    Mishael,

I do understand that Joseph is related by blood to David but that has nothing to do with Jesus since Joseph was only a step father, no blood relationship. I also understand that a baby has his father's blood. That is the original point of my question. The only blood is this birth is from the mother, Mary. The father is our Father, God Almighty and his spirit came upon Mary to conceive Jesus as scripture says. So, the lineage of Joseph is immaterial. God's Spirit is the father and Mary's blood is necessary for Jesus to be blood lined to David. But there is no mention in scripture of Mary's bloodline. I guess I have to accept that the lineage told in Luke for some reason just does not mention Mary and we are to only assume it is Mary's.
  • Sunday Levinus Alaka on Psalms 25:5
Lead me in thy truth - In the way which thou regardest as truth, or which thou seest to be true. Truth is eternal and unchanging. What God sees and regards as truth is true, because he sees things as they are; and when we have the divine estimate of anything, we understand what the thing is. It is not that he makes it to be true, but that he sees it to be true. Such is the perfection of His nature that we have the utmost assurance that what God regards as truth is truth; what He proclaims to be right is right. It is then His truth, as He adopts it for the rule of His own conduct, and makes it known to His creatures to guide them.

And teach me - Since this would be understood by the psalmist, it would be a prayer that God would teach him by His law as then made known; by His Spirit in the heart; by the dispensations of His providence. As applicable to us, it is a prayer that He would instruct us by all the truths then made known, and all that have since been revealed; by His Spirit in its influences on our hearts; by the events which are occurring around us; by the "accumulated" truth of ages; the knowledge which by all the methods He employs He has imparted to people for their guidance and direction.

For thou art the God of my salvation - The word "salvation" is not to be understood here in the sense in which it is now commonly used, as denoting deliverance from sin and future ruin, but in the more general sense of "deliverance" - deliverance from danger and death. The phrase is synonymous with "preservation," and the idea is that the psalmist regarded God as his preserver; or that he owed his protection and safety in the time of danger to Him alone.

On thee do I wait - That is, I rely on Thee; or, I am dependent on Thee. He had no other source of reliance or dependence.

All the day - Continually, always. He was really dependent upon Him at all times, and he felt that dependence. It is always true that we are dependent upon God for everything.

  • Comments about that 3 rd Heaven Paul saw. 1st of all that 3 rd heaven is in humanity as Jesus said the tabernacle of God is with man, and i will dwell in them and have my being in them and i will be their GOD they shall be MY PPL ETC,And if any man ( humanity ) hears my words and keeps them MY FATHER and i will come and take our abode with him thus that 3rd heaven is within mankind, abide in me and i in you But it was unlawfull to speak this in the o.t. as God was in the ark of the covenant in the most holy place not with in the levitical priesthood. the ark was the 1st heaven, the 2 nd being in the tabernacle that Solomon built. But Solomon said the heavens cannot contain thee , How must less this tabernacle that i have built ,But the 3 rd heaven is in mankind thats y he refers to himself as the Son of MAN. Jesus said not here nor there but with in you. The Tabernacle of God is with man and he shall abide with them and be their GOD ETC Thus the 3rd heaven is God /Christ in you the hope of glory, Remember Revelation 11: 15 the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our lord and his Christ. This is the final and the 3 rd heaven God Almighty living with in his ppl .via the NEW BIRTH. THE Tabernacle of God is with man. He dwelleth with you but shall be within you. Alex,

The legal term for adoption can be found in Luke 3:23. The term "as was supposed" is defined as "as reckoned by law / "to lay down a thing as law" / "to hold by custom, or usage." This is the legal term used for adoption.

The father of Joseph is Jacob, as can be seen from Matthew 1:16.

The father of Mary is Heli, as can be seen from Luke 3:23.

The lineage of Jesus goes from Mary, through David, through Adam, to God Himself.

The birth of the Savior of the world was promised long before prophecy of David came into light. (Genesis 3:15). The birth of this One will defeat death itself.

