Wesley's Notes for Matthew 25:15

25:15 To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one - And who knows whether (all circumstances considered) there be a greater disproportion than this, in the talents of those who have received the most, and those who have received the fewest? According to his own ability - The words may be translated more literally, according to his own mighty power. And immediately took his journey - To heaven.

People's Bible Notes for Matthew 25:15

Mt 25:15 Unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one. The talent was not a coin, but a weight, and was especially applied to the weighing of the precious metals. The Hebrew talent is variously estimated to be equivalent to a weight of silver ranging from $1,500 to $2,500. To every man according to his own several ability. The sums entrusted to the servants were graded by their capacity. The trust of the Lord to each servant is measured according to his mental ability, wealth, position, or influence.

  • I AM THAT MICHAEL ISAAC DALE:
The wicked lie saying, No where does it say who the two witnesses are. But I believe they could be any 2 of these 3. But it could be you and me or any two saints. I ask God lots of time for Him to let me be one of them. It would be an honor to die again for Christ. YE NEITHER WITNESS NOR HONOUR ME. It is written, I am one that bear witness of myself, and the Father that sent me bear witness of me.

ch.25: mainly be diligent and responsible with what you have been given-God is coming with rewards in His hand. We may be surprised by the things he has kept in our account when we get to heaven, but we know the Father desires to give us the kingdom. I don't want to be a goat!

The reason why the dead in Christ rise first, is because they have to come from 6 feet under. Their bodies are meeting-up with their spirit in the air. Those alive and remain are on the earth. They do not have far to go. That is why the dead in Christ has to rise first. Both those who are dead, and those alive will receive their Glorified Bodies. Just like Our Lords. A Bloodless Body! GLORY!!!!
