King James Bible is not false sir and above all things we must be born again to make heaven, Jesus said himself no one will enter the kingdom without being born again John 3:3-21 it's not just for the Jews. Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 11:1-18 read it

I'm so sorry sir but no disrespect to anyone but the devil and all his angels have came to late to tell me that this isn't for us today because I got it just like the Bible said.... I repented of all my sins and God filled me with his spirit and I dare anyone to go down on their knees and call on Jesus repenting of their sins and ask him for the Holy Ghost cause he will show up.1998 my new birth
  • Nene on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Yes I am apostolic been born again of the water and the spirit and baptized in Jesus name this is real and I was a drug, alcohol user and a fornicator but after I repented of my sins God filled my soul with his spirit and I spoke in a language I have never heard and I was scared saying to myself what is this coming out my mouth but oh what a joy it's like fire shut up in my bones. Praise The Lord!!
  • Irene to Jacob on acts 2 on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
How is 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4 our salvation? and who is 'our? There are no definitive verses in 1 Cor. 15: 1-4 that point to salvation. Paul here is expounding on the Gospel of Jesus christ; his Gospel is our salvation - the whole bible. The Lord would not have put a book into His word that didn't apply to our salvation. That's 'confusion' - and God is not the author of confusion.
  • Irene on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
    are you Apostolic? I am.
  • Nene on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
To die out of the old ways is not always easy but if you just empty your heart in sincerity God will cleanse you. 1.Death = Repentance 2. Burial = Baptism in Jesus Name 3. Resurrection = The Holy Ghost, which is the spirit of God that you must receive in order to make heaven it wasn't just for Peter and the Apostles read Acts 5 where they commanded them not to preach Jesus but they obey God.
  • Nene on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Hello Mr. Robey as you read in Acts it is the acts of the Apostles which was left to us for instructions Jesus spoke in Acts 1:4-8 speaks of the power which is the spirit of God that he wants to place inside of us if we believe and obey he will fill you, now anybody that's honest with themselves will receive Jesus saying, He wants everyone to come to the knowledge of truth but not all obey.
  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Peter was given the keys to the kingdom of heaven which was turned down in Matthew 12:31, forgiven in Luke 23:34 and turned down again in Acts 7:51. Paul was sent to the Gentiles, Rom 11:13, Acts 9:15, 1 Tim 2:7, 2 Tim 1:11. No one asked what must I do to be SAVED in Acts 2. That question is asked and answered in Acts 16:31. Acts 2 is a Jewish message to Jews expecting the return their Messiah.
  • Nene on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Yes Mr. Robey read Matthew 16:18-19 where Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven and in Acts 2:37-47 you will see Peter in the mist when the people asked what must they do to be saved then Peter replied to them and The Lord added to the CHURCH daily such as should be saved, meaning follow the instructions that Jesus left with Peter for us to obey until the end. God Bless You...
  • Wellman Robey on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Is speaking in tongues the same today as in the early church. I have been in services where there was a message given but it didn"t sound like a foreign language
  • Carol Ford on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
This chapter tells us all how to be saved. Plain and simple. that question "what must i do to be saved" is answered here. they were added to "the" church, lettin us know we must be in the church that Christ died for in order to be saved.
  • Robert on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Very few will enter into the kingdom of God and very few people are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ acts 2 38. Who ever makes it to heaven will praise Jesus. Jesus is the word. God and Jesus are one. I am glad I go through Jesus God has given all things to the son's hand.Jesus speaks God is a spirit he don't talk, Jesus does it all through Jesus Christ. Thomas calls Jesus both my Lord and my God because he knew. Jesus is the way the truth and the life Amem and Amen, thank you Jesus Christ.
  • Vivian Collins on Acts 2:20 - 8 years ago
2 nights ago we had a blood moon. The Lord isn't going to be able to stand the sin that's going on in this world much longer. He's coming!! Get ready!! Repent!!
  • Joseph on Acts 2:3 - 8 years ago
I have personally experienced, "Cloven Tongues" that which is mentioned in the Bible, an had three witnesses. The words written, describing the event is as it is written. God's word is true! Amen!

