Wesley's Notes for Exodus 33:22

33:22 I will put thee in a cleft of the rock - In that he was to be sheltered from the dazzling light, and devouring fire of God's glory. This was the rock in Horeb, out of which water was brought, of which it is said, That rock was Christ, #1Cor 10:4|. 'Tis in the clefts of this rock that we are secured from the wrath of God, which otherwise would consume us: God himself will protect those that are thus hid: and it is only through Christ that we have the knowledge of the glory of God. None can see that to their comfort, but those that stand upon this rock, and take shelter in it.

So many people say they want to see God's glory but don't know they'll die if they do. You are in the Clift of The Rock n it's covered by God's hands because it is not time for you to know and receive that blessing yet. Just be happy that you are being protected, guarded and when it is God's will, he will remove his hand and you'll be able to see what God has left BEHIND for you to enjoy n share.

In verse 11, ...but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. We have a High Priest interceding for us... In Zechariah, Joshua the high priest was clothed in filthy rags then clean clothes were given to him and Zechariah referred to the BRANCH. Also later when Joshua was given a crown... I believe these 3 instances foreshadow the Name above every Name!!!

Verse 13~Moses prayed to know Jehovah God's ways. He had witnessed many miracles and had the chance to know some of God's ways but he wanted to keep learning.
