Heaven must receive Christ until the time for restitution of all things This means God will not reveal Jesus until He has created in Him all things, the full body of Christ.Hence the New Creation is meant here which will restore de old one. And it through the gospel dat God is creating New Man in Christ as the prophets prophesized- 1 Peter 1:12.Isaiah prophesizd about this in Symbols in Isaiah 65:17-25 of the New Creation restoring the old one.

Peter and John had so much faith. That they still continued to fight for his word. And to tell people about him. They were able to do miracles in the name of Jesus. For they believed. They new him whloe heartedly.

Acts 3 Salomey I read that the seed of God is in all of us and on 23 it says those not accepting the words from the prophet shall be destroyed. I missed the part where it says let us all share the word. Our lives should reflect and our testimony's shall plant seeds but not all are called upon to spread the word I don't think. Some have not been called upon as teachers.
  • Salomey on Acts 3 - 8 years ago
Jesus has placed his word in us that we should share it to mankind and that is what Peter and John did so let us all share the gospel to all.
  • Peter on Acts 3 - 8 years ago
In Acts 3 tells how God used Peter and John to manifest his power of healing. after Peter healed the Lame Beggar in Jesus Name, all people honored the Name of the Lord.
  • Mike on Acts 3 - 8 years ago
Peter was full of the Holy Spirit he spoke not in self but in power and might of God even so much as to Reflect on the thing he was saying himself all at the same time. Truthfully exposing truths that were reveled even to him his faith was as a rock and he was the truth not only speaking the truth, his demeanor his words his actions his life was and example of Christ who lived in him and drew him he was able to heal and save and be the great rock that he was

  • Peter on Acts 3 - 8 years ago
Many ought to be careful under what influences ye meditate upon the word, which will determine the nature of 'revelation s ' ye receive, for even the devil appears to men as an angel of light. If it were not so Christ would not have called Peter a rock, upon which He swore to build His church, Peter being an Apostle himself and also firmly operated in the capacity of a Prophet - Ephesians 2:20.

  • Gp on Acts 3 - 8 years ago
The Rock was not Peter! The Rock Jesus was referring to was the revelation Peter had received concerning Jesus was the the Son of the living God! This revelation is what the church is built upon . . . NOT Peter! He is not a pope. He is simply another brother in Christ. AMEN!

This rock in Matthew 16:18 is a reference to Jesus Christ just as in John 2:19 this temple was a reference to Jesus Christ. Jesus is the rock Psalms 62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation Many today have the wrong rock like Deuteronomy 32:31 For their rock is not as our Rock, even our enemies themselves being judges. The Bible says that Peter is a stone John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone. And he is one among many 1 Peter 2:5. Peter preached a kingdom message with those keys which opens doors for opportunities to preach. See 1 Cor 16:9, and 2 Cor 2:12 for example. Today we listen to Paul our apostle Rom 11:13, Acts 9:15, 1 Tim 2:7, etc. who preaches Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Jesus appointed Peter as his rock where Jesus can build his church. It has been revealed by God to Peter when Jesus appeared to Peter and invite him to follow and give life a second chance to the children of God. Peter is also the first witness of what Jesus have taught about the healing, the good news, blessings etc. Jesus imparted his word to Peter and manifested to share his message. Jesus loves you and keep reading his words and invite the Holy Spirit to teach us to understand. God is so good and he knows how to provide at anytime in our situations.

The gospel of the Kingdom was being preached by Peter and Stephen in Acts chapters 2 thru 7. Peter knew nothing about the Gospel of the grace of God until he saw it operating in Acts 10 and heard it confirmed by Paul in Gal 1:18, 2:7-9. Look at verse 19. This is a reference to the Second Advent. Peter was refering to the blotting out of the sins of the entire nation if Israel Isa 44:21-23. This gospel of the kingdom will not be preached again until the rapture of the Chruch. Then the kingdom will be at hand again. Now people are saved by grace through faith and not of works. Baptism, tongues, holding out faithful so to speak, are all works. See Romand 4:5.

