Vs 24 says all this info and knowledge was evident because the 'fathers' had been talking about it since the beginning. Question: Paul says his teachings were never known before his (Paul's)revelations. This is not a contradiction. Paul is not given enough time in our bible studies. Chances are we don't really have a grasp on Christianity 101. Here's another q: Luke 9 says the apostles were out preaching the gospel. In Luke 18 the apostles 'knew nothing' about the upcoming Crucifixion.('it was hid from them') How could the apostles present the gospel if Paul says in 1 Cor 15:1-4 that the gospel for us is believe in the resurrection?....Read carefully the doxology at the end of Romans....We are to follow Jesus Christ ACCORDING TO THE REVELATION TO PAUL.(Gal. chapters 1 and 2)..not the 12. Paul says it's 'given to me to you-ward'. Christianity for us lives in Paul's letters. All else in the NT is Law.

I believe I can use this reference to start evangelizing them that say God cannot possibly have a son. I can speak of Jesus as a prophet as it is scriptural, before I get to more details. When the person starts receiving more of the truth I can give more information. Be blessed

There is a phrase in verse 19 of Chapter 3 that has a parallel in Chapter 2. Peter tells the Jews that crucified Jesus to "repent and be converted that your sins be blotted out". The companion passage is in Acts 2 verse 38 where the convicted Jews are told to "repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins". The religious world chooses to believe one of the passages and refuses to believe the other although the language is structured the same. The hypocrisy is obvious to anyone who will read what it says instead of reading to prove what they already believe.

John 14:12,13,14 VERILY,VERILY I SAY UNTO YOU, HE THAT BELIEVETH ON ME,THE WORKS THAT I DO SHALL HE DO ALSO;AND GREATER WORKS THAN THESE SHALL HE DO;BECAUSE I GO UNTO MY FATHER.13:AND WHATSOEVER YE SHALL ASK IN MY NAME,THAT WILL I DO, THAT THE FATHER MAY BE GLORIFIED IN THE SON.14; IF YE ASK ANY THING IN MY NAME,I WILL DO IT.

The word of GOD is not a thing but a being backed up by the spirit of God to perform the task not just in the creation. But one thing is certain; the growth of the word of GOD in your life determines how much we will prevail against the one whom we are dealing with that is the devil. Give Gods word a chance and see the big difference in your entire life even your health. Thanks!

Without having time in prayers, we cannot help this world. We must have faith as we are praying. After that miracle, Peter seized the opportunity to preach the people.

Praise God! He is still doing miracles! Unfortunately Man had placed GOD in a box! This Nation no longer preaches the Book of Acts and what Jesus told us we will do or even Joel 2:28. Man has grieved the Holy Spirit and quenched the Holy Spirit in these last Days. We should be witnessing "greater works" and Miracle, Signs and Wonders that should be following God's "Spirit Filled" children! In "Jesus Name", we should see Cancer healed, the blind see and cripple from birth Healed according to The BOOK of ACTS! I am on a Mission and I feel that I have been called to serve HIM in these last Days and it is happening! Jesus is coming soon and we must be about "Our Fathers" business! Shalom!

  • Christian on Acts 3 - 11 years ago
Healing has to be in GOD's Will. GOD may have other plans. I believe that sometimes GOD just wants to call us home. 1 Corinthians 10:13 is a great verse. In pain, one of the ways of escape may be to take his children home. I thank him for touching my heart. PRAISE GOD.

Peter and John are not unlearned. That lame man was not demon possessed. He had been lame since birth. By faith we are made whole.
  • Gregory Couch on Acts 3:6 - 11 years ago
GREED has crept into the Church and deception has invaded God's people, which is the Church, not four walls or a puppet on stage. So sickening what is happening today but as long as the people allow it the same will continue. Just stay dumb and be sure to pay your tithes and offerings and by the way you must follow all of the law and not just one or two verses.

This is a really powerful message and hopefully if someone is hurting they may believe that Jesus can heal them. In the same way now than he did then.

  • Ben weaver on Acts 3:6 - 13 years ago
Peter explained this miracle in V.16 by saying "The faith which is by Him (Jesus) has given this perfect soundness. Even the faith which they spoke was from Jesus. Jude says, "Earnestly contend for the faith which was once for all entrusted to the Saints. Jesus said those who believe in Him would also do the works that He did. 1 Cor. 12:9 says faith is a spiritual gift & Eph.6:11 & 16 tell us to take it and put it on. Beyond our human faith, the faith of Jesus is entrusted to us to use for His glory. Let's press for prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.( Phil. 3:14)
