    PART 1

Heb 3:12 "See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God."

Apostasy (Gk apostasia) appears twice in the NT as a noun (Ac 21:21; 2Th 2:3). But here in Heb 3:12 it is used as a verb (Gk aphistemi, meaning to "turn away"). The Greek term literally means "standing away" from God, and it relates to spiritual rebellion, abandonment, withdrawal or turning from what one has previously believed and experienced in a relationship with Christ. It typically involves denying a once sincere faith, disowning Jesus and abandoning the body of Christ (i.e., the church community), although some who have turned their backs on a relationship with Christ may still pretend to be part of the church. Apostasy is the consequence of a willing and deliberate choice to "turn away from the living God" (3:12).

    (1) To apostatize means to break off from one's saving relationship with Christ or to withdraw from union with and faith in him (see article on Faith and Grace). For this reason, individual apostasy (as differentiated from a group, church, people or nation rejecting God) is possible only for those who have first experienced God's forgiveness and been spiritually "born again" ( Jn 3:3-7) and renewed through a personal relationship with Christ (cf. Lk 8:13; 6:4-5; 10:29). Apostasy is not simply a denial of NT belief and teaching by those in the church who do not truly have a personal relationship with Christ. In fact, apostasy may involve two separate but related stages of rejection: (a) theological apostasy, which is a rejection of all or some of the original teachings of Christ and those used by God to write his Word ( 1Ti 4:1; 2Ti 4:3) and (b) moral apostasy, which involves a former believer willingly breaking away from a personal relationship with Christ and becoming spiritually enslaved again to sin and its lifestyle ( Isa 29:13; Mt 23:25-28; Ro 6:15-23; 8:6-13).

    Ronald Whittemore

I do appreciate your opinion Ronald but I really do need to reply, but not to debate. I only hold the KJB high because I see it as the True Word of God. Wouldn't you if you believed that?

You said these videos are using numerology to prove an opinion. Ronald these videos are using the Words in the KJB to prove those Words are Inspired by God Himself.

These patterns work only in the KJB, and they show us God's number of perfection, the #7 or 77, or 777 connecting in many many different ways with His name. In ( Ps 138:2) It says "for thou hast magnified (THY WORD) above all thy name".

Why is it so hard for people to believe that God would Inspire and preserve His Word in a Bible for the last generation just like He did in the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts?

If the preservation is only in the manuscripts then what good does that do us today?

I think the Spirit of truth is the KJB! ( Jn 16:13-15) "when the Spirit of truth is come "he will guide you into all truth"; for he will not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come".

The Comforter is the Holy Ghost in ( Jn 14:26) "he will teach you all things".

If the Spirit of truth is the KJB then the only way for the Holy Ghost to teach us all things is for us to have or be using the Spirit of truth!

John chapters 14 through 16 are very worthy of deep studies.

The English language is the second language of pretty much every single nation in the world. If God did preserve His Words doesn't it make sense it would be in the English language which also is connected with the greatest Christian nation in the world?

( Mt 24:14) "And this gospel of the kingdom SHALL BE PREACHED IN ALL THE WORLD for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come".

The greatest Christian nation in the world is the only way this verse could be fulfilled in this world today!

This is not meant for debate Ronald.

And I really do appreciate your comment.

    Blessings to you.

    Rainwalker,

We are subject to earth time while with Omnipresent God time is of no concern. The Spirit gives us a reconstituted time where the Son who was with God from the beginning as well as his humanity are to be integrated. This calls for time on a different scale. This is what St Peter writes, "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day." (2 Pe.3:8) Moses also refers to it. " For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night." (Ps.90:4) Now is the day of Salvation, is a warning for us. Whereas our calling in his Son is set in His time. So we are nitpicking to speak of time that we cannot really understand. Faith is what we require.

Why do so many churches not believe or teach the 9 gifts of the Spirit, or the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking with other tongues?

    Hi Jimbob,

I considered greatly whether to reply, I read and study the KJV, and I believe it is one of the best English translations. This is in love, and I am not looking to debate, I understand how high you hold the KJV and that should not be debated. I watched the video you listed, and I watched a couple more, do not know his name. You asked for other opinions on it and this is my opinion not to debate or insult but just my opinion.

My opinion is this is using numerology to prove an opinion. Do not know if you remember the Torah code it was years ago. It used a program that picked every fourth or seventh letter of the Torah to predict an event or a name in history and it did. Come to find out this can be done using any book that has many pages. The symbolic numbers found in the Bible are easily identified and plainly understood.

