  • Terry Dockins on 2 Corinthians 6:17
I believe God wants us to not stay away from sinners or unbelievers because we need to tell them of the goodness of Jesus but he don't want us believers to hang out and do what sinners do. Once we have been born again and live a life of holiness Jesus don't want us to go back to our old ways and habits we have to stay from amongst wrong doings because we are different now and we suppose to let our light shine to others so we can draw them to Christ
  • Donna Adkins on 2 Corinthians 6:6
why did judas betray jesus I know what he did but why did he do it
  • Jesse - in Reply on 2 Corinthians 6:6
    Donna,

Jesus chose Judas as one of the 12 because He needed someone who was evil to carry out this plot as it was predicted in prophecy. He didn't make him evil. He chose an evil person to fulfill that purpose.
  • Alex on 2 Corinthians 6
In Pharoahs dream he saw 14 kine come outta of the River symbolic of a 14 yr famine 7 yrs good 7 yrs bad, but the point is each animal was symbolic of 1 yr. Are the 2 k swine that jesus sent into the River PROPHETIC of a 2 k yr famine that was coming on the earth not a famine of natural bread but a famine of hearing his word the bread of life.We have not heard his voice in 2 k yrs.Jesus said the days are coming when the bridegroom will be taken away then shall you fast in those Days DAYS ARE PLURAL 2 days 2 k yrs we have been in a spritual famine world wide.Jesus said i am the light of the world but the night comes when no man can work.Jesus waited till the 3 rd day to feed the multitudes.GB
  • Sheba on 2 Corinthians 6
Truth is the armour of righteousness. Surround yourselves with believers. "Come out from among them and be ye separate". Unfriend, unholy and unrighteous people they do not live in truth. We cannot be deceived by the ungodly laws of this world with unclean and ungodly behaviors. God receives us as his daughters and sons when we live sanctified and holy. Sin is not acceptable to God.
  • Verse 17 We must keep ourselves free from practices and customs that are not in line with the Bible. Jehovah God views these as unclean.
  • Hazel Carty on 2 Corinthians 6
For I love you Lord and I lift my voice to w worship you oh my soul rejoice,
  • He is letting us know that faith produces works, he has an investment in us and is looking for a return. I n the business world it is known as roi. Return on investment.Jesus said my father works and higher to i work, Christ demonstrated faith by works.we are not alone he is with us. With him we can do great things. With out him we can do nothing
  • A disciple on 2 Corinthians 6
The Scripture says that we are only to share the yoke with our own kind. In the Law it was forbidden to mix linen with woolen garments; and so also, not to plow your fields with a team of Ox and Ass together. Come apart and be ye separate means that we are not of the world even as Jesus is not of the world; and the true mark of conversion will be a heart and all its desires severed from the world.
  • Consider unequally yoked and equally yoked. Certainly, we are not to be equally yoked (meaning the same as). Here it is saying that we should not even be unequally (not the same as or similar) yoked, but be separate, totally separate! Otherwise, the scripture would not have went on to say, "come out from among them", meaning to be away from or apart from. This is not just in the sense of marriage.
  • Verse 4: In every way and aspect of life we want to show that we are ministers of God.
  • Verse 13: We should widen out in our affections by getting to know and helping those of different races, ages, and nationalities. In this way we can imitate Jehovah God.
  • Charles Bonsu on 2 Corinthians 6
    Amen.
  • A disciple on 2 Corinthians 6
Hi Kurt; I like what you said regarding "our own whims, emotions, and personalities," and that "we must keep the discipline of God's intentions within us." The Word, "LET this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus;" like in the Proverbs, "LET thine heart retain MY WORDS;" our discipleship is toward moral excellence out of a good and honest heart, PROVING what is acceptable TO GOD in TRUTH.
