Does it and if so where in the bible does it say that Mary (Jesus' human mother) without sin?
  • John L QUESTION on Luke 1
    ANY ANSWERS???

God said Adam would die "in that day" Genesis 2:17 that he partook of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but he lived until 930 years old.

God said that the flood of Noah's time would destroy "every living substance" (Genesis 7:4, Genesis 7:23) from the face of the earth," yet the dove sent by Noah plucked an olive leaf from an olive tree after the flood. A tree is a living substance.

If these phrases are taken at face value, would there not be a discrepancy in the Word of God?

Am a 79 year old woman.....As humans we are neither bad or good...the problem with humanity is that we tend to be curious, head strong and actually bossy......But as years pass .....We finally realize,,,that we lean more towards man's ways... Instead of God's way.....it feels like this world has become Godless , like in the days of the flood. God freely gave us a new beginning and again ...man has proven Satan right.....Man is not worthy of God....until we learn to heed the word of God we will never reach that ever lasting happiness......Once man comes to terms that the earth does not belong to man...We are just the keepers...

#1 You say this Corona 19 Virus is not a plague, but it is a deep thorough sifting of the whole world, those that are loving God's presence are sure that God is not looking to kill them. As the Enslaved Jews had to vow their pledge to the living God in putting Lambs Blood on their door mantle which kept the destroyer from killing their first born. That blood represents the nature and word of Jesus that when you have your personal Pentecost experience speaking in heavenly tongues You also are acting IN Christ and God himself now is dwelling in you to finish to sinless perfection the full nature and relationship of Jesus manifesting God from your soul. So if you think to call the Virus not a plague Oh well you may hold to that God is love and yet tornados and storms come but a Perfected Christian like Jesus tells them to cease. But as in Revelations and through this Plague we see God has shut down all public churches for preaching against His and Jesus strange new thing to make us Perfect able to hang with God in our sins until those sins are no more by God's speaking to the believer and thru the reading of the bible and Perfected ministers preaching. But these God told John the Divine do not measure these false Christian churches because they are in the outer court not part of the Kingdom of God because they are saying all NO ONE IS Perfect meaning Jesus died a failure if so God wants to create Christ in each of us. They washed their garments with fullers soap and where wearing white robes meaning no sin nature of Jesus manifesting the Fathers heart mind and presence from their souls. The glory of God.

#2 to believe that Jesus 2nd Coming refers to a time at the end of the Grace Age work of God to make you in Jesus image, sinless Perfect is a one time thing is quite unscriptural Jesus coming in the clouds refers to clouds being Ministers Perfected. Then they preach Perfection in Christ throughout the entire Grace Age starting with the apostles, thus sayeth the Lord

  • Bob Hilt on Ecclesiasticus 23:18
what is this BCE / CE vs BC or AD nonsense?

BC stands for Before Christ and AD means Anno Domino or year of our LORD

BCE means Before COMMON ERA as if the birth of Christ was common or vulgar.

    CE means COMMON ERA.

From wickedpedia: "The term "Common Era" can be found in English as early as 1708,[7] and became more widely used in the mid-19th century by Jewish religious scholars. In the later 20th century, the use of CE and BCE was popularized in academic and scientific publications as a culturally neutral term. It is also used by some authors and publishers who wish to emphasize sensitivity to non-Christians by not explicitly referencing Jesus as "Christ" and Dominus ("Lord") through use of the abbreviation[c] "AD"

Basically using BCE and CE is a DENIAL OF JESUS.

    Anthony,

This would be committing murder with the intent to do so. The word kill in thou shalt not kill is the word murder. There is a difference. If someone breaks into your home in the middle of the night, you have the right to defend yourself and your family. God forbid that ever happen, but in that case, your motive would not be to commit murder but to defend your family. It is the same for those who fight in a war. A person should never enlist in the military if their motive is to go out and kill people. That is what I told my son right before he went into the Marine Corp. I myself am also a 22-year military veteran. If that is their motive, then in their heart that would be considered murder. We see many places in the Old Testament where God sent armies of one nation to go in and wipe out another. God would not say thou shalt not kill and then turn around and command people to kill. You see, it's the motive of the heart. We are not to commit murder out from an evil heart and intent to do so. I hope this makes some sense.

