This response affords me an opportunity to add to the comments made via the subject matter stated by others. It is this writer's contention that a revealing is coupled with an indictment and exposure. The wicked attempting to thwart, impose and implement evil upon a world/universe their designs is and was known in the omniscient CREATOR. Your completing the near sum of and full circle eventuating THE CREATOR'S wrath will lead you to believe your lying schemes. It lingers not many more days. What's laughable is you won't neither can do any different. People of destined perdition. STRAIGHT AHEAD!!!

What can one say really . My blood runs cold . Nevertheless If the Lord through Paul had not in his great mercy given us this crucial warning for just this moment of history I truly believe hopeless chaos and unrestrained evil would have triumphed already. Imagine what the world would be without Gods word . It would be a kind of desperate hopeless thrashing in the darkness. What a miraculously small thing to be so immense. A few words in black and white but so powerful that the vast evil we now see so clearly in its full horror, encompassing the entire planet, trying to crush every life and destroy every soul is, for every believing Christian, undone by Gods word. In this chapter world encompassing evil and the machinations and plots of the insanely powerful are humbled in the presence of Gods' foreknowledge and power. It is very very bad right now and we all know its going to get a lot worse, but we read this chapter ( and others of course) and we don't have to despair. I always understood before the evil really came down hard that in this chapter Paul was speaking of things God had allowed him to know. It is that for sure but now that the rubber has well and truly hit the road doesn't the spirt of Jesus come through incredibly strongly. The minimal necessary, disclosure, is utterly enough. That's pure Jesus. I don't know if that makes senses to anyone else but to me in this present desperation I feel strongly in this chapter the mildness and the strength of our Lord that doesn't have or need missiles or laboratories or underground cities. Paul can confidently afford to put everything we need in a few paragraphs and wham bam enough said. But for all of its brevity there no minimizing the magnitude of the evil either. Jesus is gentleness mildness and some serious wrath. I have not expressed things all that well but Forgive me my sins Lord and hold America in your hand we know the deal is going down. PRAISE to the Lord God almighty.

How to remember scripture? I am a former drug addict and find reading and comprehension not compatible in the real sense. I think I am not learning as I I should?

I wonder is this how the Holy Spirit works? Is this how the spirit breaks down the fleshly way of thinking?

The real stories in the bible I learned as a child, but still must be reminded of them even now! If we do not read the word, there would be no refreshing of the knowledge of the truth!

Strength and perseverance, come from Hearing the word! U may memorize it all u want, If it does not abide in your heart, it will be as the flower that dies and fades away! Knowing Jesus is the heart of the matter, gaining insight of who He is, and His love for man , is what you should memorize!

Remember This! He hung on a cross for the world!

Hello Godfrey. Psalm 119 is a Wisdom Psalm concerning the Law of God & is written as an alphabetic acrostic in which each stanza of eight verses is devoted to the successive letters of the Hebrew alphabet. So as you read the Psalm from verse 1, you will notice the first letter in the Hebrew alphabet (Aleph), then at verse 9 (Beth), verse 17 (Gimel), and so on. Of course, if a Hebrew-speaking person had to write those words in English, he may spell them slightly differently, but the essence of each letter is the same as shown in this Psalm.

    John 1:1-4, 14

In the beginning was the WORD, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the WORD was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten (SON) of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
  • Chris - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
I do indeed: God said: "This is my beloved Son, in Whom I am well pleased".

But Who was the Son before His incarnation? In other words, was He always a Son?

    Hi Bob.

    Quoting You -

""Really ? You don't believe the Bible that says there are more that corrupt the word of God and many false teachers etc !

Really you said what you said ?""

    End quote..

I didn't say any of what you just quoted.

I believe people add to the Scriptures ( by their teachings ). Much like you did by attempting to state would I said.

Do I believe there's false teachings?

Yes! Have you noticed we deal with that everyday on this site!!

But false teachers isn't the topic on this thread,

    I responded to you saying-

    Quoting you again.

""There are many ways to remove scriptures from the Bible , and they have been doing it for centuries"".

    End quote.

To sum up my 2 replies I began with God can reserve his word, He's Almighty!!

The volume of the book is written of Christ and it don't hinge on one verse.

Jesus said my sheep hear my voice,

" They follow Jesus not false teachers "

He want let them go astray!! And I trust the Chief shepherd.

John 10:4-5. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, AND THE SHEEP FOLLOW HIM: FOR THEY KNOW HIS VOICE.

AND A STRANGER WILL THEY NOT FOLLOW, BUT WILL FLEE FROM HIM: FOR THEY KNOW NOT THE VOICE OF STRANGERS.

    Trust him Bob.

    God bless. .

Ther are more than one KJV Bible version. New King James, annotated versions, etc. Do a search on google.

Look on the inside cover to see what version you have.

There is an entire Bible on this website. The page you land on when you enter this website.

That whole page is LINKS you can search on.

