Wesley's Notes for Romans 15:24

15:24 Into Spain - Where the gospel had not yet been preached. If first I may be somewhat satisfied with your company - How remarkable is the modesty with which he speaks! They might rather desire to be satisfied with his. Somewhat satisfied - Intimating the shortness of his stay; or, perhaps, that Christ alone can throughly satisfy the soul.

People's Bible Notes for Romans 15:24

Ro 15:24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain. It was his purpose to go to Spain as a new field. The New Testament does not record that he ever carried out this purpose, though it is the testimony of the early church that he did. To see you in my journey. He only intended to stop for a season, in passing through, for the reason that there was already a church there. God willed that it should be otherwise.

Paul wanted the Christians in Rome to know that he planned to visit there! Both Jews and Gentiles were recipent’s of his letter. He emphasizes that man's justification before God depends on the mercy of Christ and not on the law of Moses. Paul gives his reason for the Epistle and review some of their characteristics. Various personal greetings are extended in
    conclusion of this writing!
