We will have to agree to disagree. The bible plainly states that Jesus Christ is our intercessor.
  • Romans 1214-21 on Psalms 113:9
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.

15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.

16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

*18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
  • Mishael - in Reply on Hebrews 9:14
The Bible says much about vows and oaths. I believe you made a promise, which is different as Psalms 76:11 indicates.

Here is this websites commentary on That scripture:

7-12 God's people are the meek of the earth, the quiet in the land, that suffer wrong, but do none. The righteous God seems to keep silence long, yet, sooner or later, he will make judgment to be heard. We live in an angry, provoking world; we often feel much, and are apt to fear more, from the wrath of man. What will not turn to his praise, shall not be suffered to break out. He can set bounds to the wrath of man, as he does to the raging sea; hitherto it shall come, and no further. Let all submit to God. Our prayers and praises, and especially our hearts, are The Presents we should bring to the Lord. His name is glorious, and he is the proper object of our fear. He shall cut off the spirit of princes; he shall slip it off easily, as we slip off a flower from the stalk, or a bunch of grapes from the vine; so the word signifies. He can dispirit the most daring: since there is no contending with God, it is our wisdom, as it is our duty, to submit to him. Let us seek his favour as our portion, and commit all our concerns to him.

    Commentary by Matthew Henry, 1710.

I don't know what you vowed or promised, so I cannot say more. I think you should have a meeting with your Pastor and pray about this. Get this off your chest, so-to-speak.

    You are right,

    It was said by Eve.

Eve saw the tree of the knowledge of good and evil (Satan) as the most desirable and beautiful creature she had ever seen.

That is why she added the words "neither shall ye touch it."

    Both she and Adam failed.

  • Daniel Moran on Revelation 19:20
Does anyone know the precise number of Old Testament prophesies of the coming Messiah?
  • Carleton on Leviticus 15
My wife is 51 years old and well read in non- fiction and some fiction books and knows the Bible a lot better than I do. Only a few momenta ago, I asked her if she had ever heard of Robert Redford, she said, "no."

  • Daniel - in Reply on Revelation 19:20
Jesus' desire for each of us is to have the same relationship with the God the Father as he has. We should have a relationship with Christ as well, but Christ wants us to know his Father, and to pray to his Father in his name.

In fact, that Jesus is our intercessor is evidenced in part by the fact that we are able to pray in his name, he wants us to his use name on our own behalf, and it is through that vouching that he intercedes for us. He himself prays for us to God his Father, and this is evidence that we should go straight to the Father as he taught us to in the Lord's prayer. Again, if we should pray to our intercessors, why not pray to your pastor and whoever else, as they also should intercede for you. But to pray for oneself, one should go to God.

I am still interested on the name of the faith that Bob is speaking of. Who are his brethren? Are they Amillenialist? More importantly to me, are they non- resistant loving lambs of Christ?
  • Earl Jackson on Ecclesiasticus 19:19
what is, the name of the bible,I can buy that has old testament including ecclesiasticus and the new testament in one book.
  • Psalm 10515 - in Reply on John 6
He's preaching from the book of Acts 3000. Does anyone know what that is? Just curious...
  • Carleton - in Reply on Revelation 19:20
In the name of Jesus one can pray directly to God the Father even Abba, without fear and without fault.

  • The word Kuria I believe is not the ladys' name in 2nd John. From what I've read John is simply addressing his letter to a chosen spiritual lady.
  • Happy Babtistcostilist - in Reply on Genesis 3
eve said that , cant find in bible where GOD said it , I think adam told her that , because he was lazy , he should of did his job , tend the garden, just like most churchs , you pray on the corner so everybody can see, but when it comes time to work, to help GOD make a differance in there lives, not preach as adam did , just my thoughts
  • Carleton - in Reply on John 6
Hi Bob, are you speaking of Amillenialism?

  • D.J. - in Reply on Genesis 2:9
    Mark Padmore,

Adam and Eve did not need any type of covering because they had not sinned yet.

As angels of light, they were pure.

They were creations of God (i.e. no belly button / no parent)

The covering they may have put on was the 7 layers of membrane we call skin.

After they sinned, the adjustment of God's plan was made.

    God is prepared for everything.

Ron, I have often wondered the very same thing and I myself have done it wrong also but I am going to start praying to Jesus like the Bible says. Thanks and Amen.

