Richard!: You need to read that verse again. It says the god of this world has blinded the minds of those that don't believe. god of this world is Satan. He is still blinding people so they don't see The Light. Have you been called? John6:44--forgiving 1John 1:9- You "will" be Baptized with The Holy Ghost Matthew3:11. You will "know" impossible not to know!
  • Richard Merrell on 2 Corinthians 4 - 7 years ago
IT is taught that 2 Corinthians 4:4 is a reference to the devil, but that is incorrect, rather it is GOD, and I would warn those who teach that it refers to Satan, that this is blasphemy.

We face every day trials but God is always by our side some times it's seemed bleak and endless the trial but there are always a way out and when Father carried us through we are well carried through. And no one can stop the hands of God that brought us through.

So many people these days, use their philosophies to refute Christians and the Bible, saying there is no God. But they have deceived themselves. They do believe in god, not the God of the Bible, but the god of themselves. They have put themselves on the throne of their hearts, deciding what is right and wrong, what is truth and what is error. Of course, this god changes attributes from person to person because what may be right to one is not necessarily right for another, shifting sand in practice. But, their god s all share a common denominator, they arise from the original exalter of himself, Satan. I will says the god of this world. As Christians we should humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, that we should be exalted in due time. Put Christ on the throne of your heart, bow the knee, He is the true God and the firm foundation to build your life upon. He is the truth the life and the way!

This is great exposure of the devil. Activities of darkness never like the light. The god of the world surely blinds a lot that they may not see the reality of truth.

Satan is the god of this world, he has blinded mankind. The world didn 't inherit an evil nature, it was caused by Satan. even good Christians have been deceived, they forget Gods plan and why Christ is returning to replace Satan as the king of this world. it hasn 't happened yet, because we are having a chance to learn God 's way of becoming a righteous family to live in God 's kingdom on this earth.

the treasure that is in the believer represents the power of God the power to lay hands on the sick and they recover, the power that is in us is God working through us to perform that which is pleasing to him the power to speak a mountain in your life and command it to be moved this power is an excellent treasure that is bestowed on us because of our continued relationship with Him and His grace and mercy that is extended to us because Jesus absorbed the wrath of God that was meant for humanity because of our sin it made us righteous to receive Gods power to live within us

I am giving this comment on verse 18.this verse really bless my soul, when it says the things which are seen are temporal. but the things which are not seen are eternal.Glory be to god, I thank god for that word, because that is what i 'm doing in my life. I don 't look at the things in this world which are seen. I got my mind , my heart and my soul focused on the things which I can not see. which is heaven and eternal life. I don 't waste my time by focusing on these worldly things. because these things which are seen, can 't save my soul and salvation is not in none of these worldly things. only god, which is the word can save me. so that I can receive his gift of eternal life. I said all that to say this, pray and ask god to help you to keep your mind, heart and soul on the things which are not seen. I can truly encourage all those who read this, it will bless your life and your soul. and also read verse 18, I guarantee you if you got understanding of that verse. I can honestly say, it will bless you. thank you for taking the time to read what I had to say and wanting to share. god bless you, glory be to god.
  • Brianna on 2 Corinthians 4:4 - 9 years ago
Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers. Some people won 't even consider God as a possibility or even peer into the Bible. They feel it is nonsense to do so. But nothing is impossible! Paul was a very stubborn person, but God was able to peel back the blinders on him, and allowed him to use his life to help others do so as well.
  • Vern on 2 Corinthians 4:9 - 9 years ago

This chapter is significant to our walk in Jesus Christ. Being in God 's kingdom, is having God 's kingdom in you. Regardless of our flesh which died when Christ died, the Spirit lives in us. It 's a true treasure.
  • James Merritt on 2 Corinthians 4:9 - 9 years ago
2 Corithians 4 9 reminds us that life 's challenges will come and those challenges will test our personal will and our faith in God. However, God is our strength and during these times he will not allow us to be destroyed by our enemy. We may be cast down for now, but with Christ we are never destoyed. James Merritt II

2 Corinthians 4 13 The spirit of faith does not stop at believing but you have to activate it by speaking out and confessing what you have believed and Ultimate results will surely be ours!Speak to that mountain and it shall be moved! Hallelujah!
  • Sabina on 2 Corinthians 4:18 - 9 years ago
I try to live my life by 2corinthians 4 18 mostly everyday, because its very challenging in a world that many people are materialistic. What we don 't see is how fast everything we see can disappear rapidly. I have experience gods love and power, so nothing else I see can truly influence me from knowing this divine love for me. If we focus on what we see, than we are not setting our self to have a true relationship with god. Our enemy of this world will always try to direct us in focusing on what is seen, because he doesn 't want us to receive the divine love of god. when I fine myself thinking or looking at what is not of god I usually redirect my mind to this chapter and verse. Who ever will read this, know that god love you and also pray for me to fight spiritual warfare against all my enemies.
