17Euen so, euery good tree bringeth forth good fruit: but a corrupt tree bringeth forth euill fruit. 18A good tree cannot bring forth euil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19Euery tree that bringeth not forth good fruit, is hewen downe, and cast into the fire. 20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21¶ Not euery one that saith vnto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdome of heauen: but he that doth the will of my father which is in heauen.

People's Bible Notes for Matthew 7:19
Mt 7:19,20 Every tree . . . is hewn down, and cast into the fire. The test of good and bad trees, good and bad men, good and bad systems, has been presented. Now the figure is carried further to show their destiny. The Savior states a principle that seems to run through the whole government of God. Whatever is useless and evil shall finally be swept away.
