    Concerning "DOGS"

It is interesting to note that the word for "dog" is the Hebrew words "kol" meaning "all" and "leb" meaning "heart."

Jesse Yes Rome did murder many believers. Did you know the Vatican's head inquisitioner in Spain was Tomas Torquemada who was born of a Jewish family. He was responsible for many deaths of believers. Same group who killed Jesus and the apostles. The Jewish encyclopedia documents this fact.

Well if the Bible is right and others teach things that is against what is in the Bible, I am happy to correct them.

How about the lie that Rome killed Jesus? Pilate tried to release Jesus. Yet the lie continues.

John 19:12 And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release (Jesus) him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself a king speaketh against Caesar.

That is of course if we believe the Bible. I am no fan of the Vatican, but I shall not blame the Vatican for something she did not do.

Truth is not antisemitic. While everyone is looking at Rome, the man of sin aka son of perdition shall rule from Jerusalem.

Judaism is antichrist and a heresy that denies the virgin birth, the atonement and resurrection of Jesus.

1 John 2:22 - Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (ALL Jews deny Jesus and that makes them antichrist, if they believed in Jesus then they would be CHRISTIANS. IF you do not believe me call any Synagogue and ask them if Jesus is the Messiah.)

1 John 2:23 - Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

If Jews do not accept Jesus as messiah, then who is their messiah?

Those "Messianic Jews" who use Yeshua are also denying the name of Jesus given to Mary by Gabriel in the Greek New Testament, basically denying my King James Bible.

I find it offensive that a certain group claims Mary got pregnant having relations with Pantera, a roman soldier who paid her in silver coins. Maybe we should be happy to be corrected with the Bible?

Thanks for correcting my error, Bob. You seem to be very good at correcting other people's errors. I read most of your posts and you spend a lot of time correcting others. I think I agree with what Mishael had to say. She makes a great point about sharing our relationship with Christ to others. That would be much better than constantly tearing apart what other people share here. I am not saying that we should not correct a blatant error, especially if it impacts a person's salvation, but if all we do is spend our time correcting what we perceive as "error," what are we doing? Tearing apart everything people share does not do anything for building up the church as we should be doing.

In all sincerity, I do thank you for pointing out my error on the seven hills. I just looked it up and you are correct. There are others. Good job! But none of those cities match the description of the seven hill city in Revelation Chapters 17 and 18. We see that this city will be utterly destroyed. You can't tell me that is Jerusalem. There is no place in scripture that tells us that in the end times Jerusalem will be completely destroyed. Quite the opposite! Rome will be destroyed.

You ask me "Who killed the saints and the Lord?" Here's my answer to that. Yes, the Jews were responsible for persecuting those who followed Christ. But so was Rome. You cannot deny that Rome slaughtered and tortured millions of Christians for many centuries.

For the second part of your question, "Who killed the Lord?" You killed him, Bob. You killed Him, I killed Him, and every sinner who has been born into this world killed Him. You can't blame this on the Jews. Jesus Christ came for the sole purpose of dying on the cross. Why did He do this? He did it for you, He did it for me, and He did it for every sinner that has ever been born. We killed Him, Bob. Technically, He freely gave Himself up to death. Had it not of been for our sin, He would not have had to come and die. So yes, you and I killed Him!

No Jessue you are error since there are many cities built on 7 hills and Jerusalem is one of them.

Jerusalem's seven hills are the following Mount Scopus, Mount Olivet (Mount of Olives) and the Mount of Corruption (all three are peaks in a mountain ridge that lies east of the old city), Mount Ophel, the original Mount Zion, the New Mount Zion and the hill on which the Antonia Fortress was built, you know the wailing wall where the jews pray at.

Rome was never sent prophets of the Lord. who killed the saints and the Lord?

King James Bible book of John 5:16 - And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

John 5:18 - Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

John 7:1 - After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him.

Acts 9:23 - And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill him

Acts 23:12 - And when it was day, certain of the Jews banded together, and bound themselves under a curse, saying that they would neither eat nor drink till they had killed Paul.

Acts 26:21 - For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.

Do you see Rome in there anywhere?

Paul in 1 Thessalonians 2:14, 16 - For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God which in Judaea are in Christ Jesus: for ye also have suffered like things of your own countrymen, EVEN AS THEY HAVE OF THE JEWS: WHO BOTH KILLED THE LORD JESUS, and their own PROPHETS, and have persecuted us; and THEY PLEASE NOT GOD, and are contrary to all men: Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: FOR THE WRATH IS COME UPON THEM TO THE UTTERMOST.

Revelation 18:24 says Babylon killed the prophets.

