  • Little Children and the Rapture of the Church on Acts 2:41 - 3 years ago
Comment: clearly Jesus loves babies & little children and disabled in comprehension.

Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

    Matthew 7:11

If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

    Matthew Chapter 18

3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.

5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me.

6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.

    AGE OF ACCOUNTABILITY

I think the best way to answer that is to say this: There is no "age of accountability" identified in Scripture, as such. There is nothing in the Bible that says, "Here is the age and from here on you are responsible!" I think the reason for that is because children mature at different paces. That would be true from culture to culture, and from age to age in history.

So the Lord in His wisdom didn't identify a specific moment. God knows when each soul is accountable. God knows when real rejection has taken place; when the love of sin exists in the heart. When enmity with God is conscious and willful. God alone knows when that occurs.

Comment: Jesus is going to take the little ones in the Rapture. He'll not leave them here to be used as bait for Antichrist's Mark of the Beast.

If you LOVE your kids; infants & older, everyone pray now to receive Jesus as Savior and Lord! Decide NOW. In the blink of an eye, is all we've got to make that decision. Put your most holy trust in Jesus.

The principle of giving is for all time . Give and it shall be given to you , it's more blessed to give than receive....

Remember in acts they sold a land and laid The money it at the apostles feet and held back part of it lying about it ?

There are no limits on giving .

It's up to the person on to decide how much to give in love , not because they must .

God loves a cheerful giver .

But to say that This verse applies to the church ? No it does not . Or the apostles would have said if it was or Jesus himself . So no it's not NT teaching .

  • PART ONE THE HOLY SPIRITS GIFTS - In Reply on Acts 2:41 - 3 years ago
    Acts Chapter 10

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on ALL of them which heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision (the JEWS), which BELIEVED were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles ALSO was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

46 For they heard them speak with TONGUES and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?

Truth is that THE HOLY SPIRIT has gifts; that we can ask for and receive. Get knowledge in 1 Corinthians chapters 12-14.

Generally speaking, people who are not sure about it, and do not have all the scripture laid down within; are sometimes afraid, the whole experience is daunting.

Tongues can be different: some speak another language, some people groan loudly: some speak as the Holy Spirit gives you an utterance. If it's prophetic, there will be 2-3 other prophets in the house who will know if that Word is from God, or out of a persons flesh. If there are no prophetically gifted people in the service; there will be no interpretation of the tongue. All must be done IN ORDER.

Just sitting in your prayer closet, praying in tongues makes no sense to your conscious mind, BUT does edify your own spirit. All the fatigue of all kinds drains away and then you feel energized. Angels harken to the Word of God, spoken.

I pray in tongues in my car, because people drive suicidal or homicidal. I drive with the angels. :D

It's not going to make sense to your brain (soul). It is your spirit that is being built up. Read all scripture on this. When you are positive this comes through the Holy Spirit that in-dwells within yourself spirit; you will someday ask the Holy Spirit for His gift, with the evidence of speaking in tongues. It will happen when you are praying or quietly reading the Corinthian chapters I mentioned. Just be open to the Holy Spirit. :)
  • PART TWOA RHEMA WORD FROM GOD - In Reply on Acts 2:41 - 3 years ago
Rhema is the word of God spoken to your spirit, quickened to your soul. The word that is hot and relevant to your current situation and condition. Rhema is personal and effective, it comes from the depth of God's heart, His spirit into your heart & your spirit. It imparts vigor, energy, strength, power, passion and fervency to you.

All the Old Testament prophets received Rhema from God which made a way for them in the spiritual wilderness. Elijah received a Rhema word from God which not only fed him in famine but saved the life of the widow and her son; gave them a continual supply of food when all around them was in draught.

His word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones Jeremiah 20:9

Rhema cries out to you, loud and clear.

When you are reading your Bible, a scripture jumps out of the page to speak to you, or a verse highlighted by the Holy Spirit to enlighten and direct your path. Whatever God tells you to do, He will equip you to do it; wherever God tells you to go, He will prepare for you the way to get there.

The fellowship with God in His Word is vital. The fire, the fervency, the calling comes when you fellowship with God in His Word. For you are face to face with Jesus!

Revelation of John 19:13: and his name is called The Word of God.

