I have no doubt that we would be undermining the huge cost that Christ paid to think that it was payment for anything less than "ALL" and All means ALL-He paid to purchase back everthing that was forfeited at the fall-now it is our responsibility to TAKE it back-How? We walk by Faith not by sight-the moment His promise is sown in our hearts the enemy makes every attempt to steal that good seed. Grace is the soil in which the seed grows-we don't earn what has been already provided we TAKE IT! by faith-it is a gift. Every blessing is a gift-lest any man should boast. The enemy uses guilt, condemnation, distraction, the cares of this world and anything he can to steal the seed. It is our responsibility to guard our heart/seed from all the above-after doing all to stand therefore-STAND!Don't give up-don't forfeit His promise to you of health/prosperity/blessing-Fight the good fight of Faith
Our God is a merciful God, full of loving kindness and unconditional love for mankind. His every wish for us, is to prosper in ' all things' including a 'totally healthy body mind and soul'. It follows therefore that, an unhealthy body and mind cannot nurture a healthy soul! We must continuously rise above the evil and wickedness of this earth, to preserve our souls fit for his kingdom. That is my understanding of God's desire and passion for us! I, glorify his holy name!
God wants us to live life in a holy matter but still live your life with happiness and by the the word of god in the light rather than darkness be thankful for each and every day that you get from the lord
I believe God is strategically encouraging us to pay close attention to His Words because His Words have life. He's not saying that we will all have prosperity and good health, but that is His unfailing desire for us. There are other components, such as, obedience and love involved in getting the prosperity and good health mentioned in 3 John 1:2.
God knows are needs and using John to let us know He is conforing us and letting us know He loves us and wants us to follow Him not the things of the world.
I think the Lord is wishing us health in all areas of our life, body, soul and mind. It does not matter who said it but every word that is spoken in the bible is by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
God is love and He wants everyone to prosper. He wants a heart that is teacheable and willing to follow all His commandments. Many claim that they love God but only part of the commandments they follow and are pleasant to their will. Most people around the world follow only nine. They justify the 4th commandment so that they can follow what they want. If we want to prosfer both physical, spiritual, and financial, we need to obey Him with no reservation and God will bless us and be in health. Money is just secondary. In Matt. 6:33 He says But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all this things shall be added unto you. He will be our priority. God bless
III John 1 is a great chapter, and it tells us that God wants us to prosper, even as thy soul prospers, and to be in good health. To do this we need to feast on the Word of God. Jesus said man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Next we need to watch our diet, and see that we do not over eat. How many people are suffering from type II diabetes because they did not do this. We are what we eat, and portion control is very important to all of us. As we follow these guidelines, we will experience the prosperity that God intends for all of us, and we will be a blessing to others in the body of Christ.
I think this is John's greeting. Isn't suffering how our soal grows and is sculpted. If we are unhealthy, are we unworthy, or lack in faith? Can anyone translate this as God promising all of us that we will not be subject to health and financial trials if our faith is great. Faith is strong but we still need perseverance through trials so we are not lacking anything, right?
I believe that the word of God is given to us inspired by his Holy spirit living in us and gracefuly given to us not that we deserveGods truth or that we are worthy but he out of his love and mercy has given his only beggoten son as ransom for our sins and betral we do not deserve or can demand anything from God only pray and faithfuly believe in him and obey his commandments and teach and exort and pray and lead others with his love and his power living in us of those who he decides to live in and finds worthy God is true power and there is no other more than him or will ever be......amen
ROM.8;28even while seeing a so -called leader faltering ,good growth will come of it by all observers.i have seen from experience that men in a CHRISTIAN drug /alcohol program would try to sabotage their own sobriety effort because a teacher of the rehab would fall.JESUS NEVER FAILS..
To Katoe's, just keep on showing love. If love can't win them nothing will. I had a co-worker that despised me because of a permotion for over twenty years. But now she is my best friend. If your friend is a christian and serious about serving God He will reveal truth to her always and one day she will accept it. God Bless you both.
"For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth." ( III John 1:3)
It's good to have Gaius's.
III John 1:9, says, "I wrote unto the church: but Diotrephes, who loveth to have the preeminence among them, receiveth us not. Wherefore, if I come, I will remember his deeds which he doeth, prating against us with malicious words: and not content therewith, neither doth he himself receive the brethren, and forbiddeth them that would, and casteth them out of the church." ( III John 1:9-10)
Diotrephes was a head in the church, but he was not walking in truth.
It's good to know if a Diotrephes is not walking in truth, there is a Gaius who is.
Gaius received commendation for walking in truth. He was commended for not only helping those who were "brethren," but, also for helping the "strangers." He received and helped those who went forth for the name of Jesus Christ.
He was commended for doing the right thing; that right thing being, walking in truth; specifically, receiving and helping those who had gone out for the name of Jesus.
Diotrephes behavior was characterized as being evil. Gaius was exhorted not to follow that which was evil, (Diotrephes's example) but, to follow that which was good. Gaius was told, "He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God." ( III John 1:12)
It would seem the implication here is Diotrephes has not seen God, though he was exerting a leadership in the church.
Diotrephes loved preeminence among the church; Gaius walked in truth.
Diotrephes was separated from truth and that created division; Gaius walked in truth and love. When the work of God can be hindered by a Diotrephes, God has Gaius.
I BELIEVE THE LORD WANT US TO PROSPER BE HEALTHY BUT MOST OF ALL HE WANT US TO GROW SPIRITUALLY AS WELL; THE GROWTH OF OUR SOUL (SPIRIT MAN) DETERMINE HOW HEALTHY AND WEALTHY WE BECOME
what will you do in a situation where be you are doing good to your friend and she is not responding positivly she is paying you back with evil, even told you to mind your own buisness?
According to this chapter I see John warning against man made doctrine and we should shy away from these things that seem right to a man but lacks Godliness They are dangerous and verge on parasitical practices Jesus had a name for that so lets follow the word so all men will see Christ in us I sign One Too