  • Kurt on 2 Corinthians 6
How can we bring the Gospel to sinners without sinning? Take another Christian and have an entry and exit plan. Arm yourself with the Truth (Jesus), and the Spirit. Allow God to work his love towards sinners thru us, yet remain safely separate in the Armour, lest we may fall. We are subject to our own whims, emotions, and personalities, yet we must keep the discipline of God's intentions within us
  • Ray321 on 2 Corinthians 6
Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
  • Verse 2 is quoting Isaiah 49:8. Now is the especially acceptable time. We don't want to miss the purpose of God's undeserved kindness.
  • Bruce on 2 Corinthians 6
Jim: Yes, Unevenly Yoked in anything: But its mostly used for Marriage. Most believe They Will draw the other to Christ,But---? One Looks to The Light the other to Darkness. We can help the Lost. I will help anyone with almost anything, the Price: Hearing The Way of Salvation. I sometimes take them Fishing or invite for Supper. Sometimes One will go to Church.
  • Jim Kirkpatrick on 2 Corinthians 6
Being unequally yoked with unbelievers is correct, but it means not to run with them not to restrain from witnessing to them.
  • Wayne on 2 Corinthians 6
Ask God for a Christian young lady or young man to marry. God knows what you need and where they are. And ask the Holy Ghost to bring your hearts together in His love. I did and been married, to same Christian woman, 52 years. God Bless.
  • Bruce on 2 Corinthians 6
My son,Bruce died Thanksgiving day 2012. He was 42 years old. He eat dinner went outside, fell over. Aneurysm. His Mom died five years earlier. Doing dishes, just fell over.Aneurysm. • Irene123 on 2 Corinthians 6
V.10 - As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; - I've had 2 recent experiences with this - as I know many of you have. About 2 1/2 mos. ago my 46 yr. old son had a heart attack, his heart stopped, they got it going again; he's fine now. Then this past Dec. 13 I came down with flu/pneumonia for 2 wks. Mighty prayer was sent up for us both of us by the ch. I'm fine, but thru it all I could REJOICE!!
  • Bruce on 2 Corinthians 6
Christina: the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband. 1Corinthians 7:10-16 Both will not go to heaven only those who are born again. Unevenly yoked will be hard. A believer should never marry an unbeliever! Have you been called John 6:44,forgiving 1John 1:9,you will be:Matthew 3:11. You will know, impossible not to know 2Corinthians 5:17
  • Christina on 2 Corinthians 6
Being unequally yoked can defile the believer,as well as the believer never inherit God's Kingdom
  • Barbara on 2 Corinthians 6
This world is not our home so why get comfortable here. We do not belong here if we are Christians. It is like visiting. It is not our home and we dont belong so we dont make ourself too comfortable.
  • Ibukun Abioye. on 2 Corinthians 6:17
Separating yourself from among them does not mean in isolation, don't completely isolate yourself from them. But, you don't do what they count as a normal thing. There is this adage that says and I quote "If you cannot beat them, you join them". Pls, don't join them because light and darkness cannot stay together, its a fact that darkness cannot withstand light.
  • Lilian on 2 Corinthians 6
We need to invite the Holy Spirit in every moment of our lives. God is available all the time and His door is always open. We must obey his words and commandments. We must meditate his words day and night all things that we need will be added and we will be always prosper. Listening to his words are more powerful than prayers. Our prayers must be completed with thanksgiving and praising God for his love endures forever. His love and mercy is always with us. Thanks to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us. Amen

it was the word of today for me and it warned me to be pure and change my life style to be come a better Christian, and stop doing the things God has delivered me from
  • Emerald on 2 Corinthians 6:17
Separate yourself from anything you used to worship or do still worship other than Me. Draw close to me with your whole heart, let nothing worldly or dirty come between us, worship only Me and I will be everything you need.
  • Babatunde Fadairo on 2 Corinthians 6:2
God want us to be very attentive to him and he want us to call him and find him at any acceptable time, the fact is that all times are acceptable in the site of the lord but we must make our self available.
