TO ME THIS PASSAGE IS ABOUT US AS CHILDREN OF GOD IS TO HUMBLE OURSELVES IN THE SIGHT OF HIM, TO DENY OUR SELEVES TAKE UP OR CROSS AND FOLLOW HIM TO SHUN THOSES THINGS THAT HE HATE SOMETIMES WE WONDER WHY WE CANT GET A PRAYER THROUGH OR GET SOME KIND OF SPIRTUAL INCOUNTER WITH HIM IS BECAUSE WE SIMPLY REFUSE TO HUMBLE OUR SELEVES IN HIS SIGHT
  • Mai F on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 10 years ago
there is always a condition (repentance) to receive privileges of sonship in God the Head... His Mightiness show His humility and His humility spreads the magnitude of His Love for His image and likeness (us) that he had scarred and sealed by the Blood of His Son, Christ Jesus... His mindfulness is surplus to us... we should always be more than grateful that this

  • Hattie Mitchell on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 10 years ago
What's amazing about God it that he loves us so much that he calls us his people even with our sinful ways. He also gives us the formula for healing in the land. So let's take heed and humble ourselves and seek his face. Selah

  • Kwirirai Rwere on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 10 years ago
If only we can submite ourselves to true worshiping then our land wil be healed. We need to cultivate a culture of being humble to God. Serving God is our main objective and we must always work towards that
  • HENRY ADDO on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 10 years ago
we can only receive answers to our prayers if we are humble and in the position of sonship that is someone who has given his life to Jesus christ and has left all his wicked ways.
  • LORNA TURYAHABWA on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 10 years ago
it means unless we do what is says , we can never recieve, deliverance, healing ,forgiveness and in all aspects be heard by God. Its a must verse all christians ought to abide by.
  • Nhamo on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 10 years ago
God does not want people to be called by other people's names or to be identified by the so called founders of various gatherings.Notice here (people called by my name)Think quickly and deeply and you will see a lot of people are happy being called and identified by names of people who when God views us all demands the same from them just like anybody else.Paul,in his first letter to the Corinthians is removing people from people and aligning them to God (What is Apollo, Cephas?)
  • Joyce on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 10 years ago
America has forgotten God. It was HE that established America has one of the richest and greatest nations of all times. George Washington stood during his inauguration and prayed a prayer to bless and prosper this nation (at that time in its infancy) in a small chapel in New York City very near what is now known as Wall Street and commanded this country to remember our Lord God, for in the day that we no longer looked to Him, then would began the downfall of this same great nation. We are there right now. It is the hour of 2nd Chronicles 7:14 and we must humble ourselves, turn from our wicked ways, seek God's face until our prayers are heard and when God hears from heaven the cries and prayers of the contrite hearts of His people then will he repond by "forgiving our sins" and "healing our land" this is the reciprocal truth of "IF" we do that which 2nd Chronicles has deemed must happen!
  • Elbert on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 10 years ago
jesus said it so clearly if a man come after me let him first deny himself/humility prayer first u have to be in position to pray/if u regard iniquity in your heart god will not hear u/ fasting jesus said when his disciples could not heal the chld; this requires fasting and prayer in other words get out of yourself/ seek ye first the kingdom and all other things will be added unto u so wherever god is reigning and ruling that's where the kingdom can be found hopefully hes ruilng your heart/ turn fron sin and wicked ways because god will spit you out being lukewarm and jesus said repent the kingdom is at hand also he told nick u must be bornagin and don't be conform to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.the gospel is free but it will cost u your life
  • Denise on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 10 years ago
We are the land...The parable of the seed in different types of earth...That is us. Just as the "seed" is the word of God.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done IN earth, as it is in heaven. Notice IN not ON.
The promise of our inheritance is our healing.
2Cor 4:7 "But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us". Lamentation 4:2
"The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter"
When Jesus died, he gave us life. How much more healing would you want?
  • Dan'i on 2 Chronicles 7 - 10 years ago
If we would do as the word says in IIChron:14, I feel this entire world and mostly our country would be so much wiser, compassionate to ALL people and truly blessed.
  • Minister Stinson on 2 Chronicles 7 - 11 years ago
God is speaking to the church and even we have gone away from the statues, commandments, and judgments of God. Verse 14:"If my people, which are called by my name, etc." would repent from our evil ways, prayer has gotten away from the church. We pray when we need something and it is time again to seek his face and not what he can do for you, because in our seeking; everything else is provided. The world is watching the church folks!
  • RACHEL WAMBUI on 2 Chronicles 7 - 11 years ago
A contrite spirit and a humble heart, GOD will not despise. Fasting and prayers are a symbol of that. Therefore we are assured that He will answer our prayers.
  • Estone on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 11 years ago
    I like you work.
  • Rukenya on 2 Chronicles 7 - 11 years ago
God, my God is the God that not only hears prayers but also answers them. He is the God of covenant; and delights in keeping his covenants. He is the just God that rewards men according to their doings. I love this God.
  • Lucy Cleary on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 11 years ago
The word means just what it said and it is self explanatory.
  • Jude on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 11 years ago
It takes a humble heart to have a good relationship with God whether as a person, group of people, community or a nation.
  • Clint on 2 Chronicles 7 - 11 years ago
    @Gary Loyd,
Where and how do you come up with that? Apostle Paul said if we have food and clothing, we should be content with that! Nowhere in bible does it say its sin to be poor! Paul didnt mention houses, just food and clothing! Get it right Gary and stop poisoning young Christians with YOUR doctrine! Please.
  • Renee on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 11 years ago
I believe that we also gain from the Old Testament. I feel that we can apply this scripture to the world today. If we look around at what's happening in the land today you can visibly see that the world is in great trouble and needs the prayers of the righteous to intercede for it. I feel that this scripture can be used to help us get back on the right track. Christians have to learn how to rightly divide the word, study and seek God for the truth regarding the scriptures.
  • MRS MACK on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 11 years ago
I think we are not humble because we do not fast and pray enough........furthermore there is too much division in the church....we are undefeated by our adversary when we work in unity.......the bible says the race is not given to the swift nor the battle to the strong but to those that endure to the end...and our faith is fairly weak...to put it simply we have fallen out of love with the lord.....he did say if we love him we would obey his commandments.......and frankly today the reason why we dont see signs and wonders is because we are in disobedience.........some of us need to go back to basic.
  • Silas Peprah on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 11 years ago
I think that if we truly do as God says to us through his word we as Christians on this earth will be the most happily lived people on this earth, but if we don't we will keep on suffering till the end of days.
  • GB on 2 Chronicles 7 - 11 years ago
Yes, surely if we forsake our wicked ways, and humble ourselves and pray, He will heal this land. Prayer has to come back to schools. "Ten Commandments" should be placed in all Courthouses for all to see. We as Christians should stand united and pray for God to move, and He will.
