People's Bible Notes for 2 Corinthians 11:5

2Co 11:5 I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles. The Greek implies that these men claimed to be apostles. Paul says he is not behind these "pre-eminent apostles" (Revised Version, margin)--a stroke of sarcasm.

Not even if he says he will fly you away. Don't Go! When the 7th trump sounds and hail stones hit with the fire you will be alright because you waited for the true Christ.

Acts 9:23-25; 2 Cor. 11:32-33; How can anyone read these 2 scriptures and think they are of 2 different incidents .....? 2 Cor. is a RECOUNTING of Acts 9. Just as vs. 24 -27 are a recounting of PAST sufferings.

To the comment below this makes these Jews Anti-Christian.
  • As a "chaste virgin to Christ " Paul feared that the Corinthians would revert back to their former ways before they came into the knowledge of the truth. Prior to that time, they have been deceived just as Eve was!