  • Jesse - in Reply on Revelation 13
    James,

The book of Revelation is the Revelation of Jesus Christ. It speaks of end-time events and the coming judgment, but also gives us a picture of our Lord Jesus Christ coming in glory. As far as what's going on in our country (U.S.), I see a lot of evil, but that is going on all over the world. The things happening here do not fit into the book of Revelation as far as end-time prophecy is concerned. All end-time prophecy centers around the nation of Israel, not the United States.

Revelation 17:5 mentions the phrase "Mystery, Babylon the Great." In Revelation, Babylon is cryptically known as Rome. Chapter 17 gives us the description of the destruction of Babylon which was shown to the apostle John. It describes this woman who is riding the beast. She is called the great whore that sits upon many waters.

In Revelation 17:6, John sees the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus. For many centuries, Rome, under the direction of the papacy tortured, burned, and slaughtered many Christians.

Revelation 17:9 gives us the location of this woman who rides the beast. It's a city that sits on seven hills or mountains. Rome is the only city on this earth that sits on seven hills. John is shown the mystery of this woman, Babylon the great, and her future destruction in Revelation 17:16.

The beast is only going to allow the religious system, the prophet, to ride this beast for so long. And the ten nations are going to give their allegiance to this woman. But when the antichrist is through with her, then he's going to turn against her, as well as the kings because they're going to be on his side, and she's going to be destroyed, this religious system.

    QUESTION

Is the time of the Tribulation a 7 year period of time (from Daniel)?

I have heard the time of the Tribulation to be the time of Jacob's Trouble" (Jeremiah 30:7)
  • D.J. - in Reply on John 7:1
    Victoria,

Concerning the 7th day of the week and the 1st day of the week

The Hebrew definition of the word "week," or "weeks," simply means "sevened."

The Greek definition of the word "week" is defined as "Sabbath," i.e. the 7th day (of a seven day period); the day of rest.

The 7th day was established for ALL of mankind back on the 7th Day of Creation (Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 20:8-11, Exodus 34:21, etc. etc.) and was never abolished.

(Mark 2:27-28) "And he said unto them, The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath."

If we believe in the Father and His only begotten Son, then we have Christ in us every day, not just one day per week.

This new understanding is an enhancement of the 7th day, not the abolishing of it. It was made to last forever. This is a day that God BLESSED and SANCTIFIED! Christ always honored the Sabbath. The Apostles kept the Sabbath; look at Acts 13:14, 27, 42, 44, Acts 16:13, etc.

Pentecost is a holy SABBATH day; i.e. a day of rest.

Many use the "first day of the week" spoken of in Acts 20:7, to change the Law of God, but this verse concerns the first Sabbath in reckoning the seven Sabbaths until Pentecost. (i.e. the first day of the Sabbath. Week = Sabbath.

In Acts 17:2 and Acts 18:4, Paul is continually feeding the people Scripture on the SABBATH.

Christ never abolished the Sabbath; neither did Paul.

God never said anything concerning that fact, and if He wanted that day changed, He would have made it abundantly clear.

Have you considered looking at the Dead Sea Scrolls?

The Book of Enoch, in particular, reveals a 364 day solar priestly calendar.

    52 (weeks) x 7 = 364

Look at the first book of Enoch; specifically, ch. 72, and ch. 82 (column 27) are words concerning the ancient solar calendar.

Someone sent this to me so I can not take credit. Sadly few seem to really understand the mission of the Church.

Persecution shall bring revival to the remnant church and separate the wheat from the tares or weeds.

Jesus promised us we would be hated:

Matthew 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

We are warned of Tribulation or Trouble in this world

Acts 14:22 Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

Paul warned us of persecution in 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

    someone sent this to me:

"Everyone is always searching for the"One" sign/event that will trigger Christ's return, yet completely ignore the One thing that is the determining factor of when Christ returns.

It's not about what king or kingdom is doing that is the final event, It's what the Church is like, what the Church is doing.

Jesus is returning for a Bride that has Made Herself READY.....

    A Church Triumphant.

His return is not a rescue mission,

It is a completion of the task He appointed the Church to fulfill and until She does, He will NOT return.

He is coming for a Bride that has made herself ready to be received by her husband, Her gown washed white in His blood, without spot or wrinkle.

The Bride is still not ready, the Great exploits of the Church has not yet occurred because She is still too immature, too busy acting childish. When She matures, then we will see the sings and wonders take place that will bring about the greatest revival in human history. The Latter rain is to be greater then the Former Rain."

Babylon killed the prophets so when you know who killed the prophets you know the identity of mystery Babylon.

.....Revelation 18:24 - And in her (Babylon) was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. babylon was responsible for the BLOOD of PROPHETS.

Revelation 16:6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

Revelation 17:6 - And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

    Mystery Babylon killed the prophets

Jesus speaking Luke 13:33 - Nevertheless I must walk to day, and to morrow, and the day following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem. for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of Jerusalem.

