I Amos 17, and have a really sinful habit. You could even call it an addiction. How do I stop? I want to serve God and please him but I keep failing him. What do I do I need help.

I agree, but don't let those with a small town mentality bully you off. People like you are welcomed because there is hardly any place left that is safe and respectful for true disciples and new believers to discuss anything without the weedy tares acting territorial
  • New Moon and the Bible - in Reply on Ezekiel 46:1
    David did.

    Colossians Chapter 2

    14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the NEW MOON, or of the sabbath days:

17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

Use the search box to find other new moon scriptures.

Just so you know, satanist's celebrate it so as to pervert anything of the Bible. Be careful what literature you read.

    Genesis 37

The story of Joseph is a great example.

Many with hardened hearts(wicked) in my life

have helped me. However, it was not until later that I could see it.

God allowed wicked people to be in my life. Relationships, bosses, friends, family. Through their wicked and unrighteous ways I felt used, lied to, hurt and deceived. These things, later, brought me closer to God. These things, later, allowed me to understand just how magnificent and loving God truly is. He is the opposite of those things or people.

I never want to fall for, be exposed to or be a part of those wicked people again. The wicked people he allowed in my life brought spiritual growth and faith. God used the wicked to bring me closer to him. To trust under His wings. I also must be forgiving of them but thankful for the lessons and strength I received because of them. I pray for each of those people to turn and be saved. Just as I have been able to have the opportunity to turn from my worldy, wicked ways. My heart was hardened but I opened it fully to God.

We may not understand our trials in fire today but tomorrow, we will praise God for them!

Sometimes we see evil people seem to win while we think we are losing. Their win is for a season. I want my win to be for eternity!

    I hope this helps.

I have a book by Arthur E Bloomfield: title is How To Recognize Antichrist. It's a good source of timing information. His book, Before the Last Battle is a good one too.

It helps with understanding some of the Book of Daniel.

    AbeBooks has older books. Cheap.
  • Ephesians 6 and Cleaning Demons our of the home - in Reply on 1 John 1
That's an "unclean spirit", a demon. They're in the Bible: look it up.

Your job is to bind the Strongman and CAST it into dry places, in Jesus Of Nazareth NAME.

Now get informed about invisible demons in Ephesians 6. Check your house and computer for anything they're using fo a door, to come sneaking back in. Yeah, they search through our secret belongings.

Cast out familiar spirits and unclean spirits.

I found my list of spirits today and will be sharing that little by little.

I play Christian music in the home and the angels love it, and the demons hate it and leave.
  • HABAKKUK - in Reply on Habakkuk 1
he major theme of Habakkuk is trying to grow from a faith of perplexity and doubt to the height of absolute trust in God. Habakkuk addresses his concerns over the fact that God will use the Babylonian empire to execute judgment on Judah for their sins. Habakkuk openly questions the wisdom of God.

This was Habakkuk's first complaint. It seemed to him that God was not answering his prayers to the wickedness and injustice he saw around him. ... Then he decided to make a covenant with the Lord and made sure he and the people would follow the commandments for the rest of his days as king.

Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, and please the widow's cause," (Isaiah 1:17). "He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8)

In the absence of knowing what to do about what is going on around us: we need to go to default settings. The paragraph at the bottom.

God is not always going to explain things through a prophet or pastor. We have to find a similar situation in scripture.

If your Bible does not have Center Page Reference columns (for deeper study); get one. Make sure it has the columns with tiny alphabet letters. Those scriptures in them point to other revelation about what you are studying.

Part of "studying to show yourself approved unto God", means having the right equipment to get the answers you want.

    Verse 2

It was once said this book (bible) will keep you from sin or sin will keep you from this book .

The renewing of our mind with Gods mind through his word is essential.
  • Linda Kemp on Proverbs 15:1
All scripture was written by the inspired by the Holy Spirit , so the Holy Spirit with in you will reveal what the Bible is saying to you . so every time we read his word the spirit reveals something new to you . the Spirit is always teaching Us as long as we are willing to listen to the quiet small voice of the Lord .
  • Bob Grove on Romans 11
This whole chapter is crystal clear , listen to God not men ! He can make you understand, by the spirit of truth , we will know the truth that sets us free .

As apostle Paul said how unsearchable God is , but God can reveal things we Know not if we trust him . By faith we understand .

If God makes a man know shall he not know ?

