Wesley's Notes for Hebrews 7:3

7:3 Without father, without mother, without pedigree - Recorded, without any account of his descent from any ancestors of the priestly order. Having neither beginning of days, nor end of life - Mentioned by Moses. But being - In all these respects. Made like the Son of God - Who is really without father, as to his human nature; without mother, as to his divine; and in this also, without pedigree - Neither descended from any ancestors of the priestly order. Remaineth a priest continually - Nothing is recorded of the death or successor of Melchisedec. But Christ alone does really remain without death, and without successor.

People's Bible Notes for Hebrews 7:3

Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother. See PNT "Heb 7:1". Nor end of life. None as he appears in history. As far as he is revealed to us, he is a living character, one that lives right on, like unto the Son of God. The Apostle does not affirm this was absolutely so, but that it is thus that Melchizedek appears on the background of early history. He abideth, in the Sacred Record, "a priest continually".

Who can understand the mechanics of the Supreme Being. Noone! We don't even fully understand the mechanics of being alive in a body which has a end, but the Spirit which enlivens us doesn't. Melchidec appeared out of nowhere to Abraham as an emissary and is never heard from again. You say he was Jesus walking the earth on a recon mission. I say that Jesus was born of woman, Melchisidec wasn't
