“In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.”

20:1 Those days - In the year of the Assyrian invasion. Set, &c. - Make thy will, and settle the affairs of thy family and kingdom. Not live - Such threatenings, though absolutely expressed, have often secret conditions.

    its always good to do good. Hezekiah was added 15 yrs for there is something good he did and made God to remember.

    We should always submit to the Almighty God in all things with a humble heart. Always giving HIM thanks for what HE does for us. We are to take advantage of every opportunity to share what HE does for us. There are times what we want is not within HIS will, therefore we should thank HIM and accept it. We must not be haughty or allow pride get in the way of being obedient to the Almighty God

    Peggy, Amen Hezekiah was full of pride and short sighted and not as grateful for his healing, length of life, and other victories that GOD gave him. Some biblical scholars believe he lived to long and should have obeyed GOD's plan to call him home when he called. Glory be to GOD in the highest through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

    what I learned was focus on healing given and give God the credit, but do not show the enemy
    all you have because of this, his healing lead to pride. He was only happy because he would live
    in peace rest his life time and gave no thought of his family and those who be left behind and nor did he try to teach them from this. Out if fear of dying he didn't make right choices when give more life.
