Eternal truths- For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds. But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.

Ray; We are born of the Water, clean through His Word, born from above of the Spirit, new creations in Christ! We are not full grown when we're born; but must grow in His grace and knowledge, by WORKING OUT OUR SALVATION through proving by fire! It is a chance to transform our very nature and character; but it is a FIGHT AGAINST all that has been our nature and character up until we were saved.

Verse 5: We must bring any negative or wrong thought into captivity and to make them obedient to the Christ. We need to find ways to combat negative thinking by applying encouraging Scriptures.

Paul is always writing to saved believers, mostly Gentiles. Peter wrote to Jewish believers in his epistles. John wrote to Jewish believers in his epistles. Every book in the Bible was written for a reason, but it all end up at the cross of Jesus Christ. The Bible, before the cross and after the cross, finally we have Salvation thru Jesus Christ our Lord by his finished works. Amen