The Word imparts vision to you. You become a fired up, proactive, purposeful, God-sent person. Gone are the days of laziness, inactivity and boredom. Your life is no longer "a waste of time"! You become focused, organized and purposeful.

A lot of people out there find life so boring that they have to resort to drugs, alcohol, loud music etc to give them a high; but then when the illusion is gone, they are left worse than before. A person who suffers from depression swings between highs and lows. why? It's because they are not living a "real life", the God given life in Christ Jesus!

There is life in the Word, it is the life of God, the God kind of life.

What actually is the true meaning of "praying in tongues? Is it praying in actual known languages that you yourself have not been taught, or in a language that no one understands except by interpretation given by God?

    Acts 2:38

The Word of God is God ( John 1:1) and is not of any private interpretation ( 2 Peter 1:20).

The word 'Repent' means a lot more than what people by nature have been conditioned to believe. It is the key principle of all the teachings of Jesus Christ and the axiom (basis) of the Word of God and a prerequisite and primary requirement for the salvation of mankind. It actually means the changing of spirits - to turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God ( Acts 26:18).

For a better understanding and the 'spiritual truth' of what it means to repent, and learn how and by whom mankind has been deceived ( Rev. 12:9) and what people must do to be reunited with the true and living God, we invite you to seek Him according to the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive ( Matthew 7:7; John 14:17).

You need not that any man teach you ( Isaiah 54:13; 6:45; 1 John 2:27), as mankind follows after an image of a false god and a false Christ ( Matthew 24:24; Mark 13:22; Gal. 4:8; 2 Cor. 11:13-15; Rev. 12:9).

It is only by revelation of God that you will come to know Christ ( Daniel 12:4,9; Amos 3:7; Matthew 16:17; Luke 2:26; Romans 16:25; 1 Cor. 2:10; Gal. 1:16; Eph. 3:3,5; Rev. 1:1), and only then will you be able to overcome the spirit of this world ( 1 John 5:4; Rev. 3:21) and learn what it means to Repent.

The Book of Acts is so important.

Here in acts 2 we can see the proper position of Christ's church .

Their founder and foundation of the apostles all Jewish and they met in the TEMPLE. They where not called christians , but are of the commonwealth of Israel . Christian was a label that came at Antioch, not from God the father , Jesus or the Holy Spirit , or even Apostles. But most Likely the religious Jews or other people of influence.

Sorry no Catholic Church here or Protestant church either or so many of the cult like groups .

Read Acts and understand what the real faith is . Or at least grow your understanding only based in the scriptures. Forget the hundreds of denominations that can not agree on even what bible to read . KJV is a proven bible with blessings to those that listen to Gods words contained within . The word of God is precious to those that hear and obey . Men just deceive these days , here you go read Acts God has supplied for the truth seekers .

    Albert,

Can you please clarify your statement: "Baptism is necessary for salvation. If it were not necessary, then Jesus would not have allowed John to baptize Him."

It looks like you are saying that Jesus needed to be baptized for salvation? There was a reason why Jesus was baptized, but it had nothing to do with salvation.
  • Albert - In Reply on Acts 2:4 - 3 years ago
The proper of baptism is in the name of Jesus. There is no one baptized in the New Testament ever baptized under the titles Father, Son, HolyGhost. Father is not a name, Son is not a name, and Holy Ghost is not a name. These are titles. Jesus told them to baptize in NAME of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I am a father, and a son, and I have the Holy Ghost, but that is not my name. Jesus is the Name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost( John17:6; I Timothy 3:16; Acts 2:38, John 14:9) Jesus said except a man be born of the water and the Spirit he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Baptism is necessary for salvation. If it were not necessary, then Jesus would not have allowed John to baptize Him. We need baptism. Jesus did not die on the Cross for nothing. Sins are only remitted by the name of Jesus. Baptism remits sins. If we believe that His blood provided us with a door to get to God, we must repent of our sins, be baptized in Jesus name, and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost according to the scriptures. If we truly believe in the Blood of Jesus, then we will obey what He said about baptism.

Yes, stay true to your belief that Adam's wife was Eve. What you have been told by others is wrong, as that information (that Lilith was Adam's first wife) is based on some Jewish folklore that Lilith was created from the same clay as Adam & this legend developed further over the Middle Ages into various stories.