James 2:24 Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. 24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

Comments about the Godhead which is Father Son and GRANSON that is gonna result in an Israel of God a heavenly nation that is gonna be born in US. A lil one is gonna become a 1000 AND A SMALL ONE A STRONG NATION I the LORD will hasten it in its Time,Thats y jesus refers to the H.G AS THE PROMISE he is truly the Granson the beginning of an Israel of God The result of that good seed the Word the seed of God, our new heart and new spirit our new innerman which is the H.G.Being born again of an incorruptible seed etc even by the word of God,Just as Solomon came out of the loins of David,Solomon means Comforter in hebrew. Bathsheba was comforted at the birth of Solomon. In the spirit the H.G. comes out of Christ loins ( his Word was his breath ) the good seed that PRODUCES A BIRTH OF CHRIST IN US the new birth. The H.G. can only come via his seed the Word.At pentacost the H.G fell on them that heard his Word initiating a birth of Christ in them. Thus the H.G is truly the granson an Israel of God simply b/c Christ is the sower of that good seed the Word which makes Christ the FATHER OF THE H.G.Thats y isaiah calls Christ everlasting father he is the father of the H.G. A BABY Christ remember what jesus said unless you receive the Kingdom as a lil child you will in no wise enter there in.Isaiah says there shall come a rod a (child) outta of the stem of Jesse/ David, CHRIST JESUS was that Child that came outta of God Almighty AND THE H.G is the Branch that comes out of Christ LOINS HIS WORDS ETC HIS BREATH .Remember Jesse David and Solomon was father son and grandson. Also Abraham Issac and Jacob was father son and granson the begining of the nation of natural ISRAEL and GOD tells Moses that his name was Abraham Issac and Jacob that is my name FOREVER and my memorial to ALL GENERATIONS God could not say that if his Kingdom were not a trinity of Father Son and Granson AN Israel of GOD that is coming soon when the woman gives birth to the manchild which is the H.G. • Mishael on Fools - in Reply on Mark 7
I think the word you wrote is misspelled.

The Bible has much to say about fools. The word fool today usually means "a senseless fellow, a bad character. The biblical definition has the added dimension of "someone who disregards God's Word."

The Bible lists many characteristics of such a person, often contrasting him with one who is wise. Ecclesiastes 10:2 says, "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the FOOL to the left."

A fool is one whose wayward heart turns continually toward foolishness. "Fools speak foolishness and make evil plans" (Isaiah 32:6).

Proverbs 26:11 says, "As a dog returns to its vomit, so fools repeat their folly."

Fools do not learn their lessons from the mistakes they make. They continue doing the same foolish things over and over again, to their own destruction (Proverbs 18:7).

The following is a partial list of some characteristics of a fool from the BOOK OF

    PROVERBS:

    A fool hates knowledge (1:22)

Takes no pleasure in understanding (18:2)

    Enjoys wicked schemes (Proverbs 10:23)

    Proclaims folly (Proverbs 12:23)

    Spurns a parent's discipline (15:5)

Speaks perversity (19:1), is quick-tempered (12:16), gets himself in trouble with his proud speech (14:3) mocks at sin (14:9), is deceitful (14:8)

Despises his mother (15:20). A foolish child brings grief to his or her parents (17:25; 19:13)

A foolish man commits sexual immorality (6:32; 7:7-12)

A foolish woman tears down her own house (14:1).

(The worst of all). Psalms 14:1

The fool hath said in his heart, THERE IS NO GOD. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works; there is none that does good.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to look that up.

I preach against abortion frequently. I tried to appeal to our greedy sides: that America is aborting FUTURE taxpayers that would be alive, educated, earning income and paying taxes; so that those of us that bought into that silly dream; could retire and eat.

It might have worked except people are having their futures scraped out. Many years ago a friend admitted she had 6 previous abortions and asked me to give her a ride to get #7 !! I begged her to let me adopt her child! She refused me, so I refused her. Broke my heart. I wept before the Lord till I ran dry. I asked Him when He would stop the murders? I'm crying again.

He said He would take care of it. I'm looking...but people don't seem to care.

No legislation passes Congress. They will have to give an account for it someday.

I preached that all those little babies are in heaven NOW. Anyone who ever had an abortion, will see their child with their Heavenly Father. It's the only peace I have concerning this.

Please keep letting people know what their babies bodies were used for.

MY COMPLETION ON LEITICVUS: This was the way that God sanctified or separated His people making them holy people, for He is Holy. This would continue to make a distinction between them and the world, at that time, and above all to give Him glory. Everyone knew them because of God's grace and mercy He gave to the Israelites. In their obedience, which they had t6o be, would bring them blessings. They were to remain unspotted from the world, as we should, today. This is why it is written, for our admonition/learning. Of course, these things changed after Jesus came on the scene and gave His life for us. AS Psalms 118,8 says, "It is better to trust God than to put your confidence in man.