  • Donna Williams - in Reply on John 6
The word rapture is not found in the Word of God, but 1Thessalonians 4:17 reveals that the saints who are alive and remain at the Second Coming of Jesus Christ shall be caught up together with them (those who have fallen asleep in Christ), in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. The words being "caught up" is the Resurrection of the Saints. I do not believe that we should form an opinion of whether or not He is coming pre, mid, or post tribulation. The truth of the matter is Jesus already told us we don't know the day or the hour when the Son of Man is coming, so how is it that we are having disputes over when He's coming. Jesus said, "Watch, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour that ye think not." Matthew 24:44 & Luke 12:46

What is Jesus saying, He is saying that we must be ready at all times. For He is coming as a thief in the night!
  • Marvin Bronowicz - in Reply on Acts 27:9
The word Rapture is not in the scripture but it is inferred in 1 Thes. 4.16-18!

The Words Holy Trinity also not in scripture but they too are inferred in Matthew 28.19 and 1John 5-7.
  • Marvin Bronowicz on Galatians 6:17
Hebrews 2.7 says, "Thou hast made him a little lower than the angels". Exegete's believe the usage of the word "little" means " for a little while", or simply to rephrase, "Thou hast made him for a little while lower than the angels! Jesus said "if you've seen me, you have seen the Father! God is a Spirit. No one of the flesh has ever or will never see him! Jesus Christ is the "Word" incarnate, made in the flesh. John 1. 1, and Jesus is therefore the "eternal living Word of God"!

Most of all I believe that before he was made flesh, Jesus (the Word), counciled with the Trinity and agreed to become a sacrificial offering, a blood sacrifice (God's covenant with man has always involved a blood sacrifice for sin!

Jesus is the image of the invisible God and for a little while , 33 1/2,years in the flesh, was a little lower than God because to satisfy Gods justice for sin, make peace between God and man and to bring us back into a right "relationship with Our Father in the Spirit, Jesus had to lower himself to be that sacrificial offering , a lamb, the lamb of God! Only God could do what Jesus the Eternal Living Word of God did! Die for the sins of the World AFTER HAVING LIVED A SINLESS 33 1/2 years in the flesh!!!
  • Bob Grove - in Reply on Acts 27:9
There is a catching up to be with the Lord when Jesus returns in the clouds just as he left according to the Angels . But in the Glory of God as well .

No secret Rapture it's not found in the bible . Every eye shall see him ! Amen even so come Lord Jesus !!!
  • Bob grove - in Reply on Psalms 46
    John chapter 6

    Read Mathew 24

    Luke 21

    2 Thessalonians 2v3

Beware of many false teachings on this . There is no secret rapture , it says he comes in the clouds and every eye will see him
  • Bob Grove - in Reply on Psalms 46
This happens on the last day , when Jesus returns in the clouds as he departed . Read John chapter 6 carefully . Read Revelation 20 carefully .

Not a pretrib rapture before this great event .

Jesus is returning only once again . Not 2 more times with a secret rapture . It does not exist, but rather a fable to put it mildly.

Read 2 Thessalonians 2 v 3 carefully . There are many more but these should give you good guidance .
  • Bob Grove on Matthew 24:9
    Dear truth seeker

Verse 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them , Take heed that no man deceive you .

    More than ever now !

    Many will be deceived .
  • Bob grove on John 6
Thank God for the Bible and the truth !

Most likely will not find much in the comments here !
  • Bob Grove on John 6
Jesus said he would raise up all that believe in him on the last day x times in this chapter . and in John 11 he also said he is the resurrection.

So how is it possible for a pretrib rapture ? Are you going to be resurrected twice ?

Jesus is coming 3 times ?
  • Bob Grove on Hebrews 9:14
    2Timothy chapter 4 verses 3,4

If it's not found in the scriptures it's a fable . And if the scriptures are not very defined and accurate don't twist them into something it's not saying . With out the Holy Spirits guidance you may very well end up with some corruption of the word of God .

Those that corrupt the word of God are more than those that do not . Even in Apostle Paul's time . So most are false teachers and today we have armies of them .

Read the bible for yourself seek the truth . Amen !

God is faithful unto all Generations. His word endured for ever ! Jesus is Risen and coming again be ready !
