  • Adam - In Reply on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 4 years ago
Good for you for being an encouragement to others- a light in a dark world is what we're called to be. Believing is usually a matter of the heart, not necessarily intellectual arguments. So, I would pray for him and just show love as a Christian would to others. When people see that light and your joy they will become curious and maybe open their heart to learning about Jesus. May God bless you!

There are many people that do not believe in Christ at my school and they say they were a mistake because their parents had them on accident and that they are an atheist because they don't believe in God because they believe they have no purpose in life. I always tell them that everyone serves a purpose whether it be to work at a restaurant or to be a pastor but they say that if i stay out of their business then maybe they would actually like me. I made friends with an atheist and I tell him about God all the time and He'll just be arguing with me asking questions and I answer them and he just does not believe me because he feels as if he is worthless. What should I do?
  • Cheyennathompsonmypcboenet on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 4 years ago
I agree, he made us to serve a purpose and i believe that he is my father and that is why I love him. And he is always there for me when I need him even if I am being a little hard headed.
  • Sandra Powell on 2 Chronicles 7:14 - 4 years ago
All I can say is Jesus is Real! And I love Him!

God remains a living God in our daily experiences as He was in David's reign.
Instead of worshipping the Lord as the true temple is our own mind and body to be presented whole inthe presence of the Lord people believe in mere sacrifices. Especially this moment of Corona virus and locust we need to prepare as Christians.

John 17:9 I (Jesus) pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
James 4:4 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
  • Susan Oce on 2 Chronicles 7 - 4 years ago
I delight in 2 Chronicles 7:3. As children of God, we should worship and praise the Lord in spirit and in truth. The sole reason for worshipping and praising God is that He is good and His mercy endures forever. God also promises in verse 17 to establish us if we obey his commands and observe his statutes and judgements.

Wow ,what a dedication of the temple. The faith of David and Glory to God revealed through His son Solomon, building the temple. Just like the promise to David, Our God has made promises to all people, through Jesus Christ. Our new temple who fills all in all making a new eternal temple in the heavens. The ultimate sacrifice "our sacrificial atonement to the Lord of Hosts. For our light affliction, which is for the moment, worketh for us a more exceedingly eternal weight of glory. Pray always

At the time, Solomon and many of the princes of Israel, were sanctified and obedient, and so the glory of God filled the place and He showed by fire from heaven. So the Congregation fulfilled their services and returned home from the feast praising the LORD for His goodness. But to the king in private God appeared in a dream to speak concerning these things, and of the weight of responsibility attached to his own faithfulness. For the people are subject to their rulers and those whom God has set over them in the Lord. The sheep would be destroyed if the shepherds became wicked and forsook the LORD.

"But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them; then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them..." YES, the Lord is merciful and gracious and forgiving, when we fear Him and repent and seek Him with all our heart; but once being saved and blessed, IS NOT a free pass!
