Debra, no the Bible doesn't say anything about those numbers you've listed, except for the number you missed: 666. This is found in Revelation 13:18 referring to the number of Man, which relates to the mark of the coming Anti-Christ.

However, thinking further on your plight, I also have something similar happening to me. However, mine is a medical matter with the eyes which I've had since I was a kid: whenever I look at the sky or the ceiling in a room, I see black spots of different shapes & sizes & they all continuously move around. I asked my optometrist about this, & she called them 'floaters', & some people have them. Maybe you need to make an appointment with one to check your eyes for this, as well as your peripheral vision, glaucoma, macula degeneration, etc. & rule out this phenomenon. But I don't see any numbers - that sounds a little weird.

As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

In other words one can still look to be desirable and yet repulsive/unattractive at the same time.

    - A jewel of gold is desirable but it is in a pigs snout, yack!

    - A fair woman is desirable, but lacks discretion, yack!

    1. Acts 2: 38 Repent and believe on Jesus for forgiveness of past sin. Romans 3:25

James 1: 14, 15 tells us where sin begins; 1 John 3:4 tells us what sin is, it is the transgression (breaking( of the law.

    2. I would like to point out in the old sacrificial system, that on the day of atonement there were 3 things at a minimum that had to be present in order to complete the atonement on the great day of atonement; a sacrifice ;the sanctuary; the High Priest.

I would like to point out that in Romans 5:11 ...God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement." does not say the Atonement was full or complete.

Many times it is the case that words have more than 1 meaning and it is the case here as well. While it is possible that it could mean Atonement in the fullest sense of the word which would mean full and complete; it also could mean sacrifice; as in the sacrifice was full; the sacrifice of Jesus was perfect, there was no need of another sacrifice ever because His was all sufficient. Was there an example in the past where someone received atonement; yet it was not the Day of Atonement yet? Many in Leviticus; here is one: Leviticus 5:10 The word atonement was used for purification also Exodus 29:37.

But in regard to forgiveness and how Jesus blood was applied to our account to forgive our sin; only 1 of the 3 things neccesary were present because there was no True High Priest on earth; the earthly system had been done away with when Jesus died on the cross; Jesus was not a High Priest when on earth Hebrews 8: 4.

The sanctuary on Earth was but a copy of the real one in Heaven Hebrews 9:1; Exodus 15:17.

Why did Jesus go to heaven immediately upon resurection? John 20: 17 Tells us the he went, but why?

To apply his literal blood to the real temple in Heaven, just as Moses sanctified the Sanctuary in the OT; Leviticus 4 :6; 8: 24 Read all of Leviticus 8 and see how the service of the Sanctuary was purified for service as well as the priests.

Olivia, I believe you're referring to a comment initiated by Maryann a couple of months ago. If that is the case, I was addressing the matter of non-violence & non-retaliation, as prescribed in God's Word. Take time to read the following Scriptures: Matthew 5:38-44; Luke 6:27-38; and Romans 12:14-21.

So, these portions of Scripture tell us how Christians are to behave or respond when trouble comes our way. However, we should do all in our power to protect ourselves, our children & our property from wicked perpetrators. But what the Bible teaches is that we must not go on the attack, or repay evil with evil, or in any way do what Christ would not do. The only ones empowered by God to pronounce judgement & give out a penalty is the government. Often even they don't administer it correctly, but that is another matter.

Maybe your question is: "then how can we protect ourselves?" Are we talking about the authorities under instruction from an anti-Christian govt. coming to take you & your children because of your faith? Then I doubt neither you nor I could do much at all given their position & strength. We need to submit & trust God for the outcome. Or else, what would be your plans to oppose them? Using a gun? How far would that get you against the police or army?

But if you're thinking of a criminal breaking into your house or accosting you on the street, then you are authorized by law to protect yourself, but restricted by the amount of force used. Then again, how does one know what crime is intended to be committed? Does any of this help you, or have I missed your point?
  • Chris - in Reply on Genesis 10
Hi Robert, good to catch up again. I fully realize that we all have many commitments so wasn't expecting any responses, though I had thought about you in the interim & trusted the Lord that you were well. So thanks for the added comments & no, I haven't heard of David Wood - will check him out.

I'm sure you too have many great stories to tell in your encounters with those of other faiths. And all these are not to bring us into the limelight, but all praise to the Lord Who superintends our ways.