Hello Abbass The Book of Acts was written by Luke the physician. It was not written by Peter. Luke is given accounts of what happened the day s leading up to the day of Pentecost, the Day of Pentecost, and the days after the Pentecostal experience. There was one disciple there standing by the cross with Mary his mother. That disciple was Mary son, Jesus half brother, John 19 26 and 27. Please read under Luke Chapter 3 my response to someone about the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.

but neither nor any of the 12 disciples was at hand to witness the trial or the crucifixion. so how is peter reporting in act 3 the opposite of what truly happened? it seems to me that peter is also saying here that the prophet like Moses prophesied of old will arrive at some point now that Jesus is no more on earth. this will have to happen before Jesus returns. do i get it so far since Jesus has not returned and he is being awaited still? thanks.

Hello Raymond Carroll Not only is Jesus Christ the truth and the light, he is God manifested in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3 16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory ". He is the door to salvation " Acts 4 12 "Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved ". We must follow Acts 2 38 in order to go through the door to heaven.

Hello R. Simpson In addition to my other comment, which I hope will come out, Jesus even stated that he came in his Father 's name, John 5 43 I am come in my Father 's name, and ye receive me not if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive ". It is a mystery, but it is the truth, 1 Timothy 3 16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory .

Hello R. Simpson Jehovah is a name that God held in the Old Testament. There were many versions of Jehovah, depending on the situation or circumstances in which the name was used to show God in that capacity. Jehovah Jireh means the Lord will Provide. Jehohovah Nissi means the Lord my Banner. Jehovah Shalom means the Lord send peace. Jehovah Shammah means The Lord is There. Jehovah Tsidkenu means The Lord our Righteousness. However, Jesus Christ stated that he and his father are one. The scriptures further stated that Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. So his true name the name that was given at birth, the name that was hidden throughout time Old Testament is Jesus Christ. This is the name in which to call on for salvation, Acts 4 12 Neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved . It is alright to know all of the other names that God held, but we under this Dispensation of Grace, only need to call on the name of Jesus Christ for everything we need.
  • R. Simpson on Acts 3 - 9 years ago
Praise be to god the Father for Jesus Christ. It is clear that God the Father Jehovah glorified Christ through the healing of the beggar at the temple. It is about Christ to the glory of the father. It is God plan that Christ be glorified, his son and when the son is glorified the father is as well. The apostles witness was about Christ not Jehovah. Jehovah is glorified when we obey him through trust in Christ. You cannot disobey Christ nor undermine his plan and be blessed by Jehovah. You must first trust and honor Christ to be blessed and loved by the father. He is the way the truth and the life, no man come unto the father but by him.

Hello Aubrey Senna, You know Jesus left us instructions on how to pray, Matthew 6 5 thru 8. Then he gave all of us a pray to say, Matthew 6 9 thru 13. You can also ask additional things, but when you do not know what to pray for and you struggling with words to say, this is the pray to say in Matthew.

I think this chapter is all about our faith that with faith we do what is above man s imagination. Please pray for me ineed to know how to pray in faith amn

A very powerful healing can be observed here. A lame man from the birth who has lost his privilege as a child to learn to walk and fall. Which technically means he would not even know how to walk even if he got his legs well by other means. Please note that the healing of God is instant and progressive. The man leaped and stood and entered the temple and praised him. Isiah 35 6

KENNETH If you read Revelation 21 8 it says, "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone which is the second death. " My interpretation is that when verse 23 says, "every soul, which will not hear that prophet " it is referring to those who choose not to believe in Jesus. when it talks of the death of the soul it means the second death or the "spiritual death, " when non believers are cast into the lake of fire.
  • KENNETH on Acts 3:23 - 9 years ago
Acts 23 verse 3 And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people I am having a questions from a Jehovah 's Witness who claims that the soul is not immortal but here it says the every soul shall be destroyed..can you explain thank you!

As the entire word of God is very inspiring and shows the power that is available to us believers by faith in Jesus Christ,I pray that my faith will be strengthened to speak the word with that authority and see miracles happen
