  • Sunday on 2 Kings 1
    The lesson for me in the passage is that;
    1. Humility: the third captain and his fifty humbled themselves before God in the live of elijah, no wonder this time around, the holyspirit spoke to elijah which never happened in the first two cases.
    2. Reverence God:if the king had hold God in high esteem, he would have consulted him first. but this is the problem with most christians, may God help us.

  • Paula on Exodus 24
10 And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.

11 And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.

(They actually saw God, and did eat and drink. They had to prepared themselves to see him, so keep reading and studying.)
  • Stanjett on Exodus 24
????????Why does it say in many other places in the bible that NO ONE has seen God????????
  • Adam on Exodus 24
Great question. Since God is invisible Colossians 1:15 whatever people saw was a physical representation of Him or just his glory Exodus 33:19, but perhaps lacking in his true essence, because to truly see Him, people would die: Exodus 33:20.
  • Paula on Exodus 24
That is letting people know that to see YA aka G D is something that only the pure in heart shall see YA aka G d! If you read verse 1 Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel and worship ye afar off. - they were close enough to see his form and his feet only, it didn't mention his face or features. Matthew 5:8 Blessed ae the pure in heart, for they will see God. I saw him...
  • Ivy Johnson on Isaiah 6
Isaiah’s Vision and Commission! Chapter 6:
In perhaps the most beautiful vision of his life, Isaiah saw God and experience His forgiving power. The prophet was cleansed and commissioned by God to declare to People Gods
Message: The fire(Vss. 6-7) was a symbol of the Cleansing. and lo, this has touched thy lips,
and thine iniquity is taken away: and thy sin purged: Lord do that to me!

  • Joe red rog on Proverbs 16
When one walks upright in the commands of the lord. As Jesus taught obeying the commands of Jesus will make the trinity love you. Then with gods love even enemies will find no fault with you and gods grace will give you peace. It is through obedience that we gain love. And just like others have said coveting a sin will make gods love leave you and can lead to troubles with those involved in the coveting. Coveting can also lead to stealing another sin which can cause further problems. So just like it says obey gods commands and you will be at peace with all. Comment if you agree or disagree. Cheers.
  • LYLE R SHORT on Revelation 20
It has relevant information in it, but the body of Christ has already been taken into heavenly places to be with the Lord forever more than a thousand years before. That exit from the earth is found in the fourth chapter of 1 Thessalonians and elsewhere in the Apostle Paul's epistles.
  • Walter on Revelation 20
If you don't believe this, then what information do you think is "relevant?"
  • Lyle SHORT on Revelation 20
Romans thru Philemon. The church the body of Christ is nowhere in this chapter. Revelation is like Matthew, Mark, Luke, John and the first 8 chapters of Acts. The earthly Jesus himself said that he was not sent, but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. So until Christ revealed the body of Christ to and thru Paul nobody except God knew about it. Then the rest of scripture is also to Israel.
  • Holly Sue Allen on Proverbs 16
I think it means to me that even his enemies will not find a reason to accuse. When your following Gods commands to love God first...your keeping his law which pleases God and his second command to love others covers our right relationship with all those we meet and keeps us from offending by our deeds.
  • Lou on Genesis 1
Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: John 17:5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. John 1:1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.2 The same was in the beginning with God.
    3 All things were made by him;
  • Cathy on Psalms 67

  • George Adjei on Matthew 18
    God is faith.
  • Irene123 I'm sorry sweetie, but you're wrong when you say that Jehovah translates to Jesus. The ONLY references to the name Jehovah in the Bible appear in the old testament before Christ . It is made clear that Jehovah is GOD'S other name. I'll leave them here in case you or anyone else would care to take a look for yourselves. Genesis 22:14, Exodus 6:3, Exodus 17:15, Judges 6:24, Psalms 83:18, Isaiah 12:2, Isaiah 26:4 I pray that everyone has a blessed day. Thank you Lord God for the wonderful gifts which you have so generously bestowed upon my family and I. Everything that I do is done in your name, for you and to glorify your name.
  • Jackilyn Steinke on 2 Corinthians 13
Do not presume to begin your comment by telling someone they are wrong. The chapter shows rangling and disputing and such discussions when in truth? It is God's position to correct someone if they are writing words which go against the truth of God's word. Then you will get off on a discussion of who is more knowledgeable or who has had God use them. Let God correct...and every man a liar.
  • James R. White on Matthew 8
There are so many of us still attempting to explain Spiritual things with carnality thinking. Christ allows us to understand that those who follow him are seeking everlasting life...If we are to follow him we must do it in spirit and truth, putting nothing before him. Releasing the traditions of man to be "And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead Revelation 14:13 KJV
  • Patty Tozi on Matthew 3

  • Cremation is not in the Word of God. You are adding to the Word of God. Where is the Christian testimony? When are we going to draw the line? What's next?
  • James Stone on Philippians 3
What about Christians who were burned at the stake, Christians who drowned at sea, eaten by sharks, lions, burned in a house fire, and a multitude of other ways a person can die and not have a body left behind.
