Bar. Hit that & you can read what the scholars have written. Very enlightening.

Another day is Dawning, Another day's begun. Another day to turn to God and pray, "thy will be done." A day to slay Doubt's- as you give yourself to Him. A Day to live with Purpose. A Day to Share God's Blessings- in quiet countless ways; that touch the Heart with Hope and Joy, and Brighten Cloudy Days. A Day for rejoicing, for Gratitude and Praise; Because His Love Holds you- Both Now, and all your Days. A Day to Believe- and have Faith in the Prayer you just Prayed- That Good is to come to you that day. For Prayer is Strong, no matter what might go wrong. Never Doubt what you ask, for Your Faith He wants to See. For Faith and Prayer go hand in hand- and the Reward, You will See!!! Amen

Dee. Right on....So true. Instead of being in fear- Get down on your knees and tell God you are so sorry for the human race that condemned Him for starting this. It is to be respected for what and why it was. Respect others. No self any more. No rushing around anymore. Stop..Look..what God gave you. Respect God and His Son Jesus for what they did for you. Read His word the Bible. Notice how short your life can be now. Celebrate instead of complaining about your day. God is good. God is mighty. God can change your day within a second. Never think you are in control. You are not!!!

Thank God everyday. Look at His Creations and thank him for showing you each time you notice. Praise Him everyday

18 While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen, for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal...... It is amazing as it relates to SALVATION because once we are SAVED our sight can grows dimer and dimer concerning the perishing earthly things or this and that. ETERNITY /SALVATION through John 3:16 reserve a personal seat for you or I at THE MARRIAGE SUPPER OF THE LAMB, Rev 19:7, and what a day that will be.

I write what the Holy Spirit wants to respond. He oft uses my testimony. Southern Baptist childhood and into the occult. I sought answers from the Bible but I got nothing. I needed the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Not a ritual. My life was worse than sad and moved into despair and dark. One night I was sitting in a dark room and prayed 'Help me', over and over. I didn't say a proper scriptural Baptist prayer. I said the agony and pain of a soul wanting to give up. Jesus came to me, little over a year later. I've never wanted to go back to Egypt (sin).

Hello, good questions. The first sentence is an incorrect assumption. People read the Bible (like you), try to understand it, and if you believe it, then you try to apply it. If you believe in Jesus Christ and choose to follow Him, then by definition you are a Christian (a Christ-follower). So, if you did these things right now you would also be a Christian. So, when you say something like 'matches your particular beliefs' that sounds like an assumption for everyone that isn't true. You're correct that people interpret things differently and part of the reason there are different denominations- often the differences are small. God wants to be sought through effort: Acts 17:27
  • Ratiocination - In Reply on 2 Corinthians 4:4 - 4 years ago
So why is it "just a metaphor" or "a logical fallacy" or "taken out of context" when it contradicts your sect's dogma, but gospel truth when it matches your particular beliefs? I understand about figures of speech and poetic license, but the bible is rife with easily misunderstood and opposing passages; thus, we have tens of thousands of Christian denominations, each convinced it has The Truth and believing all the other guys are off base. And everyone has proof texts from the same book. Wouldn't a divinely inspired book by an all-powerful "only 1 God" be able to do a better job at clarity than that?

Explain "Let us" in Genesis 1:26 and again in Genesis 11:7. Also, "I and my Father are one and the same."

Isaiah 10:18 - And shall consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body: and they shall be as when a standardbearer fainteth. (Body and Soul different)
Isaiah 26:9 - With my soul have I desired thee in the night; yea, with my spirit within me will I seek thee early: for when thy judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. (Soul and Spirit are different)
Genesis 1:26 - And God said, Let US make man in our image, after OUR likeness
Genesis 1:27 - So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
IF one man is Body, Soul and Spirit which is 3 parts God is 3 in 1.

Hello, I'm not sure if you're joking or serious, but in case you actually believe that I will be happy to clarify. Christianity believes in one God, period. There's several Bible references saying this, including 1 Corinthians 8:6, John 10:30, 1 John 5:7-8. Now, let's break down your comments. The 3 dimensions or personalities of God is not 3 gods, the scripture is clear.

