Christina's comment on 12/15/2016, 4:16am...

Being unequally yoked can defile the believer,as well as the believer never inherit God's Kingdom

Barbara's comment on 10/17/2015, 4:08am...

This world is not our home so why get comfortable here. We do not belong here if we are Christians. It is like visiting. It is not our home and we dont belong so we dont make ourself too comfortable.

Lilian's comment on 6/02/2015, 4:34am...

We need to invite the Holy Spirit in every moment of our lives. God is available all the time and His door is always open. We must obey his words and commandments. We must meditate his words day and night all things that we need will be added and we will be always prosper. Listening to his words are more powerful than prayers. Our prayers must be completed with thanksgiving and praising God for his love endures forever. His love and mercy is always with us. Thanks to Jesus for his precious blood that shed for us. Amen

Ernest's comment on 3/23/2015, 8:46am...

it was the word of today for me and it warned me to be pure and change my life style to be come a better Christian, and stop doing the things God has delivered me from

Emerald's comment about verse 17 on 3/21/2015, 5:00pm...

Separate yourself from anything you used to worship or do still worship other than Me. Draw close to me with your whole heart, let nothing worldly or dirty come between us, worship only Me and I will be everything you need.

Babatunde Fadairo's comment about verse 2 on 1/15/2015, 11:10pm...

God want us to be very attentive to him and he want us to call him and find him at any acceptable time, the fact is that all times are acceptable in the site of the lord but we must make our self available.

Prophet Bob Blessings's comment on 10/21/2014, 4:42am...

This verse 6 powerfully says that when you have change everything becomes new, so we ust not be yoked with things that are negative to God.

Tony Searight's comment on 8/24/2014, 7:27am...

Paul truly is an example of suffering for Christ Sake......

Andrew Ojiezel,Lagos,Nigeria's comment on 7/07/2014, 5:03pm...

I see 2 Corinthians 6 as command to all Christians to be separated from every work of darkness. That once you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord, then you must not have fellowship with sins works of darkness .You must be distinguised from agent s of darkness.

Evangelist Chidinma's comment on 4/15/2014, 12:22pm...

Many don 't understand it when God says come out from among them.touch not the unclean, separate ourselves from them and l will receive you and you shall become my sons and daughters. We must separate from them as we can not be unequally yoked with the ones we condemn their actions and expect to become sons and daughters of God. God is holy and we must be holy to maintain relationship with him because sin separates us from God so we must be received by God as we coming out from among them.May the Lord give us wisdom to understand what separation means though in the world but not as the world your character and actions as a believer of the word of God will do the math.tThe way you live will convince God and the world that you separated from the worldly manner as you please God be bless.

Danny's comment on 4/04/2014, 5:22am...

I agree with Carol. For the traditions religious of men are not the traditions of God. Almighty God says to keep my laws my judgments and my statutes and I will receive you.

Allan's comment about verse 17 on 3/20/2014, 1:57pm...

It means to separate yourself from the world and embrasing the body of CHRIST Separation not isolation I used to be a smoker drinker and use to do drugs it would be foolish to socialize with people who have such bad habits The spiritual and the flesh will always be in oppotition The LORD called every believer out of bondage to serve HIM alone as he is a jealous GOD

Ayuk's comment on 3/08/2014, 8:56am...

Its good to know its so clear God and idol cannot mix

STANLEY's comment about verse 14 on 2/25/2014, 5:49am...

You must have a common ground that is same religion A good example is Samson he married a philistine and disaster followed Ahab married Jezebel and idol worship was introduced in lsrael So many a times you are influenced in the wrong direction instead of you influencing

Donné's comment about verse 14 on 12/17/2013, 2:17pm...

I dated a guy for 1 and a half years. He left me 8 months ago. However through our entire relationship and even when I met him I knew he didn't believe in God. I thought I could pray for him or try and make him see how much he needs the Lord. He didn't want to know any of it. When he left me I was so torn up, I ended up in hospital with depression. Its taken me till now to realise and listen to God's voice.... I don't want or need a non-believer in my life...let alone be married to one someday. I cannot believe I was so torn up about him when he doesn't even love and serve my Lord.

