Wesley's Notes for 2 Corinthians 5:7

5:7 For we cannot clearly see him in this life, wherein we walk by faith only: an evidence, indeed, that necessarily implies a kind of seeing him who is invisible; yet as far beneath what we shall have in eternity, as it is above that of bare, unassisted reason.

Discussion for 2 Corinthians 5:7

  • Yes! We experience God only by faith. This experience of God is our reward. If you could reason and think your way to God - we would have a world of happy philosophers and academics. Every time we cast down logic and reason in favour of faith - is a step walked in faith.....towards God.
  • Lina Joseph for verse 7
There are times when we wonder how do we make it through from pay day to pay day. But through our faith when we believe God makes it possible for us we can make it through. God has been very good to me.
  • We walk by the revealed Word of God. Not by what we 'feel ' is the right way. It 's a day to day, minute by minute walk.
  • Nkrumah j.k for verse 7
If I look at constraints and challenges around me and feel unable and inadequate, I walk by sight and am carnally minded. But if I look unto Him God who is more than able to do exceedingly abundantly than I can ask or think of then I walk by faith.
  • DAVID DELGADO for verse 7
Faith comes to you, after you believe, and recieve Jesus as your savior. Trust in him in all things and thank him each, and every day.
  • MockingBird for verse 7
If I would allow the word of God to motivate me then I would be living by faith. To let the word of God be my final answer. To shut my eyes feelings to the things around me. Very rewarding to walk by Faith. Faith pleases God and when I please God then no foe can successufully be against me. praise God !!!!