Original sin is a Bible doctrine, not just Augustine.

Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

    Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Yet ALL does not mean ALL with one exception

Hebrews Chapter 4:14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession.

15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin. WITHOUT SIN Jesus

16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
  • Bob Hilt - in Reply on Matthew 4:7
Anthony, Good question. We are not to murder, we are allowed to protect our family. I mean really when someone breaks into the house to rape your daughter and murder the family are going to say GOD BLESS YOU?

Exodus 22:2 If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him.

If a thief (you do not know why he is there, maybe to kill) is struck and killed you are guiltless.

Jesus in Luke 22:36 Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Why did Jesus tell his disciples to buy a sword? Not to murder, rather to protect themselves and family.

1 Timothy 5:8 But if any PROVIDE provide NOT not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. (provide what? Food, shelter, clothing and PROTECTION)

So in summary, there was only 3 1/2 years left after Jesus died in the 490 year timeline. Question is, was it fulfilled in

    1. Stephens' death (there is no way to prove historically or Biblically that Stephen was killed an exact 3 1/2 years after Jesus. But I am open to this idea.

    2. This is my take. The Great Revolt War that lasted 3 1/2 years from the fall of 66 AD to the spring of 70 AD; the Stay of Execution extra 40 years. 40 means trials and temptations in the Bible. even the demonic Jooish Talmud admits to the scarlet wool never turning white again from 40 years before the destruction of Jerusalam in Yoma 39b. This was a supernatural sign that God did after the Day of atonement. It never happened again after Jesus' death. This proves the abominationS in Daniel 9:27 has to be what the killing of animals again, not what ONE man way in the future was going to do. Even building a third temple is an abomination. See what God did to this attempt in 363 AD. I fear so many Christians are heading for major judgment for sending money to have this done.

    3. A way in the future 3 1/2 years. The new testament does talk about a 3 1/2 year period of tribulation in the future. Question is, is it a totally different 3 1/2 years than the 3 1/2 years that was left after Jesus' death?

I hold to #2 as it fits perfectly with Daniel 9:24-27. I hold to a 40 year gap from 486 1/2 years to the 490 years because the passage not only talks about the death of the Messiah but also the destruction of Jerusalem so it keeps with the context of the passage.

Great Tribulation coming upon the whole church will be 3 1/2 years as far as the persecution upon the entire church goes as many int he world have been under great tribulation since day one of being saved. Then God's wrath will be poured out with the plagues. Then Jesus the Son's wrath will be poured out at His return right after we are taking up.

    How I see it.

    PART 2:

    c. All the things Jesus said in Matthew 20 thru 24 1/2 were fulfilled.

    d. almost every single pre-1830 commentary I have read said this 'he' was Jesus or in John Gill's case, the Roman Army but Gill is off because they would have used the word 'they' (plural) instead of 'he' (singular) if it was more than one person. No references I could find up to date that teaches this 'he' is a future antichrist. It doesn't even make sense unless all grammar is thrown out. Check out what an antecedent is in grammar.

    e. to turn abominationS (plural) in verse 27 into abomination (singular) is messing with God's Word. So what did the hierarchy of the religious leaders do after Jesus was crucified? they began animal sacrifice again thus mocking Jesus' death. This is the worst kind of abomination one can do, much worse than killing a pig on the altar as Antiochus Epiphanes did in 160 BC.

These miracles done by our Lord are recorded in part to encourage us when we face some hardship. When my baby sister died, my parents suffered greatly. Many years later, my next younger sister died. We suffered but in all we found God's grace to be more than sufficient. The unsaved look on to see how we handle hardship. If we grow in our faith in the midst of these trials, the unsaved will have an improved outlook on what the Christian life is all about.

    replying to your comment brother:

    2. Re: Daniel 9:26,27. I think I'm reading correctly from your comment that it is Jesus that is seen in this passage. We see the Messiah cut off (v26) & then "the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city". Are you seeing Jesus here as well? Then who are the "people of Jesus (the prince)" that shall come to destroy? You said that "this has nothing to do with a future anti-Christ". And if v27 refers to Jesus, doesn't this aspect of 'confirming the covenant' resemble anti-Christ's plan to go against Israel & introduce his own abominations to desecrate the Temple?