Numerology is a part of divination that we are told not to deal with. Why would someone spend so much time going through the Bible counting words trying to prove something that does not do anything but mystify and say Wow? Acts 8:9-11 not directed at you it is just the feelings I got from watching the videos.

I have read other Bibles and I choose the KJV, but we have to admit it is a translation and it is not perfect. I will not get into what manuscripts they used but whatever Bible we study the Spirit of Truth is our only teacher and only through the Spirit, we will have understanding.

I know my opinion may not be what yours is but think about this. The KJV is an English translation, in the world today 20 percent or less of people can speak English much less read it. If the KJV is the only true translation, what about the other 80 percent of the people in the world?

This is just my opinion you asked for, please do not reply to debate it.

    God bless,

    RLW

    Adam Webb sr

    Thank you for your comment.

( Ps 12:6-7) The words of the LORD are pure words.

( Proverbs 30:5-6) Every word of God is pure.

The word (pure) is #2889; it means pure (in a physical, chemical, ceremonial or moral sense) clean, sound, unadulterated, uncontaminated, innocent or holy.

( Deut 8:3) "that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by ((every word)) that proceedeth out of the mouth of the LORD doth man live".

( Mt 4:4) "But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by ((every word)) that proceedeth out of the mouth of God".

In ( Ps 138:2) "for thou hast magnified (THY WORD) above all thy name".

( Jn 14:23-24) v23 "If a man love me, ((he will keep)) ((my words)) and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him".

Today we are either a Bible Believer, or we are a Bible corrector.

Bible Believers believe that God preserved His Words perfectly, it is given by Inspiration of God!

Bible correctors believe that God preserved His Words in the Hebrew and Greek manuscripts but then He just leaves the largest population of people ever in the history of the world without His True Words to read and study for themselves! And that would mean He leaves those without His True Words in the Lastdays, the worse possible time ever where deception is everywhere.

Would God do that? NO God would not do that!

All modern versions are counterfeit Adam, they are (perverted), they change the Words of the living God. ( Jer 23:36) (perverted) is #2015; it means TO CHANGE.

God Bless you Adam, stay strong in your Faith in the True Word of God, the KJB.

    1. The term "once saved always saved" is found nowhere in scripture.

    2. It is circular logic... Then one who claims well then we can sin, they respond with "But if you were truly saved you would not sin."

    3. Take your salvation seriously.

    4. I refer you to "Individual Apostasy" I will try to post sections 1 though 8 later for you.

    (8) Some who reject their faith and abandon a true relationship with God ( Heb 3:12) may still think they are Christians. However, their spiritual neglect and unconcern toward the demands of Christ, the inner voice of the Holy Spirit and the warnings of Scripture prove that they are in rebellion against God. Because of this possibility of self-deception, Paul urges all those claiming to be spiritually saved to "examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves" ( 2Co 13:5, note).

    (9) Those who genuinely become concerned about their spiritual condition and have a desire to return to God in true repentance (i.e., changing one's attitude toward God, admitting sin, turning from one's own way and submitting to God) can be sure that they have not committed the unforgivable sin (cf. Mk 3:29), or ultimate apostasy. God's Word clearly affirms that he does not want anyone to perish or be spiritually lost and separated from him for eternity ( 2Pe 3:9; cf. Isa 1:18-19; 55:6-7). In fact, the heavenly Father will joyfully receive any wayward, rebellious or lost child who truly repents and returns to him (compare Gal 5:4 with 4:19; 1Co 5:1-5 with 2Co 2:5-11; see also Lk 15:11-24; Ro 11:20-23; Jas 5:19-20; Rev 3:14-20; note the example of Peter, Mt 16:16; 26:74-75; Jn 21:15-22).

    Daruled

You said "its silly to get caught up in which translation is the "true" translation, I will give everyone a different view; and I'll do that by asking a question". (YOU will give a different view by asking a question)? Where did we see that before?

The first question in the Bible was asked by the serpent ( Gen 3:1) "Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" This question by the serpent was to cause the woman ((to doubt)) the True commandment of God. It was a lie from the Devil, and it worked!!

You also said "What is the holy bible but paper and ink"?

The Word of God says ( Ps 138:2) "for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name".

( 1 Pet 1:25) "But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is (the word) which (by the gospel ((is preached)) unto you)".

