Wesley's Notes for Luke 12:25

12:25 Which of you can add the least measure - It seems, to add one cubit to a thing (which is the phrase in the original) was a kind of proverbial expression for making the least addition to it.

LUKE 12:15 and HE said unto them take heed and beware of covetousness for a mans life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth JOHN 14:6 JESUS saith unto him I am the way the truth AND THE LIFE no man cometh unto THE FATHER but by ME JOHN 6:63 it is the spirit that quickeneth the flesh profiteth nothing THE WORDS that I SPEAK unto you they are spirit and THEY ARE LIFE

5 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? This has nothing to do with your 'height'. This means by thinking you can not add one second to the years of your life.

If we closely observe the ravens or birds we see that they are fed and are clothed with beautiful feathers. If Jehovah God takes care of these creatures, how much more so will he take care of us?

Why worry? Remember there is GOD our GOD the Omnipotent, Omnipresence, Omniscient. Mighty of all. The LORD of all. Hallelujah!

Jehovah God cares for the birds by giving them what is needed to feed them and make sure they are clothed. If God cares for the birds, we can have confidence that he will care for our needs.

Verse 4~ The worst thing another human can do to us is to put us to death. Our everlasting life lies in the hands of Jehovah God and it is to him that we should be faithful and loyal to in everything.