I remember at one time in Karachi, Pakistan, my team were out on our daily book sales & tract distribution to Muslims. I wasn't having a good day, so thought to try for a sale at a bookshop. The owner was so interested in my literature, he bought my whole shoulder bag full of books & tracts! So, I went back to the team empty-handed & with praise for what the Lord had done. But, the Lord's Ways were beyond my limited sight at that time. On my way back from that sale, I turned around for some reason & noticed that that wasn't an ordinary bookshop, but was one attached to a Mosque & the central point for the sale of Islamic literature. Had I been aware of this fact, I would have quickly retreated, but the Lord had other plans for me & them. So, the Lord in His Providence had directed me to a Mosque to sell Christian books, they bought everything, they then sold those books unknowingly to other Muslims responding to the call for prayer (i.e. they helped in getting out the Word when I couldn't), & there may well be lost souls now finding the Saviour's Love. Jeremiah 32:27: "Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?" What an amazing God we serve, Who just needed a pair of hands & legs to get His Word out to those appointed to Life. And a little 'icing on the cake': I got out of there with my life & He also answered our prayers that morning as we had all but run out of cash to survive.

What the Lord can do with His trusting children!

There are only three(3) examples of the new body Christians will be receiving that I can think of: 1 The body that Adam & Eve had before they lost them after eating the fruit from the Forbidden Tree in the Garden of Eden and 2 The body that Jesus has now which he got upon resurrection. Christians both dead and alive as beneficiaries of Christ's will these new bodies when GOD sounds the trumpets for us to come forth.

Amen to your wisdom there, Tiffan. And a part of "keeping up with the enemy's moves & strategies" is to "know your enemy intimately": that is first rule of the armed forces. To know all about him, the way he thinks, moves, calculates, use of subversionary tactics.

Many believers fail because of a lack of knowledge of the enemy of our souls. They often say, that we would rather spend our energies on meditating on the Lord than worry about the Devil. And this they do, while Satan has a field day with some of them. "We are not ignorant of his devices" said Paul, a man who was continually hounded by the enemy but was well acquainted with his ways. And so we relax in the sunshine of our salvation oblivious & ignorant to his evil schemes, until the time of temptation comes upon us.

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8).

Always remember that Satan is the big, I WILL, out there looking for someone to agree and cave in to sin against your own body, or God.

Jesus was turned into human rubble before the Cross. He did that for you! You've accepted Him as your Savior. Ought you to make Him the Lord over you, your choices?

Your heart is a Throne. Either Jesus sits on it; or you do. Every single day we make a choice to walk with Him or run headlong into trouble.

1 John 1:9 is where you run to for times when fall out of step with Jesus. The Holy Spirit is your Helper; Teacher of scripture and about Jesus; your Comforter when you are lonely or hurt.

We all make mistakes, even me. That's why we run to the Cross to embrace the one who gave His Life for us. He also rose out of His Tomb and was Resurrected to Life everlasting. We can have that too as we live a new way as a Christian and a follower of Jesus.

Don't listen to Mr I Will anymore. He's going to hell real soon.

Pray to Jesus like He's in the room with you.

Like He's your friend that sticks closer than a brother or sister. If you'll keep yourself filled up on some Bible; you'll see days pile up into months, years, and it will have been worth it all.

After I was saved, I was doing cartwheels telling all my drunken friends I got saved.

They wanted me to "have some fun" and go out with them. I asked them to go to church with me. I lost all of those friends. I asked God to give me new friends....and He did!! It was like Acts chapter 1 all the time.

Your Christian walk can be fun if you pray for the right things.

Write that scripture I gave you on the back page of your Bible so you can find it fast. Better still read 1, 2, 3, John. Great info in there.

As you summarised your case well, so I offer the following:

The apostles & the Church they served began to observe the Lord's Day as the First Day of the Week in memory of their Saviour's resurrection. This New Day was to be in direct contrast & opposition to the Jewish Sabbath: a Sabbath which required strict adherence & a part of God's Commandments to them which they could never keep & only showed this fact & their sinful condition. So Jesus came to not only keep God's Laws perfectly, but to ultimately nail them to the Cross at His Death so that all who come to Him by faith can do so in obedience to His Spirit & not to the Letter which could only bring death & separation from Him.
  • Chris - in Reply on James 1

    e. Acts 20:7. "first day of Sabbath in reckoning 7 Sabbaths to Pentecost". The Greek word, Sabbaton used here, doesn't necessarily need to mean the Jewish Sabbath, as this word is used elsewhere with the meaning of 'week or weeks'. Refer to Mark 16:1 & 16:2. Clearly, v1 refers to the Jewish Sabbath & v2 to the 'first of weeks' = first day of the week = Sunday. So too, in Matthew 28:1: Sabbath + Week; Mark 16:9; John 20:1,19; Acts 20:7; 1 Cor 16:2: all used the Gk. Sabbaton referring to week & not Sabbath.

