Sir, I don't know what report of 'men' it ever speaks of in God's inspired word {KJV} but a report from men 'of' Christ's life, death, resurrection, and ascension. Also no variety of conditions and reports, sir, is anyones 'way' to heaven.
There is only one way to heaven, and that is through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ... Amen. Thanks to God and Prayers.

I believe the Lord is refering to the false relitious world, to seperate yourselves from them....as they are unclean

I love the Lord with all of my heart. I go to my fapther everyday and pray. The Lord is my best friend, I know he is there for me always. It is best to stay close to the Lord and to be with people who also believe.

We as Christians are not to be unequally yoked with non believers. That is speaking for marriage, when we marry and have sex we are yoked together (become one flesh) we are not to do this because the christian will want to live a life and raise children a certain way while non believers will oppose. We are to come out from our non believer friends also. This does not mean cut them off but 'Come out from them", meaning dont hang out with them and do the things they do. Come out from them.

Unless the LORD builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
    Psalm 127:1 ESV

this scripture not only speaks of marriage but also of being in close relationship with non believers. IE. Friends , what fellowships does light have with the darkness is saved by the blood of Jesus and unsaved. Jesus was and is the son of God he is the only one who went to the unsaved to teach and preach and love them into seeing their own , need for him . religion is an Institution made by man . not God. God calls us to a relationship with him, His Spirit and His Son. If we are genuinely seeking God and a relationship with Him , you will not be caught up in being unequally yoked with any nonbeliever . the question we need to ask ourselves is are we witnessing to them as nonbelievers or are they influencing us to backslide away from God.......

means separation. does not mean continuation
of what we used to do, with the people we
    used to do things with.
  • R. D. Mattock on 2 Corinthians 6 - 11 years ago
Today is the appointed time, not tomorrow. God said my Spirit will not always strive with man. The word tomorrow has sent more people to hell. We read these words in the Bible from Felix (my interpretation); Paul stops the message and at a more convenient time I will get saved. We never read where he did give his heart to Jesus.

    @Lori Wilson,
To be unequally yoked together with unbelievers does not limit to marriage relationship; in fact its a misinterpretation of this scripture. It simply means dont walk in the way of the wicked ones, because the wicked ones feel comfortable with those ways, while we as believers will very very uncomfortable with such ways. Believers will unprotected and unsafe walking in those ways, while unbelievers may walk in them out of duty ( Isaiah 29:20). So that is the unbalance the apostle Paul is speaking of.
As to marrying a person who is from another religion, I believe the key is love and how you agree to live as a married couple. You may succeed to convert your spouse to Christianity, likewise your spouse may convert you to his/her religion. So, all depends on how strong and spiritual you are. And as believer, I understand you dont engage in a relationship by chance, but you seek first Gods direction and guidance ( Proverbs 18:22). Please remember that some of the unbelievers are Christians, but as the devil has blinded their minds, they just chose to walk in darkness, of those too, the Apostle Paul says we must turn away ( 2 Timothy 3:5).
    God bless you.

What else could Jesus be referring to when he says come out from among them.
  • Timothy Wayne George on 2 Corinthians 6 - 11 years ago
As ministers of the gospel, we must be very careful not to give an offence in any thing. Paul said I stand in defense of the gospel. We must approve ourselves to be true ministers of the Lord Jesus Christ, even when evil reports come out about us. They called Jesus Belial, and he said the servant is no greater than the master. We should suffer long for the cause of Christ, and not for our faults. So since we have Jesus as a pattern for our suffering, we must look unto him as the author and finisher of our most holy faith. We must live holy lives, by coming out from among the cares of this world, and by being in right fellowship with believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is true that we must warn those who are planning to get married to make sure they are equally yoked to believers only. God is our
Father, and we are his sons and daughters when we touche not the unclean thing as he has commanded. Only by the grace of God can we do all these things, so it is important that we have not received his grace in vain.

i was researching re:contibutions to the church, and found this in article that we should not take funds from unbelievers... Perhaps yes, since 1 Cor 16, tells us the collection is for the SAINTS
therefore, then why take from UNBELIEVERS for the SAINTS,
  • Ayere on 2 Corinthians 6:1 - 11 years ago
The grace of GOD in your life is for a purpose.it must be discovered, inoder for it not to be in vain.
  • Todd on 2 Corinthians 6:14 - 12 years ago
To me this talks about the 50% divorce rate in usa. A marriage of one believer to a non believer, cannot possibly succeed
  • King James Copeland on 2 Corinthians 6:17 - 12 years ago
This scripture is real right here its light the Lord see his light upon you and just you out like he Saul the when GOD annointed him his name was changed to Paul, that even though he killed for a living, the Lord still said come from amongs thoughs and take heed to my work
  • Boma on 2 Corinthians 6 - 12 years ago
We have to be separated with the things that defile the ministry that is in us inorder to be workers that are accepted before God; that it should not, that we have received the grace of God in vain.
  • Geraldine BLagman on 2 Corinthians 6 - 12 years ago
I believe that God blessed me with his grace, righteousness, and truth. That came through Jesus Christ, which is the only way we can get salvation. Now that we have received this most gracious gift We must fellowship with even yoke people who are save through,Jesus Christ. (We the church, and each other are the body of Christ. This is were we gather to worship to God.The Trinity,to give thanks to Jesus for a debt that we can never repay. but we thank him for the horrible death,he suffered for the world sins(all of us ). The church is a building where we meet to show respect. And we must fellowship with His Father's (God, Abba, Our Lord And Savior Jesus Christ, And The Holy Ghost ) each other to be keep what we have been bless with, stay in the word,be in church so we can take the message of the Gospel Of Jesus Christ kingdom to the world. To save souls, so we all can see our Savior Jesus Christ face to to face. Abba the father God,and Holy Ghost will be please ! Also to tell the world when Jesus Christ came it was the end of the law, Upon his arrival we are under Grace

we which are saved, whom have been wonderfully changed from our former lives are lovingly warned by our Father in Heaven in this passage. Be careful, be seperated. The unbeliever needs salvatation first then companionship.
  • Doris on 2 Corinthians 6:14 - 13 years ago
I think it means if you marry or yoke up with a bond of anykind with unbelievers in Christ that you will reap not only the consequences of your sins, but theirs also.
  • Anonymous on 2 Corinthians 6:1 - 14 years ago
Don't be so quick trying to work on others salvation. Work out your own salvation with fear and trimbling, And receving it by having faith as size of a mustard seed, That you will not labourer in vain, And we have been set aside,so we must live holiness before good.
