Wesley's Notes for Genesis 28:6

28:6 This passage comes in, in the midst of Jacob's story, to shew the influence of a good example. Esau now begins to think Jacob the better man, and disdains not to take him for his pattern in this particular instance of marrying with a daughter of Abraham.

Verse 1- Isaac knew that the choice of a marriage mate was important and he conveyed this point to his son.

Jacob didn't confess his name the first time, so he received a blessing intended for someone else, that blessing never came he spend much of his life striving and running away, until one night face to face with God he wrestle and asked for his blessing, then God ask him what is you name? but this time he did not lie he said I am Jacob then God truly bless him and changed his name to Israel.

Frankie; "I truly can't understand why Jacob is being Blessed by God after deceiving Isaac the way that he did..." "There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes but is not washed from their filthiness." While many use everything instead of Christ to establish their own righteousness, God is about to humble them and take everything away from them wherein they trust, who obey not the truth.

Frankie: Jacob is blessed because he is 2nd Born. God doesn't accept first born. A Picture of Salvation, ye must be born again. Has The Holy Spirit tugged on Your Heart: John 6:44. Answer His call while He is near. Ask Forgiveness. You will be Washed by The Blood of The Lamb: Revelation 1:5. Frankie (cont.); God rules over the matters and times of this world and He directs the good and the evil according to His own will, to bring men to repentance and the knowledge of the truth. We were not made and born into the world to live for self without God. This world as it is right now is not God's final plan for man; but He waits for the completion of the times to finish our salvation.

    ‭‭Romans‬ ‭9:12-13‬ ‭
“Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it