Why not stop being afraid of them and just explore what's available to you?
  • Faith on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
Do you believe the fathers witness at Jesus baptism, this is my Son ?

If not you make God a liar .
  • Mari lyn on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
Yes, believing in Christ is a must. We must also know our God and obey the gospel. Follow Christ in all his ways in holiness. The Bible also says to dress modest. When we have our heart right w the Lord, our outer appearance will shine. Those that are God's people will have the indwelling of the Holy Ghost. We can not live for God without his Spirit. We are to be ambassadors for Christ. Amen

I watched a billy Graham interview, he actually met 2 people that had the NT memorized , can we put you into that elite category? Or do you need search engines?
  • Bob - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
Really ? You don't believe the Bible that says there are more that corrupt the word of God and many false teachers etc !

Really you said what you said ?
  • S Spencer - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
God gave revelation to Balaams donkey, I doubt he can read at all.

Do we forget who God is?

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

When man decided to do something like take something out of Gods word, he was standing outside of time looking at him before the world was formed. HES ALL MIGHTY!!!

Just preach the truth what's in you and let God be God.

    God bless.
  • S Spencer - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
    Hi Bob..

As incouragement I believe the Lord hand is mighty!! He has No problem reserving his precious word.

Can you imagine IF little man can snatch a word or 2 out of scripture and derail Gods redemptive plan for all creation? That would render Christ dying on the cross and the resurrection as vain. Our salvation wasn't the only thing depending on the cross, Our sanctification, spiritual walk, and Wisdom depends on it as well.

    HE CANT!

If you took John 3:16 out the bible it wouldn't make not difference, The message is embodied throughout the scripture.

Isaiah 28:9-10 . Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts.

For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:

And yes we should study ALL the scripture, However your increase comes from the Lord, not repetition.

The natural man no not the things of the Lord, neither can he.

You can read the Bible a 1000 times and still be a baby in Christ or not in Christ at all.

It's his word in you that bares fruit.

    God bless.

Oh my ! Please dont say that Bob ! Do you really think that some people dont read the Bible properly ,as a book or books ? No way ! Please tell me no one is dumb enough to risk their own salvation by just reading bits of it ! However ,that might explain some of the off kilter answers that are posted here ,please ,any one who doesnt or hasnt ever read the whole Bible more than ten times ,dont try to answer questions .
  • Bob - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
There are many ways to remove scriptures from the Bible , and they have been doing it for centuries.

The most common way today and you can go on almost any web site

It's through the word search , they do not include all words and verses where they can be found .

Many people do not read the Bible in book form and miss out on many verses that do not show up in word searches.

I highly recommend reading the Bible in a systematic way rather than through word searches jumping around the Bible . But word searches are convenient but also incomplete.

Why does this KJV website not have verses in it that are in my KJV , important verses . We are in apostate times indeed .
  • Sarah - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
Thank you Pastor: Today's culture is the embracing of inclusion as I am sure you are aware. Parents are maligned if they dare speak out against the sins of the children. It is getting more difficult to stand against the sweeping darkness of sin. Sarah
  • Pastor-Ronnie Williams - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
To: Sarah on 2 Thessalonians 2:11, Jesus tells us in Matthew 10:36-37 (And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.) True Christians will have the desire to separate themselves from any form of sin and in the process it will hurt some feelings. I love my wife, my children, but I Love God and Jesus more! Ephesians 5:11 ( And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.) Sometimes it is really hard to forsake all and follow Jesus, after its all done, it will be worth it! God bless and I hope maybe in someway this helps.

Adam....thank you. What are your thoughts on gender dysphoria?
  • Adam - In Reply on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
I can relate as I just found out today that a family member came out as gay and the parents (Christian) seem to be supportive of it. I was sickened when I heard about this. People are being deceived into adopting the evil world's version of morality over God's. There is nothing natural about sodomy or the twisted perverted sex that gays have. It violates the beautiful way God designed us and is like slapping Him in the face. Hell is a real place and most people will go there. I think many will assume they're 'saved' Christians, but will be surprised and cry out Lord, Lord in the end. People will then realize their folly of disregarding God's laws and their blind following of the world's values instead. The world will lie and deceive and claim Christians are bad for denying people who they can 'love', which of course is an intentional deceptive logical fallacy. God commands us to love others. It's the evil twisted dirty disgusting perverted unnatural sex that God despises and judges accordingly. So, I think if someone wants to go to hell then violating God's commands is probably the fastest way to accomplish that. But I really hope people wake up and start trying to avoid that place. It's not works, but grace we're saved, but to be an actual Christian you must put effort into following Jesus if you want any hope in the afterlife.
  • Sarah on 2 Thessalonians 2:11 - 2 years ago
I have been struggling with the fact that parents who support and align themselves with their children's sins are losing their own spiritual connection with God. If you tell them their sin is ok and you even support it, you will face judgment for that. If any believers have a few words on this subject I would be grateful.
