Vs. 4 Our God has supplied us comfort through the pages of the Bible. Many of the persons in the Bible serve as an example to us. As we read their examples and overcome trials we can be a source of encouragement to others. May we heed the counsel Matt. 28:19,20 and share the good news.

Brianna vs. 11's comment on 1/09/2016, 6:14am...

Verse 11 highlights the strength of the power of prayer. Here, Paul states that one way to help others is to pray for them. Just as prayer helped Peter escape unjust imprisonment, when we offer heartfelt prayer in the behalf of others, Jehovah God will certainly take notice.

Peter Nwogu Okim's comment on 11/13/2015, 8:15am...

the chapter deals with how our lives should be as Christian s and how we should respond to challenging situations that may threaten our faith, knowing that at the end we can only come out more stronger than we started. glory to God for ever.

Here can be seen the importance of church discipline. Our Lord has given instruction in Mt 18 how He wants it to be done. The ultimate goals are the restoration of the guilty, the purity of Christ 's church, and most importantly, the glory of God. Paul evidenced patience and love while at the same time not sidestepping a leader 's responsibility under Christ. Ultimately the guilty party was restored, God be praised.

God is sovereign He is The Lord and there is no other. Our job is to accept the life He has given us with Joy and Thanksgiving.

Shay's comment about verse 24 on 12/29/2014, 3:58am...

Paul acknowledged that the brothers in Corinth stood firm because of their own faith in Jehovah God. Paul saw no need to control the faith of his brothers, and he had no desire to do so. He was confident that they were faithful Christians who wanted to do what was right.

God is Faithfull. All that he promised his children in his word shall come to pass through Christ the author and finisher of our faith, Christ the hope of glory. May all his children say Amen!

Carol Barker's comment on 9/14/2014, 5:21am...

The word of GOD is sharper than any two edged sword,GOD can do without us but He chooses to do with us. I 've been going through a lot and have gone through a lot but I believe GOD is putting me to test so I can minister to someone.

BBAADD63's comment on 4/14/2014, 4:25pm...

I am speaking specifically about 2 Corinthians 1 20. I really love this scripture because it speaks to the perfectness of the Love God has for all His children. I know that I have prayed for things that maybe I should not have and God gave it to me so that i could learn how to pray more perfectly. The saying "be careful what you ask for " took on a whole new meaning when you recieve those things you think you want because you are not praying the will of God in your life. In that case God was saying "YEA. " Now that i am older and hopefully more wise, i try to pray the will of God according to the scripture for my life so that His Promises will be "Amen ", signifying that He agrees with me because I agree with His word. Perfect Will vs. Permissible Will. Let us strive for His Perfect Will in our lives.

Vivian's comment on 3/25/2014, 1:22am...

God is God all by himself. He is the beginning. and the end. He gave us the greatest gift every His Son. People is still getting it twisted God need us we need Him. God just want us to worship Him in truth and to love one another, trust and believe in His word.
