Dossie; I don't know where that term came from; "The Church Age, or, The Age Of Grace;" but I think a better description would have to include, "The Time Of the Ambassadors of Christ and the Ministry of Reconciliation." The Day of the LORD will be the taking by force of the dominion and rule of the earth, the removing of the wicked, INCLUDING THE DEVIL AND HIS ANGELS; to set up the kingdom of God.

Verse 10 is not a contradiction. This verse is speaking about the Day of the LORD, when the Jews and others will undergo the wrath of the tribulation (Matthew 25 and 2 Thessalonians 1). 1 Thessalonians 1 talks about the end of the church age or the age or grace when Christ will return for the saints. He will come in peace to collect the living and dead who believed and return to heaven.
