People's Bible Notes for Matthew 4:11

Mt 4:11 Then the devil leaveth him. Luke adds, "for a season" (Lu 4:13). When the devil is resisted he always flees. Angels came and ministered to him. I suppose this ministry was to supply him with food, but they also would afford spiritual sympathy.

Know ye not my Holy Father gives not the Spirit by measure unto him? It is written, If we believe not, yet he abides faithful: he cannot deny himself. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