Satan as 'god of the world' is a metaphor for satan just as 'prince of power of the air' is a metaphor 2 Corinthians 4:4. You could use the same logical fallacy to claim that satan must be prince then? No.

Jesus is called the 'arm of the Lord' so does that mean he's a literal arm? No.

The Bible is clear = only 1 God.
  • Ratiocination on 2 Corinthians 4:4 - 4 years ago
So, um, how many gods do Christians believe in then? Let's count. God the Father: 1. God the Son: 2. God the Holy Spirit: 3. And Satan, The God of This World: 4. Wow! Add a few more, and y'all can begin approaching Hinduism or animism. But your official line is there's only One True God? Still going with that one, yes?

Amen and Thank God. Yes, daily we are bombarded with COVID-19 and all the outpouring of disbelief, despair, fear. etc. I do not and will not allow fear for I know GOD is in control. I fear nothing except the wrath of GOD. Proverbs 3:5-6 - "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him and he shall direct thy paths." Amen and Thank God and Thank God for Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hallelujah. I going to keep praising and praying through it all and forever. Fear of the coronavirus pandemic has no hold on me. I remain steadfast on God's word. Amen.

On this day March 19,2020. We see the whole world panicing over an unseen virus. We can't ev?n touch it. But, the media puts it right in our faces on the TV and internet. The key thing they want to do is, to put fear and panic into the hearts of everyone.
Jesus tells us all to fear not! For he is with us always. He will lead the way thru the strom.
Doing the right things, but washing hands, keep our distants, etc. But, most of all is to pray alway.

This chapter illustrates the beauty of holiness. God gives us knowledge through Jesus Christ. As Jesus was raised to life by the power of God, as saints, we shall also be raised from the dead. We are troubled, perplexed, and persecuted, but never in despair and not forsaken. Jesus takes good care of his sheep. Lift up your heads and enjoy the salvation of the Lord.

All God wants is to dwell in man for man to express Him .."The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

Thank you so much for that Nancy. It was really nice and thoughtful. It is 'love' that made such a beautiful world, 'love' that made people - loving people, and it is 'love' that wishes to reside in ourselves. God's love. We are blessed. Much 'love' to you Sister

For me, this is the ultimate chapter of the bible. My favourite! It traverses our faith from end to end. Makes references to the creation of the world whilst illustrating the creation of the new man in Christ v6 , emboldens us to get through unfavourable circumstances v9-10 sets the course of the faith life in Christ v13 by which we have the assurance of the eternal weight of glory v17 !!!

Verse 18: Keeping our minds focused on the future blessings promised by Jehovah God in the Bible can help us to have hope and endure any present circumstances and struggles that we are facing.

2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: I don't ever want to hind the gospel from anybody. If I don't preach the GOSPEL, I am lost. It's hard for a saved born again child of God not to preach the GOSPEL. The Gospel is Christ Jesus our Lord.

Am I the only one that has a severe issue with how many different versions of one small paragraph there are? Who gives anyone the right to manipulate the words of the Bible itself? Why do we accept corporations that are profiting from the sales of Bibles changing the words? Humans are blind to the truth and his ways. Judge not, yet so quick to point fingers. Follow his guidance, or idolize a book?

Satan was cast out of heaven with his angels before Gen. for rebelling against God; wanting to usurp God's authority and be 'God' himself and he had a host of angels that followed him. This was done before Adam 'n Eve. The testimony of this event is corroborated by Jesus Himself - Lk.10:18. The prince of the power of the air, Eph.2:2. Tit.2:12, we are 'in' the world, but not 'of' it, Jn.15:19, 17.

The god of this age is Satan, he keeps lost sinners in the dark. ( John 12:31) He is the ruler of this world in which we live today. Read Romans 11:25 and 2nd Corinthian 3:14-16. Satan doesn't want the light of salvation to shine in the hearts of sinners.

GOD is the light of salvation. Amen!

God is the light of salvation.
