1 Thess 4 is where are the dead and they are returning with Christ 7th trump and we can't proceed them. Why? Because they are with Him coming here to set up His Kingdom and when He returns to Jerusalem which is the gathering place for all those worshipping a fake Christ that is instead of Christ which is to say antichrist the land will be flattened, hail stones fire. But we who wait will be fine.

The word is unto the church to encourage them to stand with each other's and that God will revenge his people. Also to the unbelievers to get it right.

Paul is encouraging those believers that God will avenge those who are persecuting them. Our good Lord has it all under control whether it seems like it or not. The rapture will take place, the man of sin will be revealed and finally the Lord will take His vengeance We who are truly born again do not need to worry at all or be afraid. We are the object of Christ's love! His body and bride!

Verse 6 is a good point to keep in mind that God is righteous or just and he will repay tribulation to those who trouble us.

Verses 6,7 are a real good point to keep in mind. It talks about how God will repay tribulation to those making tribulation for us. Tee question then is: when?
vs. 7 Jehovah will avenge his loyal ones once and for all at the day he appoints his king Jesus Christ to judge the world.

Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come and even now already is it in the world. 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

Remember one another in your prayers, and the other. That the glory of God maybe seen by the unbeliever by your faith. For this is the love of God in you .A vessel filled with the gifts of God. For we are one body one church; Jesus Christ.
  • Herminia on 2 Thessalonians 1 - 8 years ago
Paul understood that believers are the church of God in Jesus Christ. God the Father entrusted the gospel to Paul to strengthen his brothers in faith and love toward one another and to all men. Paul 's glory was their patients and faith during times of persecution and suffering for the sake of the gospel. Jesus chose Paul, and told him how much he would suffer for the sake of the gospel. Those we are born again are chosen by God, and they will also suffer for the sake of the gospel. But we are to counted all joy that we are counted worthy of God 's kingdom. God is righteous, and we will suffer for his goodness. God will bring suffering on them that trouble us.

God 's will is that our faith and love grows exceedingly when we give him thanks in everything we do. Also nothing should touch our lips without giving him thanks. Those who work for our Lord Jesus Christ are highly treated with love and respect, for the sake of work of the Lord. We walk worthy of God 's calling treating all people with support, comfort, kindness, and love. Paul assures the Thessalonians that we are children of the Light, and the children of the day. No one knows the time and the season but there is not concern for us when he comes. When he comes it will be without warning, but God has not appointed us to his anger. Jesus died for us. Romans 8:31-38 He who spared not his Son, but gave Him up for us all, will he not also freely give us all things? Destruction will not over takes us, because we are in Jesus! Our rejoicing and glory is in our brothers and sister whom the Lord God has saved. Knowing that the Heavenly Father has chosen us in His Son Jesus.

I think it is best to hand over every problem to God and allow him to handle it. He knows best how and when to do it. Because we are humans, we often judge in error but God who sees in secrets knows all. He said, vengeance is mine, i will recompense and because by two immutable in which God cannot lie, he will definitely pay back those who afflict us.

What a hell awaits those that do not believe in the bible and rightly so what else would be expected. Jesus is the way the truth and life and no body comes unto the father except thru him

Rhonda, one of the most important aspects of Jesus ' return is that his feet WILL NOT TOUCH THE GROUND! Satan will do all he can to replicate the coming of Jesus so as to fool even the very elect however, satan 's feet will be touching the ground...no matter what form he takes at the many times he tries to deceive.
  • Martha on 2 Thessalonians 1 - 9 years ago
Rhonda, you can find your answer in Revelations 19:11-13 11 And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
  • Rhonda Carter on 2 Thessalonians 1:8 - 9 years ago
Does the word teach us Jesus will return in a flame of fire or on a white horse?

  • Word on 2 Thessalonians 1 - 9 years ago
At judgment at the great white throne if your rewards are bad and not good then you are blotted out but no one has been judged yet and there is a holding place that has a void between the holding place for those unbelievers and heaven where those who believe are with the Lord. In the psalms it tells us that the wicked go up like smoke off fat on that judgment day and there are no tears in heaven so you will never remember the loved ones you lost that were blotted out.

I don 't understand the person who said we would be destroyed like clothes being burned in a fire, ceasing to exsist. The parable of lazarus, says that when the rich man died, he was tormented in flames. Luke chpt.16 vs.23 again in Matthew chapter 25 vs 41 Jesus on words tell that an unprofitable servant would be cast into everlasting fire, and this come from Jesus mouth when speaking of the last judgement.when Jesus spoke to the the if next to him on the cross he was, I believe speaking of his soul being with him at rest until the day of judgement when all souls will be resurrected at the last judgement.

I think it is just as it is written. Its not what we think, its what is said.Someone was constantly hurting my husband so I took his name and picture and put it into the Bible on this verse. The person that made my husbands life miserable got cancer and died.I only asked God to take care of this matter and he did.I had no control over it.I did not ask for anyone to die!We cannot hurt others and expect to get by with it.We will pay for what we do.We are given permission to ask God to make them pay.If we try to pay them back on our own,its wrong because this is Gods business. Its only righteous if God is in it.
  • EDWIN on 2 Thessalonians 1 - 10 years ago
    its encouraging
  • Angela I Holder on 2 Thessalonians 1:8 - 10 years ago
This verse means simply what it says. There is no need for interpretation, for the LORD JESUS allowed Paul to write it in specifics, not parable. The mystery is unfolded for us. If you do not believe on the LORD JESUS than this is the end of the reign of your grace.