    1. Daniel 9:26) the people of the prince to come = General Titus of the Roman army. Titus historically became a prince over night when his father Vespasian was called back to Rome by the Roman Senate to become the new king (Caesar) and he was left in charge of the 66 AD to 70 AD siege of Jerusalem. This prince was not Jesus. Why did Daniel interject this prince into the passage? If it had not, all the things Jesus said in Matthew chapters 20, 21, 22 and 23 would not make much sense. I call the time period between Jesus' crucifixion and the destruction of Jerusalem (40 years) and extended time of the 490 year timeline and call it a Stay of Execution where God was giving those who rejected Jesus as the Messiah another chance with a total of 530 years from the beginning of the timeline.

    2. If you read verse 26's AFTER, you find that the 'he' in verse 27 is talking about the Prince with a capital P. and thta Jesus died in the middle of the 70th week.

    a. the first 49 years (7 weeks) were already fulfilled and then the next 434 years (62 weeks) so we are already into the 70th week without Messiah being cut off yet. So this 'he' has to be the Messiah.

    b. Jesus made an end of the animal sacrifices proving further he was the 'he'.

It's not a narrative, but literally what the Bible says is what most Christians believe. Romans 5:12, 1 John 1:8-10, Romans 3:23, Romans 7:18.

Why do you assume Christians have a narrative? Do you believe the Bible?
  • John L QUESTION ON 10 COMMANDMENTS on Matthew 4:7
There are two sets of Ten Commandments. Exodus 20:1-17 and Exodus 34:10-28.

TWICE Moses went upon the mountain and did not eat or drink for 40 days!

The 10 Commandments of Exodus 34:10-28 are specifically referred to as "the ten commandments" (Exodus 34:28, Deuteronomy 4:13, 10:4)

There are differences in the two sets of Commandments. Which set are we to follow? Are we to combine them?

Original Sin... Original sin is an Augustine Christian doctrine that says that everyone is born sinful. This means that they are born with a built-in urge to do bad things and to disobey God.

Hasn't the West not changed the Christian narrative?

  • Chris - in Reply on Genesis 10
Robert, your comment appeared in a new thread, so wasn't able to reference the original. Anyway, I'll try to comment at face value at what you've written here.

    1. I believe in a Pre-Trib Rapture, believing that God's Wrath upon the Earth is directed solely to those deserving it (those living in wickedness & rejecting Christ). If (true) believers are also subject to that Wrath, then one has to wonder why we have to be judged for our sins again. I know we suffer tribulation throughout our earthly lives (as even Jesus warned), but we are dealing with a special occasion of God's Anger upon all godless.

    2. Re: Daniel 9:26,27. I think I'm reading correctly from your comment that it is Jesus that is seen in this passage. 3. I understand your typology of Egypt & Israelites living there in spite of the plagues. However, is this a correct analogy? In the case of Egypt, they indeed suffered with the various plagues, but they continued on as a nation, except for the loss of some life & death of their first born children & animals. It was indeed God's Wrath but Pharaoh finally relented. The picture of the loss of life & destruction of the land bears little resemblance to what the Great Tribulation will accomplish in the future. I liken it to resembling the full devastation of the Flood or of Sodom & Gomorrah where all life was annihilated except for those righteous ones.

I just want to mention that a sizable earthquake happened Saturday night right after President Trump left the campaign stage in Tulsa. People in the city reported feeling it. You can Google that.

I lived there 3 years. I think a lot of Christians went to church prayerful today?

It was wrong for rioters to hang out and act like traitors and thugs at a campaign speech. I'm sure cameras were rolling during the 4.2 quake. Wonder if national news reported it ?

Read the signs of the times. The Spirit of Antichrist Is all over this election. Too much chaos going on; and we know who the origin of Chaos is... need I say his name?

If you have a King James Version Bible WITH the center of the page reference columns; which reference to other Bible passages, BETWEEN Genesis verse 1 and 2,

You will begin to see a more complete explanation of Pre-Adam.

Satan was turned into a serpent.

The 1/3 of the created angels were thrown out of Heaven too. They had bodies at that time, which is how they "inter married" with the descendants of Adam (Not Seth).

All that happened after verse 1-2. It's a very intricate study. The column references in each location you go to, refer to others.