Jesus - Matthew 23:37 - O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, This is Jesus speaking and telling us who killed the prophets.

When did the Lord send prophets to the USA, Mecca or Rome?

Well apostle Paul went to Rome and he was a prophet.

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ

Are you like this all the time? Do you know what it's like to live with someone who counters everything you say or do with 19 scriptures to explain Bob's take on it?

I used to be annoying too because I study all manner of things, like geology, meteorology, archeology, space, earthquakes, active volcanos, weird art.

I'm like a big sponge. I have an outlet for it, tho. My kid knows I do this and he studies stuff too. Lol. We have lively discussions.

I've been a lot happier since I really noticed how Jesus handled crowds, his disciples, his parents, Pharisees. I studied his every move and manner; how he drew on experiences of the crowd to tell his parables. He was righteous inside, but his heart was Mercy. Pharisees and scribes were complete opposite and didn't understand what Jesus was saying or doing, because their minds were rock hard about their "office" or profession. Jesus cares very much about simpler people; teachable people; children.

I was taught in church that people who say BUT a lot are really goats because they were always butting heads with others. Not open to anything not in their file box.

I saw Him or a vision for seconds. What I saw 35 years ago, has never faded. He erased all my knowledge and some memories. When I realized it, I never missed it one bit. All I want to know is Jesus, the Son of God. He has plans for our lives and often we weave in and out of that. If people coming in here, could really grasp who Jesus is; It would totally change their lives. Son of Man. All GOD and all human. He knows the person who lives inside of our soul; mind. We can't hide nothing.

Why not tell people about what Bob knows intimately, about Jesus. Your personal relationship with your Savior. And how they can have it to. Can you explain the Majesty of the Godhead to simple people? Who need Light so they can find Jesus in a dark world that's getting darker? Just think on it. I love you Bob, in Jesus.

That His original Design displayed in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 1 & 2) would once again be restored in the future. What Satan had done to the Earth & to mankind, causing us to spurn God's Love & Fellowship, would no longer occur again as he, with all unbelievers, would be relegated to the Lake of Fire forever. (Revelation 20 & 22).

So God gives each one of us the opportunity now to turn away from sin & hell (2 Peter 3:9) & to be blessed with the joy of forgiveness, with new life now & also in the world to come.

We are very sad to read of the loss of your dear wife, a wonderful Christian lady. Indeed, your earthly loss is Heaven's gain as she would have received an abundant entrance into Heaven: 2 Pet 1:11 "For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ."

It is only according to God's Plan of Love that we were brought into the world & it is the same Plan that sent Jesus, His Son to the Cross for us & yet, that very Plan that will receive His children back into His Presence. Often we forget that each of our lives were thought of & designed before we were physically formed in the womb, and so, if God specifically did that for us & to bring us back to Himself through Jesus, then He will surely fulfil His Plan & Promise to take us back HOME to be with Him forever. This is the assurance & comfort we have from God because He only sees us through His Son. Without Jesus, God can only see unforgiven sinners - with His Son at His Right Hand, each of one us, His blood-bought, are seen as His very own family (Ephesians 3:14-16). Please be assured Gregory, that your wife, who put her faith & love in her Saviour, is presently enjoying the beauty & glory of the One Whom she loved. As even the apostle Paul longed to be in Christ's presence: "For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better" & "if he was absent in the body, he said that he was present with the Lord" (2 Corinthians 5:6-8).

The apostle John wrote much of Eternal Life. I'll give you a few verses that you can go through (the focus is on the assurance we have for eternal life): John 3:16,17; John 10:27-29; John 11:25,26; John 17:2,3; 1 John 2:24,25; 1 John 5:11-13. My prayer is for your comfort & assurance by the Holy Spirit & through meditation upon His Word. May His Presence fill your heart & your life that you will never feel alone but enjoy the sweet fellowship of the Triune God Who will minister to your life.

Arissa, the reference to Isaac's persecution is in Genesis 21:9: "And Sarah saw the son of Hagar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking." We're not told what happened here, though it would no doubt have included about Ishmael's older age to Isaac (Ishmael was in his teens when Isaac was born) & his rights as the firstborn, & that Abraham celebrated Isaac's birth (v 8), whereas Ishmael's birth was a 'non-event'. However, Ishmael was not the son of Promise & was cast away, yet he would become a great nation yet still the enmity goes on between these 'brothers'.

Of course, Muslims with their own interpretation & for their convenience, make Ishmael as the dominant son from Abraham, even to the point of Abraham taking him up to be sacrificed instead of Isaac. So we have many long-standing conflicts that cannot be easily resolved & no doubt it will have a greater bearing as the Anti-Christ comes to the fore.