Adeleye, we generally understand that Paul was referring to himself when he described this vision & revelation given to him. The reason that he speaks this way was probably because of the sights & sounds that were open to him & what he shared in his letter might cause his readers to think of him as more superior to others (vv 5,6). So to counteract that sense of superiority, he's diverting their attention off himself & speaking in the 'third' person. In fact, just so that he wouldn't sense any personal superiority & fall into sin, the Lord had given him a 'thorn in the flesh' to keep him humble (v7).

The "third Heaven" being referred to is Heaven, the place of God's abode. The first heaven being the sky & the second being the universe of planets & stars. So Paul is saying that the Lord gave him the privilege of looking into God's Abode with all the angelic host & what he heard & saw was unutterable to mankind because of its glory & splendour.

After all the plagues you would think he'd know Moses's God was doing it.

He was raised Egyptian and he only worshipped Egyptian gods. His gods couldn't bring his son back to life.

First thing God Created was Time. He set a clock in motion for people, animals, everything. God lives outside of time and inside of time.

He's the Alpha and the Omega: the beginning, and the end.

He doesn't chart our lives or our choices. He gave us a free will regarding choices.

As you can see with the plagues presented to Pharaoh; God was at work in Pharaohs will to help him change his mind. But he was greedy and wanted free labor forever.

God knew which way Pharaoh was going to choose.

He knows which way we're all going to choose. Look up reprobate. Some people just will not choose To seek God: no matter how many times God reaches out to them within their wills.

Satan is the bigshot I WILL in the world. That's his speech for everything.

So do we sometimes: I will do what I wanna do no matter who I hurt!! Ever heard that fly out of your mouth? I hope not.

God wants us to choose Jesus. It's out there. The good news. Question is... are we going to accept the free Gift of God?

    Have you?
  • Portia Kirkland on Leviticus 21
Ther is so much that can be expounded upon. it would take over the number of characters, so I will try to make it simple. All of what we have read are God's laws, judgments, ordinances, statutes, and commandments for the Israelites in those days. Altogether, these terms, being used interchangeably, were for the people of God to be obedient in keeping them. These things were a type of rituals to be performed as God had instructed them, including the strangers among them. The cleansings were not baths like what we do today to be lean. Nor were any of His ordinances or statues were to be taken literally. They were ceremonial and definitely spiritual, and holy. See my next completion.

People have made charts of Jesus's genealogy through Mary

And Joseph too even though he was a step father. No blood connection. He was however a descendant of King David.

A baby always has its fathers blood type.

The only connection to the mother is for sustenance.

That's how Jesus's blood was SINLESS. That's why His blood is so Powerful.

  • Mishael on Pharaohs Hard Heart - in Reply on Exodus 7
You need to read more slow, Exodus 1 through to chapter 11 & 12.

The children of Israel were slaves to Egypt for 400 years: subject to starvation often and body breaking work to build Pharaohs cities, monuments, etc.

Pharaoh had all male newborns killed to control Jewish numbers. Was that fair?

They finally seriously started crying out to God to deliver them! Don't feel sorry for Pharaoh. The story inExodus is different from Hollywood's Version.

God knew Pharaoh was not going to let them go, so He alerted Moses to prepare for Passover, and spread lambs blood over the door mantles and celebrate the first Passover meal.

The last plague was When God sent the Destroyer through Egypt and all firstborn of Egyptians fell dead; even Pharaohs son.

There was no more haggling about herds and cows for sacrifices; Pharaoh told Moses to take everything and get out!

The children of Israel leave, but then Pharaoh chases them to the Red Sea to slaughter them.

I think Pharaoh had every chance to change his mind.

God is at work within human wills to see the sheer miracle of earths creation to understand that none of this crawled out of the water onto land and walked until it evolved into humans. Romans 1 says clearly that we are able to understand that Someone made all of this! It says we are without excuse if we don't see it. Then we become: WITHOUT EXCUSE. Like Pharaoh we are left alone with our decision to oppose ourselves, and God.

Some people just aren't going to be saved.

Only people who can see God in his Creation, and accept the Creator of that creation; will respond to His Word, The Holy Bible, and the people who carry the Good News that Jesus Christ was born, lived a sinless life; was crucified for the sins of all mankind; was in the tomb 3 days and was Resurrected on that 3rd day, Victorious over

    Death, Hell and the Grave!!

We can trust Jesus in all things pertaining to Life.