I'm going to flip on ahead and say after the flood, the evil angels died of drowning and lost their bodies. They now prowl the earth as demons; millions or billions, I don't know. They are called INHABITANTS in the scriptures.

I think Jesus is coming back real soon, so I don't think there's time to tear through Genesis many more times. I keep telling myself what does that have to do with being saved and born again? It's all in scripture.

Note: the earth is not thousands of years old; science has discovered differently. It's millions or even older.

Stay focused on New Jerusalem. That's our future. Signs of the Times, as Jesus said: Matthew 24.

I will say for the 32nd time, there are people in the prayer request room who need prayer. We don't get Crowns for weariness of much study.
  • Mishael on the Son of Man - in Reply on Ecclesiasticus 23:18
When Jesus began his Ministry he called himself, THE SON OF MAN.

His blood HAD to be pure from all sin. Mary was overshadowed by the Holy Spirit (who is Spirit and invisible). Jesus's blood was NOT connected to Mary's blood supply. The spark of life began to grow, by the power of God.

Even tho Mary was married to Joseph, they did not have marital relations till after Jesus's birth. That's scripture.

You can Google ancestry charts on Mary and Joseph; which is very interesting! Both were descended from King David. Jesus had "half" brothers and sisters. No connection by blood or "DNA".

In order to be The Lamb of God, he had to be pure from sin running through bloodlines; he had to live daily without committing any sin, for 33 years.

The Son of Man hung on the Cross as the perfect, sinless; without spot or wrinkle; Lamb of God. After he died, the HUGE Room-sized veil in the Temple was torn from top to bottom. Not bottom to top.

That was Him saying the Old Covenant was replaced by the New Covenant.

Who is this Son of Man who gave himself fully for mankind? He never sinned. We can trust Him with our souls. He wants to be our Lord. Through Him, anybody can be saved; born again. John chapter 3.
  • Wesley Smith - in Reply on Mark 4
Great point. Might I also add that Jesus during his ministry not only proved who he was to a darken world, but also sought to prove to those he held close in teaching that as he was obedient to the Word of His Father so they needed to do likewise. He mentioned time and again that he did as his father commanded. RHe spoke the words of faith not wavering. And this act in calming the storm was another example to his deciles that if they SPOKE the words in faith not wavering then whatsoever the commanded would be accomplished.

His example lead him to allow the decouples to realize that if the spoke as hi did then the act he did they would also do & more due tho his return to his father.

    Thank you

    Moses. Authorship, language, texts

Rabbinic tradition ascribes it to Moses, but scholars generally agree that it was written between the 7th and 4th centuries BCE, with the 6th century BCE, as the most likely period for various reasons.

It's no fairytale. None of that anywhere in the Bible. You must be born again to SEE The Kingdom of God.

Here is some scriptures to pencil in on the back page of your Bible:

    John 14:26

    John 15:26

    John 16:7

    John 14:6 Lamentations 1:16

Teacher, Advocate, Helper. Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Jesus. The Greek word is: paracletos (one who comes alongside to Help)

The thing some people miss is that the Holy Spirit is always close by. Even tho he's a Spirit with no visible body...trust me, He is beside you. Talk to Him. Study with Him. Be aware of His presence.

It's hard, but don't grieve him or quench Him. He is God, the Holy Spirit. He loves you more than anyone else you've ever known.

Sing to Him and soon you will hear His song singing in your heart. Anything that hurts in you, will be healed.

Luke 4;18-19 (Isaiah 61:1). Jesus speaking about the Spirit of the Lord.

Gifts and ministries of the Holy Spirit, that He imparts as He wills. 1 Corinthians 12:31

One thing was hard for me to learn: walk beside the Holy Spirit, and don't run ahead of Him. :)

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord....

A LOT of wisdom is given in Proverbs. Also, David was a man after Gods own heart. It's good to study WHY.
  • Mishael - in Reply on Revelation 12:9
Yes. Our soul and spirit ascend to God at death immediately. At the rapture (caught up in the clouds), our former bodies are transformed into the spiritual body; and joined with spirit.

Another scripture spoken by God: says ALL souls belong to me.

Check out those scriptures: healthy bodies, no sickness, no corruption.

Give praise to Jesus, who purchased us with His holy blood.