  • Tom on Acts 2:36 - 8 years ago
Praise the lord " It's nice to know that people have a concern about there soul, and it takes a church. Those 1st 2 chapters in book of acts picks up from the last ch. of Luke. This where Christ's church started and the plan of salvation for all souls. He wish no one to be lost.
  • Dennis on Acts 2:31 - 8 years ago
Thinking about this logically answered the question for me. The penalty for sin is separation from God and eternal death. If Jesus was indeed the "firstborn from the dead" as the Bible says, and paid the price for our sin, it almost seems a heresy to preach that Jesus DIDN'T go into hell. We are told in Revelation that He has the keys to death and Hades. Where did He go to get them? But because He was MADE sin and did not commit them, He was there illegally, preached to the dead imprisoned there, and let them know He was out of there, rose from the dead, and THEN ascended to His Father. To say that He spent three days in only the Paradise half of Hades can't be right.

In the name of Jesus Christ receive the Holy Ghost.................please don't loose your souls it will not hurt you to take the time and talk to Jesus on your knees privately just try it instead of arguments, get real with him from a sincere heart anybody would rather be safe than sorry................. Acts 7:51 Read whole chapter Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. Romans 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Please give us the Scripture where we are commanded to ask God to fill us with the holy spirit the evidence of which is speaking in tongues. Tongues are for a sign 1 Cor 1:22. The Jews REQUIRE a sign 1 14:22. Every time tongues or languages were spoken Acts 2,10,19 Jews were present. They didn't believe the Gentiles could be saved. Acts 10:45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost. Peter was preaching the gospel of the Kingdom in Acts 2 to Jews see verse 2,14,22,36. They were waiting for Jesus to come back Acts 3:19-21! The kingdom was turned down with the stoning of Stephen. Notice Jesus was standing in verse 55. They rejected the Holy Ghost and Jesus saved Paul and told him to go to the Gentiles and revealed to him the mysteries that Peter wasn't aware of in Chapter 2. They get straight by chapter 15. Our church age doctrine is the Pauline epistles. We are saved by grace through faith without works Romans 4:5, Eph 2:8-9. Also if water baptism is a command, which it is, are unborn children obeying commands or is it a born again believer obeying a command to be water baptized?
  • Tami on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
I was reading it to get clarity on if you can receive the Holy Ghost without speaking in tongues
  • Paul on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Baptism is not a work but an act of obedience. We certainly have been commanded to be baptized by full immersion in water when we are old enough to understand why we are doing it. We must ask God to fill us with the holy spirit the evidence of which is speaking in tongues.
  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Oneness Theology teaches that God was in the mode of the Father in the O.T. God was seen in the O.T. not as a dream or a vision or an angel in the following verses Ex 6:2-3, Gen 19:24, Num 12:6-8 But Jesus said no non has seen the Father in John 6:46. If they were seeing God Almighty Ex 6:2-3 but it wasn't the Father who was it? John 8:58.
  • Ian on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Firstly, Mark 16:16 clearly says: 'He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned'. So belief and baptism are imperative to salvation. Secondly, only Jesus Christ has ascended to heaven as verses 31 - 33 explains. 31 He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. Only Jesus, you may ask, because as Peter states in verse 34 of this chapter of Acts 2: 'For David is not ascended into the heavens'. This is King David, whom God described as a man after His own heart. Resurrection to Judgement and then immortality is the scripturally defined process of salvation, based on a believers belief and baptism, not a free entrance with no obligation of change on a person's part into heaven. Regards Ian

Thank the Lord we have Scripture to go by. Romans 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. "Let God be true, but every man a liar as it is written."
  • JB on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Neither baptism alone nor faith alone saves, it is complete obedience to God s plan!
  • Nita on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
Hi Jess's out of your sincere heart keep seeking the word of God for yourself and you will find that every word of God is true and yes you must be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ as in Acts Chap.19 as some speak against as the people did in verse 9 in this chap.but study the word for yourself cause people will deceive you cause of the lack of knowledge. I'm speaking to you about this because of my own experience I came thru 4 different religious groups that never made a difference in my life and I'm not talking against anyone but this is my personal testimony when I got baptized in the wonderful name of JESUS.. I have never been that same person and you will feel a load lift up off you and be very eager to tell everyone you see I'm so excited that you are looking for answers just keep reading the word of God and you will find him. Read Isaiah 45:21-23, where every knee shall bow.. Philippians 2:10 God Bless You.
  • Jacob on Acts 2 - 8 years ago
If you are saved, you don't have to be rebaptized. If you are trusting your water baptism to get you to heaven then believe the gospel in 1 Cor 15:1-4 and trust Jesus Christ to save you then get Gentile water baptism Matthew 28:19. Water baptism doesn't save. Believing the gospel which is the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and trusting His shed blood to get you to heaven is what saves. 1 Peter 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

My brother tells me that I must repent and be baptised, I am already baptised, must it be done repeatedly?, or, since I was a baby the first time, or should I do it again as an adult?.