    f. 1 Cor 16:2. Literally translated: "Upon the first day of the Sabbaton (week), each one should lay by him (i.e. on his own, in private, in quietness, without show or fanfare) & store aside..". The instruction here is that the believer, in consideration of the 'poor saints', should as part of the day of worship & rest from their labours, along with the giving of their freewill offerings to the assembly, to also put aside these special gifts for the poor. This was so there wasn't a mad rush to do a collection at the last minute & even take away from the sanctity of the day.

    g. Revelation 1:10. To remain consistent with other references to the first day of the week, we can't change the reference to the Lord's Day in Revelation 1:10 to read "Day of the Lord". That would be forcing an unreasonable application to a simple reading of the verse. John was "in the spirit on the Lord's Day", not "in the spirit towards the Day of the Lord".

Greg, just to respond to that which you've now raised, instead of re-hashing what I've shared earlier:

    a. if you're referring to Genesis 2:3, then I agree that God rested from His Labours & sanctified that day but it wasn't declared as a Sabbath until the giving of the Law. What Scripture from the OT do you use to support: "This Law was established for ALL to obey and enjoy?"

    b. The 10 Commandments, as God's requirements, can never be abolished: "Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good." (Romans 7:12). It was perfectly fulfilled by Jesus at His Coming & fully discharged at His Death & Resurrection.

    c. I don't follow the 10 Commandments as they don't have any bearing, nor could have, on my Christian life. However, lest you think that I've adopted an antinomian stance, my subjection is not to the Law given to Israel, which only brought death (Romans 7:10,11), but to the Law of the Life-giving Spirit (Romans 8:2).

    d. I fully agree that Jesus, in His Coming, fulfilled OT prophecy & I also agree that Faith without Works is dead. This 'Works' cannot refer to keeping the Law but of other practical evidence of real, saving Faith. However, it is interesting that you quote Galatians 3:11,12. This passage specifically states, from v10, that those who maintain the 'working of the law' in their lives are under a curse as none can obey the Law to the letter; therefore, man cannot be justified by the Law - it is of Faith - and "Christ has come to redeem us from the curse of the Law" (v13). I realize that Paul was referring to possibly the Judaizers who wanted to promote this fusion of Law & Grace which opposed the pure Gospel of Christ, but doesn't it then apply to anyone who wants to support this 'obedience to the Law'?

False Prophets and False Teachers have been around as long as the Bible has been.

You should get a King James Bible with a large concordance and center of pages columns. Compare yours versus Gods Word. You are going to choose one over the other. I hope you choose right.

Creation alone is enough to help you choose God; Jesus. If not, then you are reprobate in your convictions opposite of what you can see with your own eyes.

    Romans 1

    18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that THEY ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE.

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 FOR THIS CAUSE God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a REPROBATE MIND

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle NOT against flesh and blood, but against (Invisible) principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

    14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

    15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

    18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

I am still awaiting a response from Bob himself. Bob made the comment(s). I await your personal clarification. Not for the sake of an argument but for the sake of understanding, why.

I believe I do, somewhat, understand your comment, beyond speculation. I've heard it before from many, just as many have. No need to ellaborate as your truth should be easy to speak. Especially if scripture referenced. Truth is love, is it not?

The Word of God is infallible. Though many, may, use scripture out of its given context, to "show point." Be it similar.? to textual corruption by copyist as declared in KJV KJSB(Numbers 1, page 228) as we see in the NIV and elsewhere. Declaring scripture must always be used is understood and I am thankful for that(those) reference(s). As a true believer in Christ I find it dutiful to also express one's Faith or view, at times, through simple layman's terms and to not seek a scripture that simply seems to fit the point. Or to not "hide" behind scripture.(Please, do Not take this out of context or manipulate it.) In no way shape or form will I discredit any specific scripture that pertains to this topic.