The Bible teaches us that God created Eve from the rib of Adam ( Gen 2:21) not from clay & the biblical account of their sin & that sin passed on to succeeding generations, can only be found in the God's Word. Only in the Bible can we find & learn of true history of those days, so keep reading it to learn more about God & his requirements for you.

The disciples were having Church: there may have been some visitors.

The manifestation of the Holy Spirit fell upon them and the physical pains and tiredness were replaced by the joy of the Holy Spirit____who is a real Person.

He's here for believers and we ought not grieve Him by saying there's a couple dozen drunks in the Church. I have been in meetings like that. It is the most awe inspiring experience I have ever felt!!

Another time it was a Wed. night and amazingly a lot of people came. Short sermon on negative confessions and talking trash to ourselves like: it'll never happen for me, or I'll never find a mate. By then we all did the "slip down" in our chairs; everybody looking at everybody else. Then Pastor said IF YOU WANT ALL THOSE NEGATIVE CONFESSIONS removed: come to the stage. Someone got up, then me and about 90% of the room went forward. I got within 10 feet of the Pastor and kinda slumped to the floor, seated. The Anointing was SO POWERFUL!! The Holy Spirit was doing some healing! Some of us were having trouble walking: kinda drunken looking.

ITS THE NEW WINE! Written in scripture.

Going back to my chair: there was about 15 hypocrites still seated that didn't go up. I know they probably wish they had; but pride can be hard thing to maintain.

I've had other experiences and each one was different. If people in Church will invite the Holy Spirit to come too; it's possible for everyone to be healed! He knows what we NEED. Alpha and Omega.

If you desire a closer walk with Jesus..you are the only one who can make that happen. It's about yielding to the Holy Spirit. Tell flesh and soulish attitudes to be still.

Someday the Holy Spirits presence is not going to be so powerful on earth; once the end times press forward. Invite Him to move into your life; every day; taking walks.

I sing to Him. But what's precious is when He sings a song to you. It's near your heart area and your spirit and soul unite with Him.

According to Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Repent-----You got to be sorry for all the sins you have committed (knowingly and unknowingly and those sins you are just plain ignorant of. Be baptized-----(In water) the submerging of the entire body. Ye (You shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost) ----The evidence of speaking in tongues (the language that only GOD, HIMSELF will give unto you. If a person has been baptized and the Speaking in tongues has not come immediately then the person must continue to pray then-surely GOD will place the language into your mouth. Thank GOD for placing His Holy Spirit in me. This Language is not of myself because I cannot do it by myself. When GOD places HIS Spirit (The Holy Ghost into a person, they will know that there is An Almighty GOD that lives within HIS people. This Gift is not of man and it cannot be measured by man and his limited (small amount of knowledge but it is from above) The GOD that sits in the Highest Heaven and rules the entire earth in which HE, HIMSELF GOD made. Please, GOD, help the readers of these words seek for the forgiveness of their sins, be baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ so that they can experience the Gift of GOD. LORD, we need YOU, the entire world needs YOU, LORD, Trouble on every side, we need YOU, The storms of life is ragging, YOU, DEAR GOD is our hope. YOU, FATHER GOD is sturring the world like the eagle stirs his nest, we are helpless with You, JESUS.

Acts 10 kjv. Alex comment about water baptism. 3 Times in the New Testament its recorded Jesus said John baptised you with water but i will baptise you with the H.G. AND FIRE . Jesus knew that all of his disciples had been water baptised but he warns them if i wash thee NOT you will have NO PART WITH ME which speaks volumes of a greater baptism then water. The foot washing was a heart washing satan had entered Judas heart and not his feet, its not our feet that defile us ,its our hearts, but Jesus said he that eats bread with me has lifted up his heel against me,but Judas neva assaulted Jesus with his feet,( his heel ) Judas assaulted Jesus with his heart.the scripture said that satan had entered the heart of judas to betray Jesus, Jesus said its the things that enter the heart of a man that DEFILES HIM. ITS not out personal hygiene that defiles its our Spritual hygiene that defiles us.Several of th disciples continued to water baptise after the Cross ( the blood ) But Peter was commanding water baptism, even saying who can forbid water in essence saying the BLOOD was insufficient. thats y the lord was so upset with Peter rebuking him 3 times with that sheet with all the UNCLEAN animals which was the Church that was made clean by the BLOOD of the lamb not water baptism peter was commanding. Paul was the only 1 who saw the error in water baptism saying it wd make the BLOOD OF NO EFFECT BY BAPTISING WITH WATER. God told Peter what i have made CLEAN (by the blood ) donot call common or unclean, Peter was impling that the baptism of the H.G did not made them Clean they still needed water baptism, a slap in the face of God. But after that Peter understood the vision he says Then remembered i the WORDS of our lord John baptised you with water but i will baptise you with the H.G and fire, THE Sheet was knit at the 4 corners the blood is knit in the 4 gospels th CROSS etc. Even in the O.T. without the shedding of blood there was no remission of SINS. The proper form of baptism is in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as Jesus designated in Matt. 28:19, "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.

