, I do not suggests that many should see the same thing, as it is very upsetting. I imagine if there are two forgotten old churches that have not removed their caskets from the public's view that there are more.

You were supposed to answer using bible references for me to be satisfied. And am really sorry that you mention someone whom when we compare with the word , at a given point she may have gone out of the word. Eg divorce and Malachi 2:13-14 God is against it and she has committed it
  • Adam - in Reply on Hebrews 9:14
Hello, yes, you will be forgiven if you follow Jesus. But under grace we still are accountable for our actions. Jesus asks us to avoid sin. Jesus says in the way we forgive others we will also be forgiven. Read Matthew 18.

If a Christian makes a promise to GOD and does not keep it but continually repents for making that promise will GOD forgive them? The promise was made while in excruciating pain.

  • Mina on Proverbs 6:16
I am glad I have a God that is faithful and just. We are all broken and trying to do our best to be like Christ so often we try to do it on our own. I am thankful that the Bible reminds me that if we repent and ask God's forgiveness, He is there ready to forgive us. "Ask and it shall given unto you". Amen.

re Proverbs 10:22 every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. If you ask God for bread He will not give you a stone. God knows how to give good. gifts to His children.

  • Bob Grove on Acts 27:9
    Revelation 20 v 6

This is the First resurrection, Jesus said in John ch 6 He is the resurrection. This happens on the last day , prior to the Lords 2nd coming , same time or day . The wicked are destroyed and Jesus rules out of Jerusalem, Israel now is under his Reign. The promise is fulfilled

The Pretribulation rapture of the church cannot be found in the bible . Because it's a heresy . I have been to churches that fully are indoctrinated with this so I heard just about all there is to it , it still is not in the bible .

My conclusion is they are confusing the first resurrection with the so called Rapture 7 yrs before the tribulation .

It started by jN Darby of the Plymouth brethren about 1830 s. . Yes I attended these churches for quite a while so I heard it all ! Still not found in the Bible after 45 yrs reading it prayerfully . Yes at one time I believed it until I started reading my Bible for myself .

Thank God for the truth that sets us free if we continue in it ! Amen

Yes, very heinous indeed! I was a practicing Catholic for 33 years and when the Lord led me through His word I was horrified when I realized the idolatry in which I had participated...I wept bitter tears but praise God, I am forgiven! The last time I had to attend a mass for a funeral, I was happy to find that I can no longer recite the mass in robotic fashion as I had since I was a child. Even though I had not participated verbally in 20 years, your mind can't help but follow along because it is so ingrained.

Praise God for His word and the freedom He gives!!!!
