HEBREWS 13:9 be not carried about with diverse and strange doctrines for it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace not with meats which have not profited them TITUS 2:11 for the grace of GOD that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men --2:12-- teaching us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts we should live soberly righteously and godly in this present world

Vicki; You are right; however, if there's really a work of grace wrought in our heart, it must also then reflect in our way of life, our character, our works! While the Law exposes the sinner and condemns; isn't it by the light of God's righteousness, which is to be the mark of His people; to love God with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind and strength; and our neighbor as ourselves?

Read the Holy Scriptures and He the holy spirit will guide you in the name of the Holy Father , The Word, and The Holy Spirit, Amen...

Vicki (cont.); As far as whether we are saved by grace "OR" works of the Law; we know that we wouldn't even have access or right to lift up our face before God without Jesus: and all that we are and all that we do is by His grace and because of His mercy and dying on the cross for us! But we are saved for a reason! To show forth the Law of God BY OUR CHANGED LIFE, by the Spirit of Grace and Truth!
  • A disciple
Vicki; To put it as simply as possible; we are made in the image and likeness of God; after His nature and character. We are made for the sole purpose of being children of the divine family; resembling "our Father in heaven." The Law which was given to govern Israel, (and so therefore, every nation under Israel), is spiritual and is fulfilled from out of a heart that loves God and the neighbor.
  • Vicki
Servant of God, we’re under the NT covenant of grace not the OT covenant of the law. We indeed are saved by grace through faith in Christ and nothing else. No one will be saved by trying to keep, the law.
