Hebrews 8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah: The new covenant is for the Jews not the Gentiles .
  • Brianna vs. 14 on 2 Corinthians 3 - 6 years ago
We are not under the Mosaic Law, that law has been done away with. We are not under the Law of Christ. The Bible refers to it as the New Covenant. The New Covenant does contain many of the same principles that were in the Mosaic, yet, not all. For example the blood of Jesus sacrifice did away with the need for animal sacrifices. The Mosaic law was never to be permanent.

2nd Cor. 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.
Thank GOD ALMIGHTY! He's worthy to be praised.
  • Phyllis Johnson on 2 Corinthians 3 - 7 years ago
There are no words for the word of GOD, and the beauty of 2 Corinthian:3. The Saints, must set an example, and be a true example for the body of Christ. We must continue to walk in love, peace, joy, and happiness, and hope to rescue others from darkness in the world for our Lord and Savior KING JESUS!
  • Kais on 2 Corinthians 3 - 7 years ago
What a glorious God we have. Thank you Jesus foor your precious blood. O halleluja we are justified by the blood of Christ. Thank You Jesus for Your blood that speaketh of better things than the blood of Abel. Thank You Lord that you have delivered us from the law of Moses by Your death. Halleluja, we are delivered from the law by the Body of Christ. Holy Spirit, we are led by You.
  • Rick on 2 Corinthians 3 - 7 years ago
Many misunderstand this, because they read it alone, not with other scriptures. The Law was set in stone and was death in that there was no forgiveness in it! But when the spirit of Christ came on and in the heart of men in the new testament, it brought (the vail removed) life, as it forgave and took away all the guilt and shame of the sin. The Law is still there, but death is conquered by Grace!
  • Josia on 2 Corinthians 3 - 7 years ago

We can connect our Spirit to the Holy Spirit Jesus only by meditating the words of God everyday. From his words we receive Peace that passes all understanding thanks to the blood of Jesus by his blood we are redeemed and pardoned and our sins are cleans . We must thank, think and talk about the blood of Jesus and worship him and praise him for he is worthy. Thank you Jesus Amen

verse 18 confirms the fact that the change we crave or desired can only be encountered by our undiluted focus on the Holy Spirit with his unlimited power. it is this Power that will enable us to experience the power that lifted Christ ,that death could not hold him captive even in the Grave, this Power is the one that will open our eye of understanding and put us in the Spirit realm or frequency

I think taking on the nature of Jesus Christ we are free from the bondage of sin and the guilt of shame being liberated in to soar high like the see and soar high like the eagle.
  • Delores Dunbar on 2 Corinthians 3:17 - 9 years ago
I am free praise the Lord free from the bondage of sin.Allululah Thank you Jesus
  • Kenneth on 2 Corinthians 3:17 - 9 years ago
I think exactly what it means, liberty from any kind of bondage. I literally live in that place where Christ is. I pray that the Church, the true Church of Christ experience this amazing place in HIM. Regardless of what 's happening around you, regardless of what people throw at you, there 's effect on you.
  • Dewey on 2 Corinthians 3 - 9 years ago

  • Bill on 2 Corinthians 3 - 9 years ago
The law by itself without the Spirit brings death, but the law the letter with the Spirit is life. John Van Gelderen 's message entitled Aglow with the Indwelling Christ has been a huge help to me. You can find it on sermonaudio dotcom.
  • Glory love on 2 Corinthians 3:9 - 9 years ago
The ministry of condemnation is the law. When a man sinned, the law condemned him to receive a purnishment according to the law. Deut. 28. There were also rewards in fulfilling the law but the ministry of righteousness is the exceeding grace of God which is received by faith. So the minstration of righteousness has more glory bse all men who believe qualify for the blessings of God bse Jesus fulfiilled every bit of the law.
  • Colonel on 2 Corinthians 3:17 - 9 years ago
thank you so much for let us know the truth, but can you help me with a bible
  • Tim George on 2 Corinthians 3:17 - 9 years ago
Now the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty. The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. We have this ministry by the grace of God, as the Spirit is over flowing in our lives, we have liberty in Christ. For Christ is the end of the law, to everyone who believes unto righteousness. So it is Christ who sets us free from the bondage of the law, because He fulfilled the law. We are therefore complete in Him, and being changed from glory to glory, by the Spirit of the living God.
  • Phoneman777 on 2 Corinthians 3 - 9 years ago
The Old Covenant agreement consisted of promises on the part of both God and Israel God would bless them if they obeyed. But, Israel broke their promises, so a better Covenant was needed. Enter the New Covenant, based on better promises b c they are all God 's promises Keep My commandments and I 'll bless you and btw I 'll come into your heart and do it for you. The same Law of Ten Commandments, previously written on stone, is now written on the heart, and not nailed to the cross that we might lie, cheat, steal, commit adultery, have other gods, etc. indiscriminately. They are eternal and any professing Christian who insists that God no longer requires us to obey Him doesn 't know anything about God. But, praise God that we can do ALL things, including overcome temptation and sin, through the indwelling Christ Who strengthens us.
  • Phoneman777 on 2 Corinthians 3 - 9 years ago
Since everyone has missed it, please allow me Paul is speaking of the COVENANTS. The Old, in which God said keep My Ten Commandments and I 'll bless you to which the people responded that they 'd do it in their own strength...in contrast with the New where God says keep My commandments and I 'll bless you and btw, I 'll come into your heart and keep them for you through the indwelling power of My Son and give you credit..and we now respond simply Thank you, thank you, Jesus.
  • Chidinma on 2 Corinthians 3 - 10 years ago
This chapter simply shows us the greatness of the work of salvation in Christ Jesus as the barrier between us and God has been removed because the invitation of the Lord Jesus Christ even as the son of God is for us to come unto him without fear in love and grace. The access is express before they were afraid of a prophet a great leader Moses who mediate between them and God but now the son says to us come look up to me.it is a great encouragement and victory and his word we must take serious as a spirit as God himself not as letter because the letter kills. Let us be bless as we believe and observe his word.
  • MockingBird on 2 Corinthians 3:18 - 10 years ago
When Moses went up the mount ,the glory of the Lord was within and on his face. he put a veil over his face to conceal the fading of the Glory of God from the children of Israel. Now the Glory of God is not fading away. Through Jesus Christ. We as children of God always have a Glow within and on us always. Praise God for His amazing Grace .
  • Toni on 2 Corinthians 3:18 - 10 years ago
The more we submit to the Holy Ghost and allow Him to work through us, the more like Christ we become. His brightness shines throuh us lightening our countenance bringing true the verse that says in Matt 5 14 "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill, cannot be hid. "
  • Tanya on 2 Corinthians 3 - 10 years ago
This is the New WINE which comes through Jesus It shows us grace It shows that the OT Law points out our sin to draw away from our worthlessness and to cling to the Righteousness of God which is given to us through Jesus Christ