If you consult the Holy Spirit I believe you will understand the sincerity in my questions to your original post and that my goal is to understand, again, why. I seek to create no abrasion or in any way to begin a debate among anyone. I am sincere in question.

We are talking about America, specifically.

Is it as simple as Sodom and Gomorrah? Will we be judged as a nation rather than individuals or am I simply off in my thinking there? Will "Lot" have the chance to remove his family or is he automatically included?

I look forward to a response so that I may understand why many in the world share this view.

    It's that simple.

Do you really understand what Mormonism is?

In their Doctrines and Covenants of the Mormon faith they teach that Jesus is the brother of Satan.

Do you understand that means your savior is the brother of Satan.

The Bible teaches Jesus created all things, including Satan in

John 1:3 All things were made by (Jesus) him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Mormonism is a denial of the King James Bible since Jesus said:

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is FINISHED finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.

Mormonism is another testament, another gospel so basically this means it was not finished as the work of Christ.

Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Ask yourself if this means Mormonism is cursed?

Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel (MORONi) from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Do you really want to trust an angel named MORONi

Do we really believe that Christianity was lost till Joseph Smith found some golden plates that no one knows where they are and an angel named MORONi visited him?

Are you prepared to tell Jesus your savior that he is the brother of Satan?

That is what Mormonism teaches. That the King James is full of errors and that they have another gospel.

    Please consider this carefully.

Funny how the archaeologists of the USA can not find any traces of the Nephites or Lamenites civilizations Smith wrote about.

That is absolutely correct! Norm Franz explains it all and much more better than I ever could! He is a pastor. There is no third eye in the bible and yes guys it is completely opposite of Our Lord and Savior Jesus. It is evil, masonic! It was brought up so I wanted to bring it to your attention, where and what the third eye is about! If you study Masons in depth, they are truly evil and not for Jesus! One of many who want to bring the NWO! I believe not only studying the bible and yes, the King James version only, for sure! However, if we are not keeping up with the slick, deceiving things Satan up to? How do we protect not only ourselves but our children as well as helping others from being seduced by (Satan) the worldly ways. We have to be educated not only on the Bible but as well as on our enemy. We are in a spiritual warfare, in any war, a intelligent opponent keeps up on the enemy's moves and stradegies! I have learned so much from Norm Franz and others and have watched the things they have talked about come to pass over the past 25 years!

I always think of David.A man after gods own heart!Yet, he willfully steps out a little, then finds himself running for his life from his own son.His sin started with a look. then a thought ,and then he took the occasion. Then onto murder. These are no small matters. Not unlike Cain killing Abel, David did the same thing, only without His bare hands.A product of the V.Nam era,I am constantly reminded of our sins that were committed their. I did not fly the b52 that bombed and killed civilians in Hanoi, or burn the villages, but I was accused of being wrong when I returned home! The bible refers to the sin that follows us or goes before us. God gave us a free will! That is why we are sinners. When you come to the place in your life, when you realize that there is nothing that you can do to change that, you will fall on your knees and give God the Father the thanks He deserves,You will thank Him for sending his son Jesus Christ for the redemption of mankind.Paul is very adamant, when he talks about our works unto god. You can be one with Father, only through the Son. He who has seen the Son has seen the Father. Christ is the Messiah, In a world ridden with sin, how can those who crucified Him say that His spirit is not alive. No greater love hath a man than he lay down His life for his brother! The Jewish nation will see these things plainly, and confess His holy name!

I am direct sometimes too much so when I reply and I apologize for my being overly direct to you.

I was raised in a Roman Catholic family of Italian decent.

But I am a Mormon having chosen to be baptized into the Mormon faith at age 8 and adopted into Israel through faith in Christ.

My family have moved from Catholic to Born Agains and hate Mormonism and I am commenting on a medium I believe does not accept Mormonism and I have had some negative replies but because of Mormonism, I understand the Bible more than most not of my faith and this because of the Book of Mormon and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

And my comments are influenced by what I know from study and will defend my faith for I have examined my faith.

I like this King James Version of the Bible, which is a little different than what I am used to.

For example, this version uses the upper and lower casing of LORD and Lord more often.

I know I will suffer in Christ for my belief in Christ all the days of my life and I find it a joy and pleasure.

My heart's desire is that my heart may be correct with Him.

That I may be unto God a burnt offering and sweet savour in our Lord, Jesus Christ, for I have no other desire.