That being said we split hairs on some scripture and I don't think it was in God's will to build a whole religious system on baptism. It is an external command that we be baptized unto his death and symbolic to the world we are Christians...Christ followers. We are not saved by baptism but by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

God bless you, my sister. You are so right. Salvation is in Acts 2:38. But it is sad that so many do not receive it. God is still pouring out the Holy Ghost on believers.

I love reading the comments, and have looked back pretty far to comments regarding the Book of Acts.

Salvation message in a nutshell is Acts 2:38. Someone once told me that the disciples got it wrong when they baptised in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ. How sad. Sad to are those who refuse baptism and call it a 'work'. 1 Peter 3:21 tells us that... baptism doth now also save us....

Lots of things to cover but for now my last point is using Websters, Collins etc dictionaries cannot be used for Biblical understanding. You need a Strong's concordance to give you the correct meanings.

I pray that you all blessed in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, as you study His precious Word.

    Willie,

Just stand on the scriptures, God will take care of the rest, He will honour Your stand on His Word.

    Acts 2:38 KJV

[38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Find someone who will baptise you in the name of the Jesus Christ, if you haven't already.

Then you will not be tossed about by every ones opinions.

    John 16:13 KJV

[13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

He will guide you into all truth.

    1 John 2:27 KJV

[27] But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

ye need not that any man teach you

There you go Willie, that's God's Word.

Stand on it, He promised it. Praise the Lord.

    Faith leads to obedience.

    John 15:7 KJV

[7] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

You want Him to settle this doubt, ask Him and believe Him when He said - it shall be done unto you.

    Matthew 24:35 KJV

[35] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

    God bless you
  • Mishael to Willie - In Reply on Acts 2:38 - 3 years ago
Sometimes you need to read a lot of scripture About the Holy Spirit to be CERTAIN about who He is and what He is all about. He is not a tongue.

If you are nervous about who the Holy Spirit is... He already knows you are. He'll wait till you search the scriptures to be settled in your mind, that He is the 3rd person of the Godhead; He is the Spirit of Christ Jesus. Jesus went to the Cross partly so we all who believe on Jesus can receive the Holy Spirit without fears. Knowledge is strength.

If your Bible has a dictionary OR a concordance; look up all those scriptures.

When you ARE SURE you want the Holy Spirit ?? Then hold up your hands and say this out loud: " Holy Spirit I trust you and I want everything that you want me to have". I receive it now by faith. Thank you Jesus!!

Amen! Praise God! So Be It! Hallelujah!
  • Jesse - In Reply on Acts 2:38 - 3 years ago
    Willie,

The only gift that is promised to those who receive Christ is the gift of the Holy Spirit. He gives us His Spirit. No other gift is promised to us. You had nothing to be embarrassed about. There are some who teach that speaking in tongues is evidence that you have the Holy Spirit. Some will also say that your inability to speak in tongues is because of your "lack of faith." There's a theological term for that. It's called Baloney! There is no such thing as a person who has been born of God's Spirit lacking faith. I have never spoken in tongues but I have no doubt that God's Spirit is working in my life. The tongues that are being taught in the church today are not the tongues of the bible. As far as getting re-baptized (Water), there is nothing saying you can't do that. Water baptism is an outward testimony of an inward change. In other words, you are giving a public testimony that you have received Christ and you are identifying yourself with His death, burial, and resurrection. Water baptism is a physical human expression. Jesus baptizes people with His Spirit. That is the baptism that saves you!