The word (gospel) is #2097; it means to announce good news ("evangelize") especially the gospel.

The word which by the gospel is preached unto us today, so we do have that TRUE gospel being preached from a book today.

( Proverbs 30:5-6) v5 "Every word of God is pure" v6 "Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar".

You are on the wrong side of the fence here Daruled, Your words are going against the Words of the Lord.

If you truly seek the Truth in this matter then find (Truth is Christ) on youtube and watch a video called, The Bible in our hand is the Twoedged SWORD of His MOUTH- Clear Evidence!

Please stop claiming the Word of God is only ink and paper, seek and Pray and you will find the Truth!

May God open your eyes to see that His pure Words are in the KJB.

( Jer 23:36) And the burden of the LORD shall ye mention no more: for every man's word shall be his burden; FOR YE HAVE ((PERVERTED)) THE WORDS OF THE LIVING GOD, of the LORD of hosts our God.

The word (perverted) is #2015; it means TO CHANGE.

TO PERVERT the words of the living God, is to Change the word of God!

Modern versions pervert the words of the living God!

    Truth matters!

The Jew Is Condemned by the Law

Romans 2:17-29 (KJV) 17 Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,

    18 And knowest his will, and approvest the things that are more excellent, being instructed out of the law;

19 And art confident that thou thyself art a guide of the blind, a light of them which are in darkness,

20 An instructor of the foolish, a teacher of babes, which hast the form of knowledge and of the truth in the law.

21 Thou therefore which teachest another, teachest thou not thyself? thou that preachest a man should not steal, dost thou steal?

22 Thou that sayest a man should not commit adultery, dost thou commit adultery? thou that abhorrest idols, dost thou commit sacrilege?

23 Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

24 For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision.

26 Therefore if the uncircumcision keep the righteousness of the law, shall not his uncircumcision be counted for circumcision?

27 And shall not uncircumcision which is by nature, if it fulfil the law, judge thee, who by the letter and circumcision dost transgress the law?

28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:

29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

    Goliath

A Philistine warrior who is set down as a 'giant' whose one to one combat with young David goes beyond their physical struggle.(1 Sa.17)

David is set down for Jesus Christ in whom, in spiritual terms rests the beauty of holiness (Ps.110:3). Arrayed against him was Goliath, who in his gigantism,- is not about physical malformation, but refers to his ancestry. (Ge.6:1-2). He had brothers who also were giants with six fingers and six toes.(2 Sa.21:20-21) Cf. Number 666 of the beast. (Re.13:18)

(1 Sa.17::49)Significant is the stone that knocked him out helps us recall the stone that is cut from the mountain, not with hands as though from divine slingshot.

Gideon, the sign of the fleece

The sign of the fleece of "Behold, I will put a fleece of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the fleece only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know(Ju.6:37)." This dew is a symbol holiness of God expressed as mercy. The fleece is significant and the symbol refers to the slain Lamb as well.

Next day the sign that Gideon asked for was just the reverse, "Let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the fleece; let it now be dry only upon the fleece, and upon all the ground let there be dew./ And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the fleece only, and there was dew on all the ground. (Ju.39-40)" Redemption by the blood of Jesus serves as a sign for Gideon while it (dew on the ground) explains Jesus as 'the Savior of the world'. In Jesus we are hidden in Christ while in body.

This sign holds yet another great spiritual truth as to the bodies we shall put on in the day of regeneration. After death the term 'spiritual bodies' explains the process in which the inner man with the indwelling Spirit is part of the body of Christ at the day of regeneration.

This shall explain the significance of this verse "Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion(Is,8:18)". Israel is a stand in for New Jerusalem as Adam is a stand in for last Adam in eternity.

The Spirit organized the entire God document where the mode of inversion is the norm. Thus God framed worlds of the Spirit (invisible) and what is seen is the world of the body. God sends his Son to the world so whosoever received may reign with him in heavenly place. He chose the foolish things to confound the wise is yet another. "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit." ( John 12:24) "So also is the resurrection of the dead."(1 Co.15:42-46)

    Giant

In the ancient world before God destroyed there were giants. Ge.6:1-6. The passage elliptically mentions a msalliance between man and spirits which are creatures ('God makes angels spirits'-Ps.104:4)

In the same passage we read man being measured in terms of his years. (120 years). Command number 12 is a clue for us that giants were an exception in the Salvation Plan of God. God's judgment therefore falls on man who flouted the 'in our likeness' rule.

