The New Testament is filled with so many wonderful passages warning us to remain steadfast in our faith and to endure until the end. God promises that he will never forsake us, but, we as sinners need to be mindful that although we are saved through faith we are also kept by faith.
  • Timothy Sims for verse 17
What a powerful book and chapter! Peter understands that the Lord's coming back and implores us to be ready. He gives strict warnings to us not to be led away with the error of the wicked... once saved, always saved? Only if you don't walk away or are not led away that he wonít leave us. But we can leave him... The bible bears this out through and through. Donít forget these letters.
