    That Name Is JESUS!!
  • Robin sonnier on Acts 4 - 10 years ago
This is when I believed the high priest and the beginning of the world would know that Jesus is lord and no looking back. The disciples knew it was time to be bold and spread the gospel..
  • Jodelle on Acts 4:13 - 10 years ago
how? answer: "and they TOOK NOTE they had been with JESUS". Another proof toward inspired Word vrs man-made philosophy
  • Grace okenwa on Acts 4 - 10 years ago
Prayer is the key to open doors, solution to our problems. when Jesus was on earth he told his diciples that graet mircles can happen through prayer Mark 9:29
  • Joshua on Acts 4 - 11 years ago
This Chapter is too powerful as it illustrates the real power of God and where it originates. God has tools and means to accomplish his agenda, the only thing He expects from us is to obey and wait upon Him.
  • Jwstn on Acts 4 - 11 years ago
Jesus is the stone that the builders rejected even today, and they still say "the old wineskins are better".
  • MASINGITA on Acts 4 - 11 years ago
To me, Verse 31 shows the power of prayer. If done in spirit, faith and in agreement any situation that saints are faced with, even if they are there in time when the prayer is made, all will be shaken.
  • Obi Daniel on Acts 4:12 - 11 years ago
God please, let me be saved by Your Name!!
  • Abubakari Fatao on Acts 4:12 - 11 years ago
    THAT IS TRUE.
  • Ananias Mukhari on Acts 4:24 - 11 years ago
I believe that when they prayed in one accord, God was hearing a voice not voices because they were not divided. There is a need that we as a church unite so that God may hear us as one.

    Read Frenz's Comment on Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 10:9-10, 13, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, John 3:3 Acts 4:12, Acts 16:16-40 (v31).
  • Lornaprescod on Acts 4 - 11 years ago
Peter and john were unlearned men . When GOD gives you a job to do he always provide the tools to get the job done.
  • Ciprince on Acts 4:12 - 11 years ago
In this life, there are many things you can neglect and reject, but the Word of God, Jesus Christ cannot be neglected or rejected because He is the Sovereign Superior Personality. The worst thing that can happen to anybody is when he or she rejects and neglects Christ. He/she is of all men miserable.
  • Marva Symonette on Acts 4 - 11 years ago
I just re-read verses 1-21 of this chapter and am still amazed at how God has spoken to me through this passage. It encourages us to remain firm in our faith no matter what we come up against and to be bold for the Lord in spite of who we have to stand before. If we have truly had an encounter with Jesus like Peter and John did, we will not waver even though things may seem to be against us.
  • Mae Cepeda on Acts 4 - 11 years ago
The disciples were not afraid to speak about Jesus, I believe because they were filled with the Holy Ghost, thats where Jesus wants us.
  • Jacque on Acts 4 - 11 years ago
Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

There's only ONE saving NAME !! And that is Jesus!

Deuteronomy 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Ephesians 4:5 ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM !
VERSE 6 - ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL,

    John 1:1-14 ~~ 1 Timothy 3:16

God was manifest in the flesh !!

Their is only ONE saving name and when Jesus told the disciples to teach ALL nations baptizing them in the NAME of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: -20- Teaching them to observe ALL things whatsoever I have commanded you.

In Luke 24:47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Acts 2:14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
    And now into verse 38-39

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
  • Frenz on Acts 4:12 - 11 years ago
Because this is the name of the One True God and Saviour ( 1 John 5:20) which the Bible tells. Without accepting Jesus Christ as your Saviour and without obedience to His word we will not be saved. Even though we have faith in Jesus but without obedience thru baptism in the name of Jesus we will be condemned. ( Acts 2:38-29)

    Godbless you all
  • Deniece on Acts 4 - 11 years ago
Drake in ansure to your question there can only be one ansure. Through the power of Jesus Christ the wholy son of God they were given the knowledge of what to write.
  • Drake on Acts 4:13 - 11 years ago
How could Peter and John have written the books attributed to them if they were "unlearned and ignorant men"?
  • James on Acts 4 - 12 years ago
what power there is in the name of jesus! May we have the faith, freedom, and boldness to use the name of Jesus to help others.
  • Ida Jones on Acts 4 - 13 years ago
We should not just try to give God 10% of whatever we have. I am a mother and just realized that I owe God 10% of my time on a daily basis. We should think what if God didn't wake us up or took back his time from us. What could we do?
  • Believer on Acts 4 - 13 years ago
I agree with Justified 1's comment on 4/2/10

This is one thing that believers brush off right away. Sharing and giving of the posessions which include finance at the top of the list is the most hardest thing for the believer to do. If it is taught more that we should do this, perhaps that will be a start.
  • True believer on Acts 4 - 13 years ago
JESUS WANTS 2 LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS WE LOVE OURSELFS.AND HOLD ON TO HIS HAND HIS UN CHANGIN HAND PRAY YE FOR ONE OTHER BE CHRIST LIKE AT LEAST TRY 2 BE AS HE WHATS US TO B
  • Tina Henderson on Acts 4 - 13 years ago
Everything we have comes from God, God wants us to bless others not just with material things but also with fellowship, kind words, loving one another. It's all about unity amoung the believers.
  • Santified on Acts 4 - 13 years ago
The boldness of Peter was linked to the fullness of the Holy Ghost and he spoke that which he had seen and heard obviously of The Lord Jesus Christ Shouldn't we do the same?
  • Justified1 on Acts 4 - 13 years ago
Acts 4: 32-36 Could we ever let go of "our" (They are not ours! We are stewards of what God gives us!) possessions and share them in common with fellow believers in our local assembly i.e. give and receive and therefore lack nothing and esteem others better tahn ourselves? This is a very hard saying and the greatest majority of us, to our shame, could not do today what those people of the 1st century did
  • BORN AGAIN on Acts 4 - 14 years ago
PETER TELLS US THERE IS NO OTHER WAY TO BE SAVED.
ONLY THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.