Ness, it's true that the apostle Paul was called to preach the Gospel & teach the Gentiles (Romans 11:13, 1 Timothy 1:7, 2 Timothy 1:11).

To "rightly divide the Word" essentially means that when we consider a verse, or a portion of Scripture, we should examine it further to make sure that our initial understanding of it aligns with what the other relevant Scriptures in the Bible also tell us about it. There are of course other aspects to the meaning of this phrase, but basically God requires us to handle His Word correctly, & that can only come by the Holy Spirit's guidance & knowledge of the Word. That is why a believer needs to read the whole Word of God & not just 'favourite' Books of the Bible.

True, a lot of the Old Testament was written about matters affecting the Jewish heritage & their position before God, but they are not to be avoided by Christians for "ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3:16,17). We get immense benefit in knowing & understanding the whole Old Testament for that is how we learn of Israel's history & more importantly, about the God Whom we serve. And after all, when we love someone, don't we want to know as much about that person as we can? So it should be our constant desire to know God our Father, Jesus His Son & His Spirit as much as we are able from the Scriptures & what He reveals to us in our daily experiences that causes us to love Him more & grow in our faith.

When you enter this website, use the search box on top and type in TONGUES. The engine will pull up ALL scriptures pertaining to tongues. I would click on the New Testament only, for this word.

The Holy Spirit is your Teacher. He helps us understand Biblical truths.

The gift of speaking in tongues that continues throughout church history and is so widespread today is the Holy Spirit-prompted ability to pray and praise God in a heavenly dialect, possibly even an angelic language that is not related to anything spoken on earth such as German or Swahili or Mandarin or English. The Holy Spirit personally crafts or creates a special and unique language that enables a Christian to speak to God in prayer, praise, and thanksgiving. This gift is not a human language that one might encounter in some foreign country, but a Spirit-empowered capacity to speak meaningful words that are only understood by the Godhead: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (unless, of course, God provides the interpretation through the one speaking or through another believer.

The more you learn about the Holy Spirit's ministry to you, the more you will desire all that He has purposed for you. 1 Corinthians 12, teaches about all the gifts

(for believers). He knows where you are in your walk with God, and He will wait until you understand and desire His gifts. You should talk to Him and ask Him any questions about what you are learning through scripture. He responds to us through OUR inner spirit, where He indwells. His is the still small voice.

If you ever hear something that frightens you; that's the devil trying to prevent you from following Jesus. Just say: I rebuke you, satan, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth! Get thee hence.

If you'll scroll under the Search Box you'll see the Commentary Box; of Bible Teachers commentaries on that verse. Use the back arrow to get back to the Search box area.

    Hope this helps.

  • Alex on 2 Samuel 13:20
Dear Brother or Sister in Christ,

I am still not satisfied with the answers given for Jesus' lineage. It is critical that Jesus be a descendant of David to fulfill the prophesy that David's son will be the ruler of the kingdom. If we use the lineage given in Matthew it connects David by blood down to Joseph which has nothing to do with Jesus' bloodline. At best Joseph is Jesus' step father, a non-blood. There is no mention that Joseph legally adopted Jesus as his son. Jesus has no blood relation or legal relation (recorded) to Joseph. And, after the story of Jesus disappearing for 3-4 days at the age of 12, after the festival of Passover in Jerusalem, Joseph is never mentioned again. He is a truly insignificant figure in Jesus' life. Whereas, his mother Mary is mentioned a number of times even at his crucifixion in John 19:26. Unfortunately, the lineage in Luke is "assumed" to be that of Mary's but not stated. For Jesus to be a blood relative of David it is important to know not assume this to be the case. In the past years, this has not been important but has become so since this is a key prophecy and fulfillment of God's covenant. The best I can come to is Jesus was a man/God and was a Spiritual son/Lord of David and of God, the Almighty.

    Respectfully,

    Alex

Just curious why you believe the antichrists are Israel?

Revelation 3:9 "Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee."

1 John 2:22 - Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. (ALL Jews deny Jesus and that makes them antichrist, if they believed in Jesus then they would be CHRISTIANS. IF you do not believe me call any Synagogue and ask the Rabbi or them if Jesus is the Messiah.)

1 John 2:23 - Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

If Jews do not accept Jesus as messiah, then who is their messiah?

1 Corinthians 16:22 - If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema (CURSED) Maranatha.

DO JEWS LOVE JESUS OR ARE THEY CURSED?

Please explain how these get saved without Jesus? I am curious