"My spirit shall not always strive" implies the giants were the result of union among daughters of men with spirits ('sons of God') gone rogue. (Jude.v.6). Consequently the number 12 stands for the measure of man who shall benefit from the Gospel of God.

God has chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things, which are mighty. (1 Co,1:26:27). Consequently God sent his Son in the fullness of time it was in human likeness and not in likeness of giants.(Ph.2:7)

    Meditations: Our Hidden Lives

"For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God."(3:3)

Our lives were hidden before the worlds were framed in the divine Will. We did not appear by our own but 'of the will of the flesh,' Flesh and blood shall not inherit the worlds which were framed by the word of God which is a Spirit. So Jesus coming from his Father and who is the heir of all made his Will manifest. Accordingly we are to be born again. "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God./That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit./Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again." ( John 1:13; 3:5-7; He.11:3)

Baptism by water is death, in that symbolically you die to the world of sin and to the hold of flesh and blood. Appetites of carnality when pursued leads to death and condemnation. By the same token when we received Jesus Christ we received all the blessing of God in his Son. Thus the baptism of the Spirit is to work at tandem with death of the Son who died once for all mankind. He dies no more. So we are living in him,-in spiritual terms hidden and in heavenly places. Crypto genesis explains it. This is what the key verse instructs us. Recently we came across a clear example of cryptobiosis or hidden lives. Here is the quote from PLOS, "Recently, nematode individuals have been reanimated from Siberian permafrost after remaining in cryptobiosis. Preliminary analysis indicates that these nematodes belong to the generaPanagrolaimusandPlectus. Here, we present precise radiocarbon dating indicating that thePanagrolaimusindividuals have remained in cryptobiosis since the late Pleistocene (46,000 years"

"When Christ, who isour life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory."(Col.3:4)

    Genealogy

What is the pedigree God desires when He said "Thou art my Son. This day have I begotten thee?" (Ps.2:7)

A clue to His will can be found in his creation account. "And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth." Pedigree of a fruit tree yields after his kind." It is the law or decree that God established before he created man in 'our image.'

It is for this reason the Spirit writes about 'the generations of the heavens and of the earth' right after the creation account. (Ge.2:4) it is the pedigree of children of the light and of the darkness 'It concerns the genealogy of the Holy Family beginning with Seth. It was the divine Will Seth stepped into the breach made by Cain.

"And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth.(Ge.5:3)" After Seth he had sons and daughters which are not part of the pedigree the Spirit assembles. Compare this with that of Enoch," And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat Methuselah/ And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters (Ge.5:21-22)"

Adam is the son of God. ( Luke 3:38)

Adam lived 130 years (100+30) before he begat Seth who is the double Jesus Christ, whose ministry began when he was thirty. (Three is the tag for the Son of God)

In the case of Enoch he lived 65 years (13x5) and after Methuselah he had many sons and daughters as Adam had. Significant point is that he walked with God. To indicate it the Spirit gives us this verse:" And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years.(v.23)

3x100 explains it all beyond any doubt.

In the lexicon of the Spirit the number 12 refers to the gospel. 12x10 refers to the life of Noah who built the ark according to the gospel. Which is gospel of salvation and of judgment. "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith."(He.11:7)

I'm just going to come right out and say it, it's silly to get caught up in which translation is the "true" translation. I will give everyone a different view; and, I'll do that by asking a question: Which gospel, (Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John) is the "real" gospel? You see, these gospels are subtly different, and one more so (John) yet logically, Christ only lived one life on this earth so "logically" there can only be one "true" gospel! The answer is, they are all the true gospel! So, which translation is the "true" translation; the answer to that lies in WHY Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are all the true gospel: Because God desires to speak to us All (humans). The same is true of the different translations, some "hear" Kjv best and some niv etc What is the holy bible but paper and ink? It's God The Holy Spirit who "SPEAKS" to us individually, and as individuals we are unique, therefore God speaks to EACH one of us in our own unique way!

To all who seek His Truth!

There are many different subjects discussed here, some are more important than others.

This one is very, very important!

If you believe the KJB is just another translation then I challenge you to take a small amount of your time and find (Truth is Christ) on youtube and watch the video named, The 1611th Mention of LORD (And Why Its A Really Big Deal)

There have been many on this site who have said the KJB is a good translation, but its just another translation.