    Verse 36 Amen !

Psalms 119:9 " Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word."

Spending time in God's word will cleanse you spiritually as well as physically.

I say spiritually first because I know christians with physical ailments that were given these as a cross to bear. Yet many find that God's grace is sufficient for them.

    Hello Marcus,

Some careless bible versions are wrong to say Ira was a priest. No, Ira could not be a priest because he was not a Levite, but it says Abiathar was one of the priests. You weren't reading from the KJV because it will tell you that Ira was the "chief ruler about". That role was like today's Chief of Staff to the President of the USA, or an executive who is able to represent the ruler and give orders on his behalf

  • Myron is correct. In other translations the word is "feverish", "scorched" and "hot" all of which make a lot more sense as a famine would hardly cause your skin to become Black.

In regards to Matthew 5:2728 is it possible to sin in a dream? I personally don't feel I have any control over moral choices within my dreams. For example of someone has a sex-related dream about a specific person they aren't married to should they feel repentant?

    Hello Josephine,

What a good question and discovery from your careful reading! Thanks

There are currently a growing number of cults of young people who falsely claim they are the new "Jews". I don't bother to list & track each one, but to name names one of them calls themselves with the number 19 or 99 in it. Before these, there was a group led by Herbert Amstrong, called the Worldwide Church of God last century. They had a long running TVangelism which probably influenced the current groups when they were kids. They alleged that the USA is the Promised Land and featured in End Times prophecy. Then WCC had internal strive that broke into two or three other groups, one being the Great Church of God. (It amuses me how these cults always have a name that tries to patent their claim on God or Jesus)

Their motives are power, control, and pride, and money, yet they truly believe that they can benefit by claiming all the blessings of Abraham onto themselves. They make half truths and outrageous lies that Yahweh God (they do try to use a bit of what they think are Hebrew words) has long ago cut off the ancient Israelites so that the modern nation of Israel are on their own. The fake Jews also claim they are the true spiritual Israel

It is a gross misreading and distortion of what Saint Paul wrote in Romans 9 & 10. No room for misinterpretation there as Paul explained those chapters well. But the few leaders who create these false claims also see that their claim to uniqueness makes religion exciting to potential suckers who are bored with the mainstream offers

I think maybe you think wrong about the word ransom, you can look it up in Webster's Dictionary from 1828. But some things are hard to understand, we need revelation from God. It's good that you're trying to understand, search and you'll find.

My Comments on Matthew 13 That great parable of the Sower and his Seed which is the multiplication of Christ via his Seed and answers to the Promise that God made to Abraham about Christ being multiplied as the stars of heaven. My mind is set that THIS is the real GOOD NEWS that Christ is gonna multiply his Deity which is the Granson the H.G. N Humanity. the field the world humanity in the hearts of ppl where this super seed is gonna be sown, ya gotta realize the seed is the LIVING WORD the very seed of God, Remember John 1 says the WORD is GOD, Thus Christ is gonna propagate GOD with his Word, this is truly the good news and remember his word is his Breath now that you can understand this you can see the Gransons th STARS of heaven the H.G. PLURAL the Israel of God that is gonna be born in us Sinners ya gota realize the TRINITY is simply FATHER SON AND GRANSON being that the H.G. COMES outa of Jesus seed his words thats y he is saying to whom the word came it made them Gods see which is the very multiplication of God thats y he refers to the H.G. as the PROMISE Jesus cd not refer to the H.G. as the Promise if he were not his offspring the Israel of God,If ya cannot understand Father Son and Grandson how will you understand the nation of Israel.the promise of multiplication was only made to these 3 men, Thats y God told Moses that his name was abraham issac n jacob and my memorial to all generations.God cd not have told Moses this if he were not gonna multiply Jesus just like issac remember issac was offered up just like Christ but Christ actually died. God had an Israel of God in his mind all this time. FATHER SON AND GRANSON IN THE SPRITUAL REALM.ITS GOD THAT WANTS A POSTERITY AND CHRIST WAS JUST HIS 1ST BORN OF MANY BRETHREN and thats the good news Christ is gonna multiply himself in US sinners giving us that new heart N new spirit, That new covenant th WORDS OF THAT NEW COVENANT ARE THE VERY SEEDS OF GOD THUS THAT 3 RD PERSON A HEAVENLY JACOB TH H.G. GRANSON.
