Neither is there salvation in any other, saith the word. We know that there is only one savior; that is Jesus. It says in Isaiah 43 that there is none beside him..
  • Ben on Acts 4 - 7 years ago
This reminds me of Matthew 1:21, how Christ saves us from our sins. Truly an inspirational word, knowing that we have the Lord Jesus Christ for our salvation. No one goes to the Father but by him!!! Thank you God for our Lord Jesus Christ who died for us!
  • MockingBird on Acts 4 - 7 years ago
By the wonderful name of Jesus we are saved . Jesus !! Jesus !! All things are possible to those that believe. The name of a certain Dr. that you go to cannot save you . He can help you on your way to recovery : but he cannot save you ! Jesus !! That wonderful name !!
  • Irene123 on Acts 4 - 7 years ago
    V. 4 - ".....the number which heard and believed was about 5,000." Acts 2:39 or 40 - ".....about 3,000 were added to the church." These nos. sound fantastic and of course these nos. don't happen today. BUT - they do!! The church is all around the WORLD now, and these same nos. are going on today, albeit over a wider area.

  • Bud on Acts 4 - 7 years ago
Marat: You are correct in one way for Caiaphas was high the year that Jesus was arrested John 18:13. But when Peter and John was arrested Annas was high priest in that year, Acts 4:6 check it out. Good study.
  • Marat on Acts 4 - 7 years ago
Your answer Annah to the question: Who was the high priest when Peter and John were arrested at the temple? is incorrect. The correct answer is Caiaphas. See John 18:13, Annah was father-in-law of Caiaphas who was a high priest for that year.

To the former muslin. AMEN brother Looking forward to meeting you in our personal Lord and Savior's kingdom of heaven
  • Irene123 on Acts 4 - 7 years ago
v.13 - tells me that the Jewish muckety-mucks KNEW pretty much all about it; they knew the O.T. prophecies and that Jesus had fulfilled them. But, by now, they had their own agenda, which bro"t in more to the coffers, and gave them more power.
  • What's your thoughts? on Acts 4 - 7 years ago
To me, Acts 4:12 is one of the most important verses in the bible. For those not familiar with the bible or Christianity may see/read John 3:16 and think 'okay, believe in God, but who is God/god?' There are so many "gods" being shoved in our childrens' faces, especially with the Muslim population on the rise, BUT the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ... Not allah
  • BSP on Acts 4 - 7 years ago
In verses 19 and 20, Peter and John were bold in their preaching. They set a good example for us to imitate.

Jesus is the way , truth, and the light.
  • Ryan on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
The unbelief of the antichrist never will cease to amaze me that this generation even saw Jesus, even the head cornerstone, none other name under heaven by which men are saved.
  • Abu kallon on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
    Thank you.
  • Bruce on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
Chapter 4 reminds me how the disciples had grown because Peter and the rest of the Apostles fled and forsook Jesus during his trials fearing this same council (Sanhedrin Court). Now they are speaking boldly before them without any fear all. In fact they count it a blessing to suffer in Jesus' name. Rarely do we see such commitment from people of God these days. We prefer not to suffer for Christ
  • Cliff on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
Amen! Regarding this verse. But, the image of the cross? We are not to worship the instrument of death that Jesus was nailed to. And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Revelation 19:10 Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God. Revelation 22:9
  • Barb on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
This is one of my favorite verses. It puts it in black and white that there is no other way to be saved. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. There is only one God and it certainly isnt allah.
  • MockingBird on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
The Name of Jesus is very Precious to me. At the Name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God . Sin , Sickness of any name , disease of any name , Must bow and back off at the Name of Jesus spoken in Faith : Believe and receive . Praise God !!!

As a Christian and a Communist, I am truly inspired by verses 34 and 35. Here are the true seeds of the Kingdom of God that no one should be left out or find themselves excluded from the bounties of this world
  • Rosetta on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
The Book of Acts enlightens us that Jesus is the Holy Spirit. This Buick lets us know that the Triune God is omnipresent , here with us and sits on the right hand of the Fagher.
  • Elder D on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
Every Holy Ghost filled individual need to ask Jesus to anoint them to speak His word with boldness and with power. It takes the power of God's word to destroy every evil power which is in the earth of this world. Jesus power will destroy every yoke of bondage.
  • Mike garrett on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
PRAYER IS OWN REAL POWER.AND KEEP THE WORD BEFORE US THE HOLY SPIRIT HE WILL LEAD US. IN HIS WORK.AND WE. HAS THE BODY OF CHRIST.NEEDS TO BE ON ONE ACCORD.
  • Jim Webster on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
I believe that in Acts 4 the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, whom Jesus the Christ has said would come, has bare witness through the Apostles that Jesus the Christ is the Son of God and is alive and sits on right Hand of God the Father.
  • Mark R on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
All need to learn from Barnabas. What a great giver he was.
  • Tracy on Acts 4 - 8 years ago
The establishing of the new testament church, the power of the Holy Spirit given to the Apostles to confirm their message about Christ and bringing salvation to the gentiles as well as Jews.
  • Loredo on Acts 4:12 - 8 years ago
No other name mentioned or written in the BIBLE--I think of all those including the Muslim population that adhere to the notion that Muhummed is their salvation. That is farthest from the truth and Satan delights in their following of the false religion to a certain Hell!!!
  • Thomas on Acts 4:12 - 8 years ago
I believe you, Lord Yehoshua. Save me and my family from judgment and sanctify us for your use. This mustard seed of faith is all I have...Have mercy, Father...