If you believe that then you are in error, and this is a major subject to hold in error. Especially since we are living the Lastdays NOW!

If you find that video and watch it, you will see how God is the author of the KJB!

If you believe the KJB is just another translation and you don't take the time and find this video and watch it, Then it would seem by that action that you are not seeking His Truth as much as you may think you are.

Truth is much more important than pride.

God Bless those who do seek His Truth!

(Truth is Christ) on youtube and watch this video (The 1611th Mention of LORD (And Why Its A Really Big Deal)

It would be interesting to hear some of your thoughts about this video. I think it is truly Amazing!

Yes , humans are desperate to disprove the existence of God . We can be sure that if this is what they are telling us that they have done , then they have done much more . We are surplus to requirements now . Once upon a time we were needed to do all kinds of jobs , now machines can do so many things and people are redundant . If humans are needed they can be ' created ' and perfected , to do their specific roles , genetically . But God is real , He is alive and He is all powerful . The earth and all the universe is His and He is in control , no matter what humans may think Revelation Ch 4 , V 10+11. God loves His creation and He will intervene to stop the pride and ruthlessness of humans in their tracks . Please , everyone , remember to pray : Thy Kingdom Come ! Much love to you all in Christ , stay strong in the months ahead , remember who loves you the most !

    Yes, Jema,

Was reading up on this "breakthrough development using stem cells to create a human embryo, yet since it was not from a fertilized egg they are not calling it a human life technically, so they use this as an excuse for calling this technology "ethical".

Science and medicine really took a leap into what is really God's realm, that of conception of human beings, "fertility treatments" that manipulate bodies and hormones, fertilizing in vitro, cloning, as well as the various ways we try to we try to eliminate life before birth or even conception. This tampering with the very nature of the creation of life to control it is not from God. But we have fallen far down the slippery slope. Reproductive research and health services are playing at being god in this area of our society. I wish we could turn back the time to before ideas like Eugenics and Genetic engineering began. But alas, I think we have gone over the brink. It was only a matter of time.

Genesis 11:6 says "And the Lord said, "Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language, and this they begin to do (Towe of Babel); and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do."

In our day, language is not a barrier in Science anymore. We have come again to the "Babel" of our time, when mankind can think together and accomplish whatever they imagine to do.

There will be a judgment for this, just like the flood of Noah's day, and the scattering of the people from Babel. This time, it most likely will be the judgment promised at the end of the age. The upside is, Christ will return and destroy all who oppose Him and redeem all who believe to the fullest. Praise be to God.

    Hi Jim Miller

    Greetings in Christ JESUS

See. Dan, like the SDA sect, interprets it literally differently from you. Actually, they interpret that just like the Pharisees, and Scribes, and Priests, our Lord JESUS also kept the Law of the 10 commandments that GOD gave to Moses and his body-the people of Israel- to keep them.

Paul the Apostle, a former Pharisee extremist, knew very well to distinguish the difference between what GOD gave to Moses and to JESUS, what was given to Moses was the dead letter of the Law, and Israel was as always a simply sinful nation, but what was given to JESUS is the Spirit of the Law, the only one capable of giving life to the disciples of Him, JESUS really FULFILLED the Law. GOD is Spirit.

By the way, the body without the Spirit is dead ( James 2:26), the dead do not praise the Lord ( Psalm 119:17), so the keepers (Jews or Gentiles) of the dead letter of the Law of Moses that lasted until John the Baptist as JESUS warned, they all are dead, and they do not praise the Lord at all, they do not believe in the revelation and determination of JESUS that the dead letter of the Law given to Moses lasted only and only until John the Baptist. period

The heavens(the 1st and 2nd heavens, i.e. the Dispensations of the Old and New Testaments(the 3rd heaven shall be still established- Luke 20:35-36, among other biblical references) and the earth(the current rebel Israel), which are now, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against this Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

    Romans 2:12&14

    12 For as many as have sinned without Law(the Gentiles) shall also PERISH without Law: and as many as have sinned in the Law(the Jews) shall be JUDGED by the Law;

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the Law, do by nature the things contained in the Law, these, having not the Law, are a Law unto themselves:

13 (For not the hearers of the Law are just before GOD, but the doers of the Law shall be justified.