I think this scripture deserves more attention during preaching and Church services and I fully agree with the scripture. I was backsliding in my relationship with the Lord and I didn't even notice it because all I could see was this guy I was dating.

Terry's comment about verse 17 on 11/20/2013, 12:43pm...

I agree with Albert's comment. I believe it means separate yourself from unbelievers, those that are known by their fruits, lest they bring the believer down. Only a remnant are God's people. Some think they are but, the lifestyle they live speaks otherwise.

William Jones's comment on 11/18/2013, 7:11am...

Sir, I don't know what report of 'men' it ever speaks of in God's inspired word {KJV} but a report from men 'of' Christ's life, death, resurrection, and ascension. Also no variety of conditions and reports, sir, is anyones 'way' to heaven.
There is only one way to heaven, and that is through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ... Amen. Thanks to God and Prayers.

Carol grant's comment about verse 17 on 11/10/2013, 6:58am...

I believe the Lord is refering to the false relitious world, to seperate yourselves from them....as they are unclean

Anonymous's comment on 9/23/2013, 6:46am...

I love the Lord with all of my heart. I go to my fapther everyday and pray. The Lord is my best friend, I know he is there for me always. It is best to stay close to the Lord and to be with people who also believe.

Katthagen92's comment on 9/15/2013, 4:19am...

We as Christians are not to be unequally yoked with non believers. That is speaking for marriage, when we marry and have sex we are yoked together (become one flesh) we are not to do this because the christian will want to live a life and raise children a certain way while non believers will oppose. We are to come out from our non believer friends also. This does not mean cut them off but 'Come out from them", meaning dont hang out with them and do the things they do. Come out from them.

ALLAN's comment about verse 14 on 8/11/2013, 5:22pm...

Unless the LORD builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Psalm 127:1 ESV

Steven Dickey's comment about verse 14 on 7/09/2013, 5:55pm...

this scripture not only speaks of marriage but also of being in close relationship with non believers. IE. Friends , what fellowships does light have with the darkness is saved by the blood of Jesus and unsaved. Jesus was and is the son of God he is the only one who went to the unsaved to teach and preach and love them into seeing their own , need for him . religion is an Institution made by man . not God. God calls us to a relationship with him, His Spirit and His Son. If we are genuinely seeking God and a relationship with Him , you will not be caught up in being unequally yoked with any nonbeliever . the question we need to ask ourselves is are we witnessing to them as nonbelievers or are they influencing us to backslide away from God.......

Albert camper's comment about verse 17 on 6/24/2013, 11:03am...

means separation. does not mean continuation
of what we used to do, with the people we
used to do things with.

R. D. Mattock's comment on 3/10/2013, 6:21pm...

Today is the appointed time, not tomorrow. God said my Spirit will not always strive with man. The word tomorrow has sent more people to hell. We read these words in the Bible from Felix (my interpretation); Paul stops the message and at a more convenient time I will get saved. We never read where he did give his heart to Jesus.

Mas's comment on 12/26/2012, 1:04am...

@Lori Wilson,
To “be unequally yoked together with unbelievers” does not limit to marriage relationship; in fact it’s a misinterpretation of this scripture. It simply means don’t walk in the way of the wicked ones, because the wicked ones feel comfortable with those ways, while we as believers will very very uncomfortable with such ways. Believers will unprotected and unsafe walking in those ways, while unbelievers may walk in them out of duty (Isaiah 29:20). So that is the unbalance the apostle Paul is speaking of.
As to marrying a person who is from another religion, I believe the key is love and how you agree to live as a married couple. You may succeed to convert your spouse to Christianity, likewise your spouse may convert you to his/her religion. So, all depends on how strong and spiritual you are. And as believer, I understand you don’t engage in a relationship by chance, but you seek first God’s direction and guidance (Proverbs 18:22). Please remember that some of the unbelievers are Christians, but as the devil has blinded their minds, they just chose to walk in darkness, of those too, the Apostle Paul says we must “turn away” (2 Timothy 3:5).
God bless you.