    Kab

Also spelt as cab: a dry measure which is mentioned in this verse, "And the fourth part of a cab of dove's dung for five pieces of silver".(2 Ki.6:25). It is similar as jot or tittle, to indicate insignificance however has their place in context of the whole. Owing to man's fallen state even qabh (or kab) is overvalued. In such times of distress the Prodigal son must content with husks ('And no man gave unto him.'). War brings famine, death hunger and plague in its wake. Ways of the world allow life of indulgence and also bring affluenza. Come crisis, man is left to feed himself.

The context here is the famine in Samaria. Because of wickedness in high places the prophet of God requires a hiding place to which ravens bring food.(1 Ki.17:4). By the same token God is longsuffering who lets sinner survive, so shall he find kab for a price no matter where. Fourth part of it signifies it. (See under N-numbers, command)

    Abel Beth Maccah

A fortified city (2 Sa.20:16) where Sheba had taken refuge in his revolt against David. It is not to be confused with the great stone of Abel. The new cart bearing the Ark of the Covenant stopped at the place where the great stone stood (1 Sa.6:18). The Spirit has placed two tags here to give its significance. Firstly Joshua is a variant for Jesus and the phrase 'unto this day' similarly refers to the day of the Son. "Which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Bethshemite". The place is associated with the sacrifice of Abel.

The difference between the stone of Abel and Abel Beth Maccah can be understood from another example. The place where Lot chose to settle, and he chose the cities of the plains leaving the other for Abraham to take.

    Priestly Garments

And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it. (Ex.28:16-17)

The same foursquare specified for the most holy place is continued in the matter of garments, which symbolize righteousness. The office of the high priest was with reference to Jesus Christ the High Priest of our profession. (He.3:1). Righteousness of service was imputed to priests whose service stopped with death. For this reason foursquare refers to the earth.

Most holy place referred to a certain space. It is as distinct as God commanding Moses 'for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.' So he had no right to come near Him as he was, 'Take off your sandals' (Ex.3:5). God consecrates specific part for His purpose. His righteousness is established in terms of space.

Foursquare is the breastplate. It had to be a span in length and breadth when doubled, and consequently two spans long one way before it was doubled. Between these doublings, the Urim and Thummim were placed. This foursquare doubled so it carried the two stones, which refers to the fourth office of the High Priest. It is a breastplate of judgement which Jesus Christ as the Word represented grace and truth.

Jesus Christ as the fulfillment. Alpha Omega, the beginning and the ending(Re.1:8). Foursquare is applied to eternity where the holy city of God has same length, breadth and it relates to time. Thus the High Priest represented by Levitical priesthood has a fourth dimension which is of time. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever (He.13:8)

    Priestly Garments

In the garments that God commanded Moses to make, for service, the Spirit gives qualities required under Levitical priesthood.

"And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it./ Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof./ And thou shalt set in it settings of stones,(Ex.28:16-17)

    Front and back

What is the significance of the foursquare being doubled? It has a front and back is it not?

When Moses requested God to reveal his face God would only reveal his 'backside' which gives us an insight into the narrative mode of the Spirit.

"Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live./ And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:/ And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:/ And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.(Ex.33:19-23)".

The breastplate is for glory and beauty. That is the front. Its real purpose is in matters where the high priest was called to mediate. It was the breastplate of judgment, because he wore it upon his breast when he went to ask counsel of the Lord, to give judgment in any particular case; as also when he sat as judge to teach the law, and to determine controversies. (Le.10:11;De.17:8-9). So backside held the key to his office. It relates to Christ the Mediator. Glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ is the light of the knowledge, which is shed in our hearts. (2 Co.4:6)

    Galilee, sea of

So called from the province of Galilee, which bordered on the western side.(Matt.4:18). It was also called the "Sea of Tiberias," from the celebrated city of that name. ( John 6:1) At its north-western angle was a beautiful and fertile plain called "Gennesaret," and from that it derived the name of "Lake of Gennesaret." There are three names as given above to the same body of water associated with the life of Jesus. The same lake, the same Word.

Here we shall consider two events associated with this sea. We are all familiar with the Last Supper and it signaled the beginning of the end for the Son of man. After he is risen in St John 21:1-14 we are looking at the First Supper,- and it signifies life after life.

It is thus we need look at the apparent 'inconsistencies' that many scholars have pointed out. The truth of Synoptic gospels is established by God; and how John has been illumined to provide the miracle of the draughts of fishes after resurrection makes it true; equally true is the account of Luke. ( Luke 5:1-11). Luke is referring to fishers of men while John is introducing it as abundant life ahead of every believer because Jesus Christ is raised.
